Finally Holycow Sabang !!

Hi Openricers !

Siapa sih yang gak kenal sama steakhouse yang satu ini? Yupp holycow salah satu steak house yang udah menjadi tempat favorit bagi para pecinta steak karena mereka memasang tag steak hotel, dari sejak pertama kali buka tempat ini sudah terkenal banget deh, sejarahnya ini cukup panjang loh sampai munculnya tempat ini, jadi pertama kalinya steak house yang satu ini buka di Radio Dalam dan langsung jadi pilihan utama orang buat makan ke steak, dan biasanya kalau makan disini pasti harus antri dan mereka bukanya ini pasti sore hari, tapi sebelum buka orang-orang biasanya udah pada antri buat mendapatkan steak yang satu ini nih, dan sekarang mereka memperluas jangkauan mereka dengan membuka cabang dengan sebutan TKP , nah kali ini yang terbaru adalah cabang mereka yang ada di Sabang yang udah gw nantikan banget deh, inilah dia Steak Hotel by Holycow!

Steak Hotel by Holycow ini punya 3 TKP sih setau gw hehe, ada Radal alias Radio Dalam, Kemang dan juga Sabang, TKP terbaru mereka adalah yang di Sabang ini, dan TKP yang satu ini udah lama banget deh gw kepingin cuma belum kesampean gara-gara banyak banget halangannya, padahal udah 2 kali dapet invitation buat mencicipi TKP yang sati ini, yang pertama langsung dari Holycownya dan yang kedua itu dari Openrice hehe, cuma sayangnya gak bisa hadir di kedua invitation tersebut, akhirnya waktu itu pulang kampus sebelum gereja gw sama pacar gw kesini deh hehe..

Kalau hari Sabtu kan kita pasti gereja, dan kebetulan waktu itu ada kuliah pagi sih, makanya cari gerejanya di Gereja St. Theresia situ, dan itu deket banget sama Sabang, karena belum makan siang juga makanya nih akhirnya kita memutuskan buat ke Holycow karena penasaran juga sama tempatnya, dan ternnyata mereka ini lokasinya berada di paling ujung dari Jl. Sabang ini, di sentra kulinernya yaaa, letaknya ada di lantai 5 Seremanis Building, disini selain Holycow ada makanan lain yaitu ada Indonesian food yang gw lupanya dan juga the baked goods hehe, jadi begitu masuk langsung naik lift aja ke lantai 5 dimana Holycow Steak ini berada hehe..

Sesampainya di Tempat makan yang satu ini kita akan langsung di sambut oleh para pelayan yang ramah dan langsung mengantar kita ke tempat duduk, ternyata selain suasana outdoor mereka yang membuat konsep steak disinin beda, ada juga tempat makan indoornya yang gak kalah istimewa, disini bersih banget, tapi buat kenyamanan memang yang di garden roof top area ini asiknya bukan main, apalagi sore-sore gini udaranya seger banget di tambah lagi dengan suasana asri karena banyak pohon dan juga teduh banget deh tempatnya, one of the coziest spot Holycow hehe, di tambah lagi dengan pelayanan yang cepat dan juga ramah, jadi makan disini semakin asik deh !

>>Cheese Stick

Sambil menunggu hidangan kita datang disini kita disajikan satu cemilan yang begitu enak dan menyenangkan yaitu cheese stick, hidangan ringan yang satu ini biasa kita dapat kalau kita di resto ala italia sih yaa, disini biasanya disajikan dalam toples gitu deh, kayak vas bunga sih sebenernya haha, di dalamnya berisi cheese stick ini, rasanya persis crackers gitu, simple banget sih, tapi cukup enak rasanya, dan lama-lama cukup berasa keju dan juga susunya, enak deh rasanya, seandainya cheese stick ini dijual sih rasanya gw mau deh beli ini buat cemilan dikala macet kalau pulang dari kampus hahaha, sayangnya gak dijual nih, rasanya memang enak !!

>>Prime Sirloin Steak
Price : IDR 72.000

Menu pertama ini adalah pesanan cewe gw, dia memang kalau steak paling suka itu sirloin karena menurut dia ada minyaknya di pinggir yang tebal apalagi dia selalu pesennya welldone, memang sih lebih kering dagingnya, tetapi selain dagingnya yang kering, minyaknya ini juga jadi lebih kering, sehingga lebih oke buat disantap, seperti biasanya daging disini adalah potongan yang terbaik yang kemudian di grillnya dengan bumbu yang asin gurih dengan ada herbsnya, herbsnya inilah yang membuat rasa steak yang satu ini menjadi lebih mantap, lebih gurih dari steak lainnya, selain itu sausnya ini kita nyobain saus barbeque yang ternyata rasanya juga enak banget, asam asin dan manis berpadu dengan gurihnya saus ini, terasa begitu mantap deh steaknya ! juara banget deh sirloin steak disini apalagi di sajikan dengan french fries renyah dan bayam yang di tumis dengan bawang putih yang gurih banget, disajikan juga dengan tomat cherry supaya terlihat lebih segar penampilannya !

>>Prime Rib Eye Steak
Price : IDR 75.000

Semua daging lokal yang ada di Steak Holycow potongannya adalah prime, jadi gak ada yang potongan samping dan sebagainya, semuanya yang terbaik deh pokoknya, nah prime rib eye ini juga berukuran 200 grams, oh iyaa persamaan antara sirloin dan juga rib eye adalah ada pada lemaknya, steak ini sama-sama berlemak, cuma letak lemaknya yang beda, kalau sirloin cuma dipinggir, rib eye ini merata di tengah-tengah, bagi yang suka steak dengan lemak mending rib eye, apalagi rib eye punya tekstur daging yang lebih tender, rasanya memang enak banget apalagi dipanggang dengan bumbu spesial holycow, yang kaya akan pepper dan juga herbs yang dahsyat, oh iyaa rib eyenya ini medium well ya hehe, disajikan dengan mushroom sauce yang juga gak kalah oke, mantap banget deh rasanya selain itu di lengkapi dengan french fries dan juga saute spinach yang unik banget :9

>>Mashed Potato
Price : IDR 15.000

Berhubung pacar gw ini suka banget sama mashed potato di holycow jadi dia memesan lagi mashed potato tambahan, karena di TKP Sabang ini steaknya memang harus disajikan dengan french fries yaa, sehingga kalau mau mashed potato ya pesan terpisah, tapi tak apalah kalau memang doyan yaa, nah jadi mashed potato disini disajikan layaknya ice cream, mashed potatonya di sajikan 2 scoop gitu yang lumayan besar dan tentunya masih panas sehingga terasa banget nih gurihnya mashed potato yang ada di sini , apalagi saat dimakan memang lembut banget dan aromanya kuat rasanya ada cream susunya dan juga keju, guirh banget deh ini, sangat enak , penambah carbo juga jadi lebih kenyang deh hehe..

>>Blackcurrant Tea
Price : IDR 15.000

Buat minumannya ini Holycow Steak memang menyedikan minuman yang gak aneh-aneh yaa hehe, minumannya hanya mineral water, soft drink dan teh, untuk tehnya ini ada 3 pilihan loh yaa, ada green tea, lemon tea dan juga blackcurrant tea, yang selalu gw pilih adalah blackcurrant tea, minuman yang satu ini memang minuamn yang paling menyegarkan menurut gw, karena teh yang satu ini punya rasa manis yang unik dan juga aroma buah blackcurrant yang manisnya asik banget, warnanya pun cukup menggoda dan yang paling penting minuman yang satu ini refillable, jadi memang kalau abis bisa di tambah lagi tapi ya perorang yaa hehe, jadi setiap orang disini harus pesen minuman hehe, pokoknya minuman yang satu ini paling cocok buat menikmati steak disini !!! Karnivores !!!

Colonial Styled Restaurant, Kedai Aer Mantjoer

Banner-banner bertuliskan ejaan jadul di sepanjang jalan menuju air mancur, itulah yang menggelitik rasa penasaran saya kepada tempat ini. Tempatnya kayak apa ya? Menunya apa ya? Daripada saya ga bisa tidur karena penasaran (lebay tongue ) akhirnya sepulang kerja saya coba mampir dulu ke restaurant ini.

Restaurant ini ada di daerah air mancur, Jalan R.E. Martadinata No.8, di sebelah ILP.
Jauh dari kesan "kedai" yang sederhana, dari bagian depan sudah kelihatan kalau tempat ini adalah rumah jaman kolonial yang di renovasi bagian belakangnya supaya lebih terbuka. Keren..

Setelah parkir kendaraan, saya langsung masuk lewat pintu depan. Wow, saya langsung merasa nyaman begitu melihat ruangan dengan suasana khas rumah belanda yang luas. Jendela-jendela disini kayaknya ga direnovasi, ukurannya besar dengan gorden yang tinggi. Dindingnya dihias dengan lukisan-lukisan. Meja-mejanya disusun rapi dengan 4 kursi disekelilingnya. Karena saya datang waktu malam, efek pencahayaannya pas sekali untuk rileks melepas penat.

Kebetulan waktu itu ada pula pengunjung yang datang dalam satu grup besar dan kelihatannya mau meeeting. Respon waitress disana termasuk cepat. Mereka langsung menyatukan beberapa meja supaya grup itu bisa duduk berhadapan. Ternyata tempat ini oke juga kalau masih mau melanjutkan kerja after hour lol

Kalau kita jalan terus, kebelakang ruangan ini, ada semacam teras yang lebih terbuka dan ada play landnya juga. Seru kayaknya kalau bawa anak kecil, jadi ga terlalu repot lol
Turun lantai sedikit, ada semacam teras terpisah yang cukup besar dan nyaman. Teras ini tinggi dan dikelilingi pohon palem yang hijau. Kalau siang kayaknya nyaman dan teduh nih duduk-duduk di dalamnya, asyik..

Dari teras ini, kita bisa lihat langsung jendela-jendela dapur tempat pesanan dibuat. Uniknya, masing-masing jendela hanya akan menyediakan pesanan sesuai dengan tulisan yang ada di sampingnya. Jadi tempat mengambil pesanan steak dan juice ada di jendela yang terpisah.

Eh, ternyata masih ada beberapa meja dan kursi lho sampai ke belakang ruangan dengan tanaman hijau yang asri disampingnya. Nah, di bagian ujung ruangan ini ada mushola dan toilet, lumayan lengkap fasilitasnya.

Pelayanannya oke, waitressnya cepat respon, dan ramah seperti sudah pernah belajar bidang servis restaurant. Nice. Pembuatan pesanannya pun ga terlalu lama, tergantung ramai atau sepinya restaurant. O iya, waitress disini pakai seragam putih dan celana hitam, dengan aksesoris apron di pinggang. Overall, mereka good looking, nyahahaha...

Sesuai tag line, menu khas di "kedai" ini adalah steak kayu bakar. Tapi mereka juga menyediakan menu lain lho, seperti bubur, dimsum, sampai cemilan seperti pisang goreng.

   Meat loaf & Sirloin steak

Saya pun langsung memesan sirloin steak dan meat loaf karena penasaran dengan metode pemasakan yang pakai kayu bakar. Tidak lama menunggu, pesanan pun datang. Overall rasa steak dan meat loaf-nya enak, tapi saya tidak terlalu menemukan perbedaan rasa yang jauh antara steak kayu bakar dengan steak yang di grill seperti biasa. Ada aroma yang sedikit berbeda dengan steak biasa, mungkin ini pengaruh dari kayu bakarnya. Atau mungkin juga aroma kayu bakarnya tertutup oleh spicy brown sauce yang saya pakai.
Perbedaan kedua pesanan ini ada di "teman makan"nya. Meat loaf-nya ditemani mashed potato dan boiled vegetables. Sedangkan sirloin steak-nya ditemani oleh boiled baby potatoes dan boiled vegetables.
mashed potato-nya lembut, sedikit gurih, porsinya pas dan langsung lumer di mulut. Boiled baby potatoes-nya punya tingkat kematangan yang pas, lebih bertekstur waktu dikunyah.
Minuman yang saya pesan adalah teh hangat dan jus melon. Gelas untuk jus melonnya berbentuk segitiga tumpul di bagian bibirnya. Unik.

Tampilan salmon steak-nya menarik, dengan garis-garis hasil gril yang kelihatan jelas di permukaan. Steaknya sendiri punya tingkat kematangan yang pas, walaupun garis-garis grillnya kelihatan hitam, tapi itu bukan gosong. Aroma kayu bakar-nya menurut saya lebih tercium di menu ini, walaupun tipis. Mungkin karena tidak ada saus yang menutupi. Rasanya? Juara.
Saya mungkin kelaparan, tapi rasa salmon steak-nya benar-benar enak. Gurihnya salmon steak ini, dilengkapi dengan tartar sauce, mashed potato, dan boiled vegetables. Jadi jangan khawatir masih lapar setelah menyantap hidangan yang satu ini.

   Chicken Cordon Bleu

Porsimya ga terlalu banyak, ayamnya juga ga terlalu besar. Kejunya kelihatan meleleh waktu dipotong dan penempatan daging asapnya cukup rapi di dalam ayam. Bagian luar ayamnya renyah , seimbang dengan daging ayamnya yang lembut waktu dikunyah. Ditambah lagi gurihnya keju yang lumer dan aroma daging asap yang menyebar di seluruh mulut. Nice. Seperti menu lainnya, chicken cordon bleu ini juga ditemani oleh mashed potato dan boiled vegetables.

Suasana yang nyaman dan makanan yang enak, membuat Kedai Aer Mantjoer ini salah satu tempat rekomendasi untuk kumpul-kumpul.

When Pizza Meets The Fun!

Yesterday, me and my friends went to Plaza Indonesia to have our dinner, but sometimes, the very common issue is that it's sometimes very hard to decide where we're having the dinner at (and I believe it happened to everyone of you LOL), so we decided to go eating at Pizza E Birra which located at the Plaza Indonesia Extention, 5th fl. It's a little late to put a review of this restaurant since it's been there for yeaaaars, but you know what they say, it's better late than never tongue.

I've been here a couple of times and I must say they serve very great food, especially the pizzas! They have a lot of variants of pizzas, starting from meats, spicy ones to the sweet ones, yeas with oreo, chocolate and a lot more, you need to visit this restaurant to try them all just can't get enough. You can also visit the other outlets of this restaurant at Setiabudi Building and Central Park.

FYI, Pizza E Birra is also another great invention from the culinary master, Ismaya Group. Ismaya oh Ismaya, keep on satisfying our neverending lust for food with your top creations.

First things first, I received messages from some people here in OpenRice and they happen to ask me here and also via Facebook and Twitter. On this chance and (since Open Rice doesn't have any space for status updates and if you happen to read this review) I just wanna say thank you for visiting my review page and I hope we can all be friends and share the joy and love for food and photography.

I received tons of questions on how I created tones for my photos and how do I take photos? Okay, the second question is probably the hardest, I don't know but I just love to play around with my camera, snap this snap that, I am not a thinker when it comes to shooting, I always shoot what I see is beautiful, I sometimes don't stick to the metering, I can have over-exposured or under-exposured pictures but I think they're beautiful so I just love it, it always starts with the inside, when you're happy with your results and fortunately you have people who share the same love for what you've done, that's great, but if not, stick with your own style and tone smile.

I am currently more into vintage and desaturated tones, there will always be deliberation or pros and cons on what you're doing, people will always have things to say: "Why would he desaturate photos when the original color is beautiful? What was he thinking?", "I love your tones!". These two are probably what you're going to hear or read, but it's always going to be back to your own state and idea, if you love what you're doing, do it, never be afraid of being creative.

I'm saying this NOT because I feel like I'm the best, better or anything. It's just I want to answer some of the questions given and I don't even consider myself as a great food photographer (that just sounds cocky to me), I'm just a normal person who love to take pictures, let's just put it that way.

Okay, enough with the monologue and let's focused on the main star of this review: THE FOOD!

Let's surf what we got yesterday night! They're awesome.

Meat Me in Heaven
IDR 85.000 (before tax)


This is the large round of pizza, the large round is divided to 8 slices. From the title itself, it's obvious that the pizza's going to be filled with tons of delicious meats (beef) as topping and it's indeed delicious! I have always loved the nice smell of baked meats, mixed with the smell of "fresh from the oven" baked pizza dough and smell of melted Mozarella cheese! Yumster!

Beef Lasagna
IDR 65.000 (before tax)

Hands down! One of the best lasagna I've ever tasted, the portion is quite large with delicious cream and minced beef (ala bolognaise). I just love the fact that even though the cream is cheesy, but the taste is not overrated and dominating the whole dish, works well with the other elements of the dish. Obviously must try!

Chicken and Cream with additional spaghetti.
IDR. 55.000 (chicken and cream) + 15.000 (spaghetti) -- (before tax)

This dish is originally on the menu to be only the chicken and cream, but I guess a little touch of pasta (spaghetti) will be nice, so there it is, my beautiful dish which I happen to love so much! This is also must try, I love how the chicken is cooked, it's very well seasons, and the cream is just beyond delicious. I'm only hoping that maybe if there's a glimpse of spinach inside, it's going to be even wonderful, but it's so close to becoming chicken and spinach spaghetti. Try this friends, it's a nice one smile.

Strawberry Sparkling Soda

Fresh, it's not very sweet, not very sour. Perfect for the night smile.

I love their idea of applying messy woods for the walls decoration, it's somehow just makes everything looks alright and beautiful.

Bakerzin is a member from Boga Food Service, as grow as a brand, they have become more passionate about what they do and more focused on meeting and surpassing the demands of their customers.

Indirectly, our minds focused to breads and cakes, when we hear about Bakerzin. I could say yes! They sell various breads and cakes. Do you want to know it more? Okay, let me explain to you. Ready to go inside? Here we go! smile

When you came here, you'll look a giant typo of Bakerzin. Beside that, you can see the interior directly, because there's no wall - only glass as their boundary. Oh ya, this place is separated in two areas as usual, smoking area and non-smoking area.

We're inside now! You'll feel the calm and relax atmosphere here. Maybe it caused by the designed and the environment around here, homey - with beige and light brown as their decoration and stuffs. When you sit inside, you'll see a little kitchen beside you, a place for making our drinks.

   Macarons

The little sweet things, called macarons. I just bought 3 pieces, because my favorite flavor is out of order. So, I just choose Red Velvet (red color), Hazelnut (brown color), Coffee + White Coffee (black and white color).

   Brioches with Smoked Salmon

Whoa! This is my favorite dish, Brioches with Smoked Salmon. Such a big portion, isn't it? Hehe. This dish was consist of 2 pieces brioches, some slices of salmon, scrambled egg and a little salad. Did you know about brioches? Let me tell you, brioches is highly enriched bread (from French), used high egg and butter content to give a rich and tender crumb. Hmm, you can also put blackpepper there!

   Warm Chocolate Cake

Have you ever hear about lava cake? Hmm, this dessert was like lava when you cut it. Warm Chocolate Cake is a baked chocolate lava cake, topped with vanilla ice cream and with orange confit, strawberry as it garnish. Perfect match, you can taste the sour and sweet from orange, strawberry and vanilla ice cream.

   Lavender Violet Lime

A little different, I've chose this drinks, Lavender Violet Lime - they said, this drink is their favorite. What do you think about lavender? Anti-mosquito, isn't it? Haha. When I try to drink, I smell it first - nice, but the taste really like a lavender, fresh and sweet, not like what I've imagine previously. You'll got a 'newest' taste in it! smile

   Blue Passion Macaron

The newest drinks menu, drinks with macarons. I just choose Blue Passion Macaron, this is their favorite flavor. The color looks bright and don't worry - it wasn't an alcohol drinks. It used syrup, soda and iced! Really fresh. For another macarons drinks, such as Hazelnut Macaron, Chocolate macaron and etc. And for the macarons used here is not for sale, so this is different to the usual. So, don't forget to try this!

Not always pancakes, nowadays it's versatile :)

Once I heard this: "high school friends may last forever". In my case, I'm not in forever, but almost four years after and we are still a group of people who clicked just at the moment we meet face to face. Some of my friends went abroad to extend their study and when they got the chance to return (and they always do...), we always create a small reunion.

The reunion took place at Grand Indonesia, all debating about the restaurant until we end up choosing My Pancake, Grand Indonesia. I've been here several times but this is probably the first time that I ever put a review on this restaurant. I love the ambience of this restaurant, it's gloomy, it has a proper dim light and if you're wondering, it is right at the venue where the windmill is.

What were we ordering? hhmmm... lots of yummy stuffs.

My Pancake Chocolate Pancake
The good old chocolate pancake with one scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and lots of chocolate sauce, garnished with one astor. Just by looking at the picture you're probably suffering from hunger *LOL, especially for the richness of chocolate, I give my credit to the chocolate pancake because you can feel how chocolaty the pancake itself, so it doesn't only look pretty on the outside.

Unagi Donburi
A little Japanese touch to this restaurant which is not a bad idea because most restaurants are now getting more and more versatile, and they always manage to keep everything their own sigature style, you can find pancakes everywhere but you'll know where (depends on your own prefence) makes the best one. They have nice Unagi Donburi, I love how the used nori for most of their main dishes, it adds different flavor and scent smile

Kaya Chocolate Pancake
Never thought that chocolate and kaya actually blend very well in the mouth, it doesn't end up tasting greasy and sticky but the kaya they're using here is a good one lol

Salmon Mushroom Pasta
This one actually caught my friend's attention, just because the menu picture actually gives a different first curiosity in mind that leads to the dare of trying, it's not your regular common block cut salmon, but it's almost honey glazed and cookes with their own special sauce in which sort of giving two different flavors to this dish but very tolerable and indeed, nice smile.

and FYI you can customize you own choice of pasta: Spaghetti or Fettucine, your choice lol.

Seafood Marinara Fettucine
For seafood lovers, you can definitely try this, fresh seafood, doesn't stink and parfait for lunch smile.

This is my most favorite menu overall, I love how the cream is not very thick and it's almost cream soup like but it eventually sort of becoming the savior of this food, the chicken is cooked well, it's definitely well seasoned and I kinda wish that they actually would put more spinach inside (since I am personally spinach lover, not in a Popeye kind of way)

I think the food in this restaurant is proper for everyone who wants a good time of eating with a genereous portion. I mean, literally, even some of my friends can't finish the food because the portion is very big, thank you for being very generous My Pancake team. I still love the idea of making the cream soup more liquid like instead of super creamy ones. The spinach and the chicken are fresh. I recommend this one as the recommended menu.

We all spend around IDR 440.000 nett for six dishes and the price is pretty reasonable.

Rock n Roll Party For Carnivores!

One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well. I do really agree with this fabulous quote by Virginia Woolf. So, i never restrain myself from my voracious eating habit. That day, the rain was heavily dripped, the sky was dark and obscure, and occasionally sounds tight the rumble of thunder. The weather was unceasingly gloomy and made me felt cranky. I do really love rainy season yet (sometimes) hate it to the bones, it sort of love hate relationship. And yeah, the traffic was really testing my patience as a patient human being. Lets put aside the weather, and take a look of what Roc n Ron offered to carnivores.

It is one fairly new restaurant specialized in serving baby back ribs. Inside was quite spacey, nicely decorated, surely it's not that fancy or arabesque but it's chic and gave a homey feeling in an instant.

Divided into two areas : indoor and outdoor. Their outdoor look quite simple with few wooden sears and somewhat red hood look a like ceiling. While inside is cozy, cool, and looking nice with dim lighting and has a bar on the right side from the entrance. When you reach the entrance you can see their cute cashier with roc n ron logo embedded on it.

Without further ado, To quench my thirst and i was literally thirsty, i had Happy Ron (IDR 22.000) a weird and not so my liking blend of lime juice, soda, and vanilla ice cream. Tasted freakishly half-sour, vaguely sweet. Maybe "awkward" would fitly replace the happy word before ron. I even asked the others to tried it and all of them said it was weird and not enjoyable.

At least this Lychee Delight (IDR 22.000) wasn't that bad and i could at least enjoyed every straws of it. It was a blend of orange juice, lemon juice with a hint of lychee syrup.

 

Classic Creamy Potato (IDR 45.000)
A bowl of pleasure, the soup was beautifully blended with the other components. Delicious and savory, one spoon and i didn't get enough of it. A little bit too salty but it was suit to my palette. Getting bored of mushroom soup? this could be an alternative.

Spicy Chicken Wings (IDR 50.000)
Your everyday chicken wings coated in somewhat not so spicy, sweet and sticky sauce. To be brief, it was quite good and enjoyable but not special considering for quite steep price.

Macho Nachos (IDR 55.000)
hmm, memorable name. A crunchy nachos sauteed with thick mayo and sweet flavored sauce. More, please? Their bold taste and flavoring surely gave one macho impression. Great appetizer.

 

Cheese Fingers (IDR 45.000)
I made a happy face during my bite. It was very good, a deep fried crunchy long shaped dough made from panir flour with not-so-melted mozzarella cheese inside. Totally enjoyable. I prefer to eat it without the sauce. Really good, i could tasted the cheese richly poured inside.

 

Union Loaf (IDR 45.000)
An escalate structure of onion rings with sweet-sour sauce which reminds me of puyunghai sauce. Needed to be crunchier, the texture was bit limp.

Potato Skin with Ham (IDR 35.000)
Tasty, savory, and the ham appeared to be quite good but sour cream wasn't suitable for this plate.

While their specialties are ribs and steaks. These streaks of guilty pleasure couldn't be missed. Had enough of those tempting yet sinfully fattening not to mention delicious appetizers.

 

Import Port Baby Back (4bones IDR 100.000) they also offered 8bones for IDR 180.000
A mouthwatering baby back grilled with BBQ sauce. The ribs were tender and finger-licking delicious. The seasonings were all good and yum but they got to notice about the marinating process. It needed to be marinated more and thoroughly to make this baby back more delicious.

 

Tenderloin Steak (IDR 150.000)
A medium cooked of a lump of imported meat with black pepper sauce and mashed potato. I have to mention this, I really love their mashed potato. Yes, it might be a little bit too salty but it was suit to my liking. The steak was juicy, tender and a little bit greasy. Not a top-notch one but still, it was definitely worth the try.

Rib-Eye (IDR 135.000)
I prefer this rather than my tenderloin. Served with baked beans which i don't know why the baked beans was watery. Carnivores, you should munch this one. It was juicy and slightly better than tenderloin although their tenderloin was already good. Yummeh

 

And their Salmon was really good, i prefer if it wasn't too well done and inside was still pink. Nonetheless, it was one satiating and satisfying salmon cooked to perfection, served with wedges. Satisfying salmon dish.

Again, it was one guilty night after gobbled those sinfully fatty yet delicious meals. Such a warm treats in rainy night. Too bad, looks like they didn't provided desserts. I didn't see any of them in the menu. I can say they are quite serious with the selections mainly for heavy carnivores. The price is quite expensive but with the taste they offered and the quality from ingredients. It's worth the sweat.

Resto sunda di jalan cipete ini merupakan cabang dari Bandung. Resto nya sudah cukup lama buka di Jakarta. Resto yang menempati bangunan 1 lantai ini menempati tempat yang cukup luas ruangannya di bagi menjadi indoor(non smoking) dan outdoor untuk non smoking. Juga tersedia bbrp bagian untuk lesehan bagi yang suka. Suasana resto nya cukup nyaman hanya saja AC nya kadang terasa kurang dingin bagi saya, apalagi kepanasan akibat menyantap sambalnya yang pedas itu.. Restonya sendiri menyediakan menu sistem prasmanan dengan additional all you can eat sambal dan lalap. Menu yang di tawarkan pun lengkap dari ayam, sapi, ikan, tumisan sayur sampai aneka jajanan tradisional.
Begitu masuk kita akan di berikan nomor meja, baru kemudian memilih makanan yang sudah di jejer di meja panjang. Setelah order pilihan kita akan di panaskan di dapur baik yang di panggang ataupun yang di goreng. Setiap meja akan di berikan Free 2 mangkuk sayur asam untuk melengkapi makan malam. Untuk pilihan nasi pun beragam ada nasi putih, nasi merah, nasi liwet, bahkan nasi tumpeng. Mengikuti kebiasaan resto sunda, Teh hangat akan di sediakan untuk setiap tamu. Optional bisa order minuman lain seperti aneka juice, es tradisional ,es kelapa, dll. Menu nya lengkap dan hampir semua nya Enak.

Pilihan saya malam ini adalah :
1. Ayam Bakar Madu
Ayam Bakar empuk ini memiliki rasa yang sedikit manis dan juga bumbu rempah-rempahnya yang nikmat.
2. Usus Ayam Goreng
Usus Ayam ini di goreng renyah, paling nikmat di cocol bersamaan dengan sambal nya.
3. Babat Goreng
Babat goreng nya empuk dan terasa manis namun tidak terlalu over
4. Peyek Udang
Peyek udang disini ukuran nya panjang dengan tekstur tipis dan extra crunchy. Enak yummy
5. Empal
Seperti disini memang ahli dalam mengolah daging bukan hanya ayam, empalnya pun empuk dan bumbu nya meresap. Untuk rasa juga enak
6. Iga
Nah INi yang top iga sapi ini di panggang dengan bumbu kecap dan hebatnya dagingnya benar-benar empuk. Hanya saja biasanya iga ini disajikan di atas hot plate panas, entah kenapa kali ini hanya di atas piring biasa.
7. Bakwan Jagung
Bakwan jagung nya berukuran cukup besar dan tebal. Enak

Untuk sambal nya sendiri disediakan tiga pilihan : sambal terasi, sambal beledug yang extra pedas, serta sambal hijau. Buat yang suka tidak terlalu pedas sambal terasi adalah recomend nya sedangkan mau yang extra hot pilih lah sambal beledug. Total Menu di atas + 4 porsi nasi 200.000 sudah termasuk tax 10%

This ramen house is very famous at Pantai Indah Kapuk, they have another outlet in Pesanggrahan, Puri Indah (west Jakarta) but I guess this outlet got much more attention and spotlight, thanks to the exterior and interior eyecatching design, to find this place is pretty easy, drive by at Rukan Crown Golf Blok D and go straight to the end of the food boulevard and you'll see a ramen house with giant ramen lightbox and lampions shining bright, that's Ikkudo Ichi.

I ordered their famous menus: Buta Kara Ramen, Tori Kara Ramen, Tori Ebi Gyoza and Japanese Beef Ebi Fried Rice and absolutely my ultimate choice of drink everytime I went to a Japanese restaurant: cold ocha!

I order my ramen with the curly noodle, I guess it's a little bit boring to have the normal noodle, don't get stuck on people's opinion, well sometimes you just gotta take a chance (okay this conversation is getting heavy and serious for a bowl of ramen).

Tori Ebi Gyoza

Deep fried gyoza with chicken and prawn meat. This is delicious and well seasoned, I think it's a perfect appetizer.

Buta Kara Ramen with straight noodles

Buta in japanese is PORK, so remember that this meat might against some people's belief, so it's not halal for them. I'm just saying and this doesn't mean anything, but for my personal taste, ramens are best with "Buta". Nomnom.

What's special and different from their original signature Buta Ramen is the KARA SAUCE, it's their special red sauce to spice the ramen up, it's not very spicy and definitely for people who love spicy flavor, they still need to mix generous amount of chili oil. In my opinion, most ramens are famous for their thick soup (and they all have their own signature soup) so I guess to have a little spicy touch to your soup is a great idea so that you won't end up feeling sick of the whole thing for being too thick and almost too creamy...and yet again it all goes back to your own personal preference smile.

I'm happy that they actually give their costumers option on some things:
- Soup: You can choose to have pork or chicken extract (but still don't want to assume it's 100% halal)
- Noodle firmness (soft - normal - hard)
- Noodle flavor strength (weak - normal - strong)
- Noodle richness (light - normal - heavy)
- Noodle choices of straight (normal) or curly

Tori in japanese is CHICKEN, I'm not saying that this is completely halal for some people because I am not sure about the ingredients they're using for soup and I didn't want to assume anything.

Basically the meat they're using is different, this one is chicken (tori) and the soup also tastes different, still, my personal favorite is the Buta Kara Ramen, but this one is totally not bad too smile.

Japanese Beef Ebi Fried Rice

Hands down this is one of the best dish here, I once tried their Salmon but I prefer the beef after a current tasting, you can smell the signature Japanese fried rice, and in some case, I am not a big fan of traditional Japanese fried rice where they use sticky rice and thank you Ikkudo for not using that kind of rice because I would turn it down. If you happen to have issues like mine, do ask before you order, that's essential.

Maybe the only problem is the portion, I wish it was bigger, it was so delicious, yummy and smells really good.

I went here by two of my friends and together we spent around IDR 282.800 after tax and three glasses of Cold Ocha for IDR 9.000 each.

Great Japanese Deal at Ciputra Mall

Ciputra Mall or formerly known as Citraland is a mall which has stood for many years. It's like a spot for me who is a college student at nearby university to fill my belly after long, boring, and confiscating energy classes. Spotted a new Japanese restaurant opened at the 4th floor of Ciputra Mall named Torico. Is it good? I don't know about the good part since my very first try wasn't memorable, but it is quite affordable. Hopefully the 2nd visits turned out to be good.

Russel colored touch is dominating the whole place along with the cashier desk, Russel is a color which often gives homey ambiance yet friendly to the sight. Unfortunately, the seats are hard and made me feel stiff by too long sitting there. Anyway, they use the self-service method which they provided some menu papers in every tables then you just have to tick your order. It reminds me of everywhere to be found Solaria.

This Japanese restaurant specializing on serving Japanese cuisines such as : ramen, katsu, gyoza and many more. Their workers were simply friendly and attentive. This is not so important but i love their cute green trash bins. And you can see their open kitchen thou.

it was good, sweet, and savory. It is a cow tongue, it wasn't chewy. The texture more like the beef itself. I enjoyed it quite much. As a starter, this surely boosted up my eating mood smile

 

Tokyo Fried Tofu
small chunks of crunchy tofu that covered with bread flour before fried. I wish it was a bit more salty. Quite enjoyable.

 

Followed up by Gyu Niku Roll
Basically, it was a mushroom wrapped with beef topped with mayo. Kinda amazed the appetizers, none of them was disappointing. This one was good. Too bad,one portion merely consist of 3pieces rolls. Why? Because i really enjoyed this! It was kinda addictive when mushroom met beef then being complete with mayo. Yummy

 

Fried Gyoza or maybe fried dumplings?
because it tasted the same. The filling was good and quite savory. This was also good! If it is one all you can restaurant like what i had at Shibuya, i will order this again and again.

 

This Salmon Mayo Yaki was good. The salmon was well-cooked. The sauce was good and beautifully blended with the salmon. Personally,i still prefer the pink-colored meat salmon. This one tasted like tuna put in a good way.

 

Gyu Tongue Ramen
so the broth has the mixture from kimchi. From all the served ramens. This one was quite good compared to the other two i had before at Torico. Lucky me, i chose right choice of ramen. Just standard but it was way better than what i had before here.

 

This simple Fried Rice is my winning dish for the night! It was so fragrant and appetizing. The good smell from the sprinkles of fried onions and the crunch given by the onions were so good. The fried rice itself was well-seasoned, savory, simply put : it was great. For the next visit i should stick with this delicioso Torico's fried rice. yum.. They used high quality of rice but not sticky like any other usual Japanese restaurants.

I must say i am not impressed by their ramens so far. But,their appetizers were beyond expectation. Their starter were so good! They don't serves much variants of drinks. I had their ocha and lemon tea. Overall, it's a nice place for nearby West-Jakartans or regular visitors of Ciputra Mall to enjoyed affordable Japanese meals.
The price of their main courses are around 20k. and they have 15% discount for college students nearby. Just simply show your student card. Recommended? Way to go

Hong Tang Resto Favorit saya untuk dessert. Resto yang menempati 1 ruko ini terdiri dari 2 bagian yaitu indoor maupun outdoor nya. Namun saya lebih prefer indoor karena ber AC. Resto yang dekorasinya banyak menggunakan lampion ini menyajikan taiwan dessert beserta bubble drink. Resto ini aslinya bernama Sweet Poetry di Muara Karang namun mereka mengganti namanya Menjadi Hong Tang yang berarti gula merah yang mereka gunakan dalam dessert mereka. Bahan2 yang mereka gunakan juga banyakan berupa aneka kacang2an , puding, dan cincau. Restonya cukup nyaman , cmn mungkin kalau makan nya di siang hari agak2 panas ya soalnya daerah dekat laut.

Berikut dessert yang saya order beserta dengan review nya :
1. QBall Dessert dengan green bean, lotus seed, dan pearl

QBall sebenarnya adalah biji salak namun versi taiwan rasa hampir sama. Qball di Hong Tang merupakan favorit saya karena kekenyalan nya pas dan enak. Nah di desser satu ini qball di campur dengan kacang ijo, lotus seed dan juga pearl. Tingkat keempukan pearlnya pun pas. Semua bahan ini di letakkan di atas es serut halus yang di siram dengan gula merah.Hmm yummy
2. Grass Jelly Dessert dengan ice cream, qball, dan pearl.

Grass jelly atau cincau nya halus, wangi dan tingkat kemanisan nya pas. Dessert yang ini di lengkapi dengan topping 1 scoop ice cream, yang saya pilih adalah green tea. Jangan tanya lagi ini adalah best of the best nya..
3. Mixed Pudding Dessert dengan Qball

   Mixed Pudding Desserts

Dessert yang satu ini menggunakan base yang sama yaitu serutan es dengan gula jawa tapi toppingnya adalah 3 jenis pudding super lembut dengan rasa mangga, kopi dan coklat. Tetap di temani dengan qball. Pudingnya lembut sengaja di buat tawar karena rasa manis datang dari base nya.
4. Grass Jelly dessert dengan mochi, pudding, pearl.

   Grass Jelly Desserts

Grass Jelly/Cincau based, Mochi sebagai pelengkap pun bukan sembarangan mochi, mochinya empuk, kenyal dan harum enak d pokoknya. Sama seperti pudding lainnya, pudding nya pun soft sekali .
5. Qball dessert dengan mochi , puding dan pearl

Sama dengan menu nomor 4 hanya saja ini menggunakan qball sebagai base nya.

Kesemua dessert tingkat kemanisan nya pas. Nah gimana tertarik ? Di jamin ketagihan baik qball maupun grass jelly sama2 enak. Selain paket-paket yang udah tersedia kita juga bisa add topping di semua paket nya , additional topping bisa berupa es krim, kacang2 an , qball, puding dan lain2. Karena saya pakai voucher untuk resto ini total nya hanya 75000 untuk ke semua dessert di atas + 3000 untuk penggunaan es krim green tea. Harga tanpa voucher range nya sekitaran 25-35 per paket additional topping 5000-10000/topping

Service nya pun bagus pelayanan cepat dan mereka siap untuk menjelaskan paket2 yang di sediakan oleh Hong Tang. A very nice dessert dan The Best Taiwanese dessert so far buat saya.

Marugame Udon: thread or just another vibe?

I got invited for a food tasting session by this new Udon house in town, yes, as you can obvioulsy see above, the name of the restaurant is "Marugame Udon and Tempura", this restaurant is located on the third floor of Mall Taman Anggrek and the outlet is so eye catching, literally when you step off the escalator and turn around, you'll see a huge Marugame Udon sign and that means you're just steps away from the restaurant. I kinda love the Japanese touch they're giving to this restaurant, and by the way, as what Mr. Edwin (Digital PR Executive) told me, this restaurant management and ethic is also japanese oriented, why is that? I'm going to tell you more, but first let's surf the venue and how they process the beautiful udon, and you'll be amazed.

To order in this restaurant is basically to queue and the preparation and serving is super fresh, the udon is made directly after order and since the kitchen concept is open kitchen, you'll see for yourself how your udon is made and to keep everything super hygiene, all the staff won't be allowed to get into the kitchen by the supervisor if they don't have the complete uniform on: the hat, the glove, etc.

Just by looking at the process and how the udon looks like when it's cooked, I even start wondering about the taste and texture of the udon, I know upront that I won't be disappointed (LOL).

Another story about the udon, so here, everything is limited, as what I mean here, the udon and the tempura, if no costumer passes and purchases the udon and tempura for equals or more than 20 minutes (well mostly it's made directly but for some occasions, it can be reheated without leaving the freshness of it), the udon and tempura will be all thrown out to the garbage bin, it actually reminds me of Burger King that also does the same thing to their fries, for around 10-15 minutes, if no one purchases, the fries are CUT-OFF from servings.

The japanese concept that I mentioned earlier is connected to the chef, I asked Mr. Edwin if the chef is originally from Japanese and he said "Yes!", there are two chefs that are working here but currently they are going back to Japan for a few weeks, too bad because I wanted to have a picture with them.

What you need to know about this restaurant is that the concept of having the meal here is SELF-SERVICE! You waited for your food and you also need to take it back to the cleaning section yourself. So do pay attention, and be responsible we can't always be too bossy.

Beef Croquette!

So the tempuras have two sections: the red and the black tempura as they refer to, the black tempuras are ones created with meat and the red tempuras are ones mixed or originally made by vegetables. We got the honor of having one main course (udon and rice) + red tempura + black tempura and one complimentary drink. Perks of being invited for a food tasting, don't lie to me about not enjoying the free complimentaries given to you. YAAAY!

Can I just topped this meal and tell you upfront that this might be THE BEST udon I've ever had in my life. PERIOD! I'm not joking and I'm not saying this just because I got sponsored, it's just true and I brought my sister for the food tasting and that's the first thing that got out of her mouth, she also loved it!

I've never been a fan of udon compared to ramen, I am not a big fan of their thick physique and sometimes not very pleasing clear soup but for the record, this is different, I love the udon, it's so fluffy and yummy and jelly but in a very good way, I can't find a single proper word to summarize the udon, you need to try it for yourself since I'm going to be lost for words to describe this. The soup is so yummy, it has great flavor, and the sukiyaki beef is working very well with the soup, I love how they manage to give the crumbles as the garnish of this dish and it works so well together.

A great thing about culinary in Indonesia and what people should really take care of is to NEVER NOT MIXING INDONESIAN TASTE TO THE FOOD. No matter how much (little or a lot), it's essential that you take care of your market, it doesn't mean that when you open a french restaurant, Indonesian people will directly like it, well only if you realize that you will make tons of benefits just with a little consideration. As a costumer, I feel so happy whenever they open up and told me (just like Mr. Edwin did) that this restaurant won't ever forget that Indonesian people are the costumers here, they are the king and that's why we added little details like the chilis, the tempuras, the taste without leaving the japanese background.

This dish is being companied by one gorgeous Ebi Tempura (IDR 14.000) and one tempura egg (IDR 8.000). I honestly think that the egg tempura is the most genius.

Take a look at how beautiful the egg tempura is, I love it that they don't coolk the egg tempura super well and leave the middle part to be half-boiled, it's just awesome, and FYI the eggs don't stink, Mr. Edwin told us that the eggs used here are the Omega-9 which happens to be one of the best and the yummiest tasting. Well I agree on that.

Second meal that I'm having is this...
Tendon Tori Rice

Japanese rice with vegetable tempura topping, egg tempura and tori tempura.

So this meal basically contains all major chicken related tempuras and I thought I didn't pick the wrong meal for this one! I wanted to the try the best and this is one of the best menu for you who happened to not be a big fan of udon and chicken lovers. Another genius creation of this is the vegetable tempura. I've had some vegetable tempuras before and most of them tastes like oily fried vegetables but nothing ever beats this period, even the tempura flour and vetegable sticks! Dear God, finally! and trust me it won't leave you the feeling of eating a cheap bakwan, even though sometimes bakwan tastes so good, but let's just get...lifted for the moment.

Hi Openricers !!

Lagi-lagi seafood, ya gw memang salah satu penggemar seafood, karena hidangan laut ini kaya protein dan lebih rendah lemak dibandingkan dengan daging, cuma ya memang punya kolesterol yang lumayan tinggi sih terutama udang-udangan, nah seperti yang gw bilang dari sekian banyak seafood yang pernah gw makan hanya sedikit yang menurut gw sangat enak dan membuat gw kembali untuk kesekian kalinya, kalau untuk daerah Kelapa Gading ini, ada 3 tempat makan seafood yang enak yang pertama adalah 212 Seafood, kemudian Santai Malam 1001 dan yang terakhir adalah Pondok Pangandaran, inilah dia yang kali ini gw review, Pondok Pangandaran !

Rumah Makan seafood yang satu ini rasanya sudah snagat tidak asing lagi bagi kita, karena tempat makan ini punya beberapa cabang yang gw tau sih ada di Kelapa gading, sunter dan juga di Tanjung Duren, baik dimanapun mereka berada selalu ramai, apalagi di Kelapa Gading ini, kalau makannya pas dijam makan malam pasti bakal ramai dan bahkan banyak orang yang berdiri rela mengantri demi menikmati seafood disini, seafood ini punya kekhasan dan cara pengolahan yang berbeda, kalau Pondok Pangandaran sesuai dengan namanya makan berasal dari daerah pangandaran yang setau gw itu adalah daerah jawa barat yaa, di pangandaran memang banyak seafood enak hehe, karena kan dekat dengan laut hehe..

Pondok Pangandaran ini terletak di Jl.Boulevard Utara Kelapa Gading Blok QA-1/22 , persis di gang sebelum 212 Seafood, 2 seafood paling enak di Kelapa Gading ini letaknya memang bersebalahan, memang rival banget deh karena keduanya ramainya juga luar biasa yaa, kalau yang lebih suka hidangan dengan saus pedas rasanya memang lebih cocok ke 212 , tapi kalau lebih suka yang manis gurih asin gitu better ke Pondok Pangandaran , apalagi di sini sambalnya itu ada sambal mangga mudanya loh hehe, tempatnya yang terbuka membuat tempat ini sama sekali tidak bau amis, dan jugaa area makan dan area masak hanya di batasi oleh sedikit tembok makanya aroma masakan disini bisa menyebar ke seleuruh area makan dan itu sangat harum aromanya dan oke banget deh !

Selain tempat makan yang luas , pelayan disini juga banyak dan cekatan dalam pelayanannya, selain itu mereka juga memiliki pengetahuan yang baik akan menunya, disni kita bisa milih sendiri hidangan laut yang kita makan tetapi bisa juga tinggal kasih kepercayaan pada pelayan buat milihinnya, menu yang di tawarkan disni cukup banyak dan variatif dari olahannya sehingga gak bosen kalau terus-terus makan disini hehe, inilah dia menu yang gw santap kali ini..
>>Ikan Ayam-Ayam Bakar

Ikan Ayam-ayam adalah salah satu jenis ikan yang paling saya suka untuk di bakar selain baronang, ikan ayam-ayam itu ikan yang sangat enak menurut gw, di sini tekstur ikannya emang agak keras mirip ayam, bentuk ikannya adalah yang kepalanya agak besar dan mulutnya agak monyong ,di sini kira-kira ikannya sekitar 5-6 ons lah, di sini dagingnya sangat tebal dan di bagian kepalanya juga banyak daging apalagi di bagian pipi, rasanya sangat gurih, ikan ayam ini sangat cocok di bakar ,rasanya gausah di ragukan lagi enak banget dan tidak amis pastinya, bumbu bakarnya sangat meresap ke dalam dagingnya bener-bener enak , bumbu bakaranya gausah di pakein sambel ataupun kecap cabe rawit udah sedep banget pedesnya dapet dan manis gurihnya juga mantap, perpaduan rasa yang sangat oke..

>>Cumi Goreng Tepung

Cumi goreng tepung disini merupakan salah satu yang paling enak, karena garingnya yang mantap, selain itu cuminya pun juga sangat kenyal, jadi diantara teppung yang gurih dan renyah ini tersimpan tekstur cumi yang kenyal dan tentunya tidak bau amis, porsinya ini cukup banyak sih ya, sehingga cukup mengenyangkan apalagi cumi yang di tawarkan disini ukurannya cukup besar dan memang enak pastinya, apalagi cumi goreng tepung yang renyah ini disajikan dengan 3 varian sambal khas Pondok Pangandaran, bisa dicocol ke kecap manis dengan potongan cabe rawit dan irisan bawang merah, atau bisa juga dengann sambal terasi yang dipadu dengan mangga muda yang asam dan asik juga ternyata dicocol ke saus sambal bawang putih yang aromanya mantap dan cocok banget buat seafood !

>>Kerang Bambu Saus Tauco

Kerang Bambu juga merpuakan salah satu hidangan laut favorit gw, kerang bambu ini juga ga semua seafood punya , paling cuma restauran dengan rating tinggi hehe, kerang bambu itu paling pas ya memang di masak tauco, tapi untuk di Pondok Pangandaran ini , saus tauco nya itu saus tauco pedas yang sangat unik rasanya , di sini sangat gurih dan asin tauconya tapi ada juga rasa pedas karena menggunakan cabai , makanya warnanya merah , rasanya sih mantep , dan kerang bambunya pun di masak dengan pas , kalau di masak terlalu lama tekstur dari kerang bambu ini akan jadi alot dan susah di makan , tapi di sini sangat mudah di potong tapi ga ancur dan juga karena fresh jadi tidak amis !! enak banget deh kerang bambunya ini !

>>Kepiting Soka Goreng Tepung
Price : IDR 40.000

Kepiting Soka ini kepiting yang cangkangnya halus, jadi di masak bersama kulitnya, untuk menu yang satu ini kepiting nya itu dibaluri tepung kemudian di goreng garing, barulah di masak cabe garam. Bumbu cabe garam nya ini terdiri dari bawang putih dan cabe aja,baru kemudian di beri bumbu lada dan garam, rasanya gurih-gurih asin gitu, enak dan pas di makan bersama nasi yang bagus juga di sini. Kepitingnya fresh jadi tidak bau amis, soalnya biasanya yang namanya kepiting soka itu dibekuin, dan agak bau, tapi di sini rasanya amisnya sama sekali ga ada,dn renyah banget di gorengnya, meski di dalamnya masih terasa daging kepitingnya, porsi hidangan ini juga cukup banyak dan rasanya enak banget kok. Mantaplah !!

>>Udang Goreng Bawang

Menu berikutnya adalah udang, golongan crustacea ini memang punya pilihan olahan paling lengkap, mulai dari rebus, goreng hingga bakar juga bisa, atau dimasak dengan berbaagai saus juga oke, tapi pilihan gw kali ini adalah udang goreng bawang, jadi udang ini seperti udah goreng kering, cuma dikasih bawang putih yang di goreng selain bawang putih juga ada tumisan dari bawang bombay, paprika dan cabe merah, kombinasinya memang banyak sehingga membuat udang yang satu ini rasanya sangat gurih dimakan dari sisi manapun, baik itu dimakan dengan kulitnya atau tanpa kulit, gw sih biasanya makan sama kulitnya karena kulitnya udah renyah dan garing juga, sehingga bisa dimakan bersamaan dengan kulitnya dan sangat enak !!

>>Kangkung Cah Tauco

Makan seafood tanpa sayur ga lengkap hehhe, kan seafood punya kolesterol yang lumayan banyak tuh, kangkung ini buat netralisir deh hehe. Biarpun di sebut sebagai kangkung cah polos wujudnya ga polos-polos juga sih, ada potongan tomat hijau dan cabe rawit yang cukup banyak, rasa kangkung cah nya asin gurih dan pedas. Rasa asin dan gurihnya itu di dapet dari tauco nya, bumbu utama kangkung paling pas cuma ada 2 : terasi ama tauco. Kali ini saya pilih tauco karena lebih gurih, dan bau nya lebih soft. Bawang putih nya lagi-lagi masih ada di hidangan ini. Rasanya enak banget deh pokoknya, pas banget , di padu dengan menu seafood, kangkung cah tauco ini sangat cocok !!

Hi Openricers !!

Salah satu daerah yang paling mungkin buat menjadi pilihan berakhir pekan buat menghilangkan kepenatan ibu kota adalah Puncak !!! karena daerah yang satu ini punya banyak sekali daya tarik loh, mulai dari keindahan alam sampai pada keindahan pangannya tongue Jadi hobi kuliner yang sudah mendarah daging ini, membuat gw dan keluarga gw berempatan aja nih kita pergi ke puncak buat makan, dan perjalanan juga gak terlalu macet sih ya, sehingga lumayan nih jalan-jalan dulu ke puncak, nah pas pulangnya pas banget tuh sore-sore pas satu arah naik, jadi jalanannya di tutup, beruntung gw gak jauh dari salah satu tempat makan yang paling asik di daerah Puncak menurut gw, so inilah dia yang namanya Restoran Rindu Alam.

Namanya cukup dalam yaa, Rindu Alam, karena memang dengan makan disini kita bisa merindukan alam kita yang begitu indah ini, jadi begitu kita meninggalkan tempat ini pasti kita bakal kangen deh, gw berani jamin hehe, Restoran Rindu Alam ini berada di bener-bener di Puncak Pas, jadi setelah Puncak Pass naik lagi deh, bakal menemukan sebuah rumah makan yang sangat besar dengan area parkir yang luas juga soalnya kan yang makan disini memang banyak, terutama pas lagi macet kayak begini hehe, salah satu spot paling ramai yang ada di puncak ini !

Jadi buat area makan disini ada beberapa area nih Openricers ! ada daerah yang lumayan dingin dan dingin banget haha, gak ada satu sisi pun di sini yang gak dingin, apalagi sore hari ketika kabut udah mulai pada turun yaa, tempat makan yang satu ini bisa dibilang sebagai tempat peristirahatan juga, soalnya banyak orang berada di parkiran pelatarannya yang luas itu buat rekreasi sambil foto-foto menikmati keindahan alam yang terpancar dari sini, kemudian disini juga banyak yang jualan-jualan dan slaah satu yang paling laku adalah tukang sekoteng tuh hehe, soalnya kan hangat dipadukan dengan dingin, oh iya buat yang kedinginan dan butuh sweater, gausah khawatir, disini pun ada yang jual hehe..

Oh iya tempat makannya ini ada yang memang di pinggir resto sehingga bisa langsung melihat pemandangan diluar resto ini, yang sesuai dengan lagu zaman kecil nih sawah hijau terbentang, berpayung awan, persis sekali dengan lagu tersebut, indahnya alam kita ini, hijaunya memang indah banget dan udaranya ini dinginnya juga sangat menyegarkan jiwa hahaha *lebay* tapi memang benar kok, suasanya enak banget, meski sangat dingin apalagi hembusan angin sore hari cukup kencang, sehingga kalau gak pake baju yang bener-bener ketutup udaranya bakal cukup menusuk loh..

Tempat makan yang satu ini juga bersih banget di tambah lagi dengan pelayan yang banyak serta rajin semua tuh ya pelayannya, disini ada yang cukup lucu sih, karena ada yang menjual es -___- padahal udaranya udah dingin begini masih aja pesen es haha, oh iya menu yang di tawarkan disini juga banyak loh, sebenernya basenya tempat makan yang satu ini adalah restaurant padang yaa, cuma ada juga menu makanan sundanya , cuma sebagian besar adalah masakan padang, salah satu makanan yang paling jadi favorit disini adalah Ayam Goreng Rindu Alam, ayam yang satu ini persis dengan ayam pop, cuma beda namanya saja, selain itu satenya juga jadi idola disini dan juga ada satu menu yang spesial banget disini hehe, inilah dia...

Salah satu alasan mengapa gw sering datang ke Restoran Rindu Alam adalah karena adanya makanan yang satu ini, namanya sangat unik ya, seperti nama sebuah grup musik jawa gitu deh, menu makanan ini gw tau dari salah satu acara kuliner di TV, dan ketika mencobanya gw langsung ketagihan memang, menu makanan yang satu ini memang rasanya padang banget deh, makanan ini berisi campur-campur semua deh pokoknya, porsinya sih buat 4 orang yaa, ada ayam goreng, udang goreng, dendeng goreng, teri goreng, telur bulet dan juga pete yang semuanya di campur menjadi satu dengan cabe hijau, cabe hijau kan khas banget padang yaa, terus pas dimakan itu ada garing dari teri dan juga dendengnya, rasanya memang enak banget asin gurih pedas, terus porsinya memang melimpah, ada 4 buah telur bulet yang udah di goreng juga sih yaa, terus ayamnya ini ada beberapa potong sih yaa, dan yang enak juga adalah udangnya yang sudah digoreng, kemudian pete ini memberi efek aroma yang khas dan enak banget tuh yaa, menjadi pelengkap rasa yang istimewa terutama cabe hijaunya sih ya yang paling nikmat nih, juara banget deh rasa hidangan yang satu ini !!!! Harus kudu wajib banget dicoba nih Openricers !!

Inilah dia menu sate yang menjadi favorit gw, seperti yang udah gw bilang sebelumnya, spesialnya sate di Rindu Alam adalah menggunakan hot plate dalam penyajiannya dan bumbu kecapnya itu di pisah, sate yang gw pilih adalah semuanya kambing, kambing yang di pakai sih kambing muda yaa sehingga empuk, dan membakarnya juga bumbunya tipis, gak pakai bumbu berlebihan kayak kacang atau kecap gitu, cuma bumbu rendaman aja, makanya warnanya agak pucat hehe, kemudian kering deh satenya karena tetap di panaskan di atas hotplate, kalau saya biasanya memang makannya di cocol, atau bisa juga, satenya ini di lorot, jadi dagingnya di lepas dari tusukannya, kemudian di siram dengan bumbu kecap yang ada potongan cabe , bawang dan juga kol, jadi mirip steak daging gitu, enak deh :9

>>Sop Kambing
Price : IDR 22.500

Inilah menurut gw yang jadi jawaranya di makan sore kali ini, sop kambingnya bener-bener dahsyat , sop kambingnya ini isinya emang gak ada daging karena semua dagingnya udah di jadiin sate , isi sopnya adalah tulang-tulang yang tentunya masih ada dagingnya dikit-dikit dan juga urat, istilah jawanya ini balungan hehe, terus sama jeroan deh kayak paru, babat , usus dan juga ada kayak tulang muda gitu deh, atinya udah di sate juga tuh hehe, pertama yang bikin enak adalah kuahnya, kuahnya ini berasa rempah tapi gak over, jadi pas gitu rasanya, kemudian gak ada bau kambing sama sekali, karena kuah rebusan kambingnya ini gak di pake semua, sebagian di buang dan lemaknya gak di pake, kemudian yang enak juga ada sum-sumnya, mantap sekali deh, rasanya bener-bener bikin gak bisa berhenti makan sop kambing yang satu ini, amazing ! Really great dining with great atmosphere and view !!

Good Kopitiam with Good Wi-Fi and Services

Tadi siang rencananya gw akan memakai voucher mid town owl yang gw beli disdus tapi karena kesalahan gw melihat tanggal berlakunya itu voucher yang ternyata bisa dipakai mulai dari tanggal 9 april tidak membuahkan hasil yang indah untuk gw. Akhirnya gw bergegas menuju Central Park. Sesampainya di Central Park gw pun bingung mau makan apa ya? Karena sebagian besar restaurant di Central Park ini sudah pernah gw coba

Ketika gw melintasi Killiney Kopitiam gw ingin masuk kesana tapi ternyata discount 20% hanya berlaku untuk orang-orang yang bekerja di Central Park dengan cara memperlihatkan kartu keanggotaan. Dan kemudian tampaklah kopitiam yang hanya bertuliskan Kopitiam di depannya dan membuat gw sedikit penasaran karena walaupun gw sering sekali ke Central Park tapi gw jarang lalu lalang di bagian sini.

 

 

Kopitiam ini memiliki interior yang simple namun cheerful, interior dengan sentuhan kayu terang ini membuat suatu kesan nyaman tersendiri berada di kopitiam. Wi-fi nya pun sangat lancar dan kencang, benar-benar plus point dari gw. Pelayanan nya pun benar-benar ramah dan baik. Kemudian salah satu waitress menanyakan email gw. Dan ternyata setiap pembelian Rp 10.000 kita mendapatkan 1point. Kemudian ketika point tersebut sudah cukup banyak dapat kita tukarkan dengan hadiah-hadiah menarik yang dapat ditukarkan. Menarik ya Openricers lol

 

Iced Milo Dinosaur (IDR 23.000)

Gw memilih iced milo dinosaur ini karena namanya yang cukup menarik dan harganya tidak terlalu mahal. Minuman ini dtaang dengan taburan bubuk susu milo diatas susu yang memang terasa sekali coklatnya. Yummy nih. Apa yang bisa salah dengan coklat bertemu dengan taburan coklat? minuman pun akan terasa semakin enak diseruput. Tidak beberapa lama minuman gw pun sudah habis.

 

Kopitiam Iced Teh Tarik (IDR 21.000)

Teh tarik dari Kopitiam ini rasanya cukup menyegarkan dengan tingkat kemanisan yang pas menurut gw sehingga tidak membuat enek. Buat Openricers yang tidak mau coba macam-macam dan mau yang pasti-pasti aja boleh memesan teh tarik dari Kopitiam ini

 

Curry Fried Rice (IDR 34.000)

Gw memesan nasi goreng dengan bumbu curry ini yang datang cukup mengejutkan karena porsinya yang sangat banyak dan 34.000ribu yang dikeluarkan serasa cukup murah dikarenakan porsinya yang jumbo. Saat gw coba, wah rasanya enak bumbu curry nya cukup berasa namun tidak berlebihan dengan potongan wortel yang rasanya cukup manis dan potongan ayam yang rasanya manis dan gurih. Nasi gorengnya sendiri rasanya enak dan terasa sentuhan homemade. Overall nasi gorengnya sangat dapat dinikmati tetapi menurut gw agak sedikit dry texture nya.

 

Nasi Lemak Chicken (IDR 37.000)

Nasi lemak di kopitiam ini datang dengan ikan teri disertai kacang, sepotong ayam kalasan yang sudah dibumbuin, semacam telur yang diserut dan tempe orek. Nasinya gw suka karena texturenya pulen dan wangi. Wangi bawang goreng yang ditabur diatasnya menambah wangi dari nasinya sendiri. Ayamnya cukup ok dan yang paling ok adalah cabai gorengnya dengan rasa yang nendang (pedas) wah, pokoknya kalau sudah dinikmati dengan cabainya semua yang dipiring terasa enak. Tadi sempat minta tambah cabai nya.

Menurut gw Kopitiam ini adalah sebuah tempat yang cocok untuk orang yang mobile atau sedang istirahat dari kantor atau sekedar ingin menikmati aneka menu yang disajikan disini. Dengan wi-fi yang kencang dan bagus serta pelayanan yang friendly membuat gw betah berlama-lama disini. Selain bisa browsing secara gratis dengan kecepatan yang ok juga makanannya terasa enak. Yum!

LOVE on Toasts!

One can't stand the sweetness visually delivered, one can't stand against how one sweetness can make them feel special while the afterward effect may not look as pretty as it seemed. One sweet guilty pleasure, one constant battle between pleased and pissed. There were another choices but you kept falling on the same place. It is not that special, but it certainly yearning. Some may indifferent or just passed it through. Some being cynical, will they be good? will they remain good like how sweet they used to be?

On not so particular day, i went with some friends to Roppan, where Roppan itself is one growing rapidly or now stably success delivering love on toasts. Owned by the same man behind JCO and not to mention one monstrous salon located almost in every corner of Jakarta's malls.

Assimilating into one, they share one same ground to spoils their customers. Light brown colored furniture and flooring made the place looks cozy and fresh. Friendly Roppan's workers also gave one hospitable impression.

Specializing on servings variants of cute to tasty looking toasts along with Japanese meals selections such as : katsu, curry to ramen. To know if the price tag worth the taste, i decided to give a go on both toasts and meal. You can't choose and score if you only focusing yourself on one object, don't you?

Firstly came a plate of Green Chahan (IDR 28.000) a plate of green fried rice made from vague pesto sauce, Indonesian salted fish with peanuts, quite thick and crunchy chicken cutlets that gave one good impression. But then one element didn't quite click on me, it was their potato chips. I must say i fell in love with its rice, fragrant and a little bit mushy, not to mention i love how the cutlets were crunchy yet fulfilling at the same time combined with its chilli that taught you how to start but not to stop until it's gone.

 

 

Took a bite of quite thick toast but quite yum along with 3pieces crispy chicken nuggets on it sauteed with chilli sauce. Tori Hanzo as it called, successful in delivering savoriness on toast.

 

She was like contorting her body according to the rhythm in white while her mind is in between. Yuki Berry is quite addictive, i must say. You still want her even though she doesn't want you. Soft white wavy chocolaty bar fused with the sweet sour from the sauteed strawberries created one good harmonization.

 

An egg should be marvelously started your morning along with toast. And this Sunny Shinjuku is not an exception. I was mesmerized how the yolk dripped beautifully as i cut through it. What could go wrong with well made sunny side up along with its toast?

 

Refreshing blueberries along with its jam tagged along by almonds over it. Kaguya Berry was another sweet treat to my sweet tooth. The berries were simply delish, sweet sour sensation in my mouth worked well with the crunch crunch from almonds.

 

Lastly i had Ikebanana & Motto Choko, their ikebanana is like one complete sweet guilty pleasure on one toast. Sweet soft banana with cheese and strawberry with cream below. While Motto Choko wasn't too memorable.

I ordered one strong chocolaty drink with not so much charm on appearance but i did enjoy every straw of it. Ha, it was quite weird when you happened sat on one cozy spot but still lulled with what the other side had. Like what they said "Neighbors greens are always greener" Thank God, i stopped on the right time, right place without bothering what was blurry ahead coated in tempting presentation. Jco is good but tried that, been there and Roppan is much better. Like my best friend said that i am easily pleased guy. Sometimes, a guy like me easily satisfied with both less and max. And sometimes, i do think i need to set up my standard.
