Last week I went to a restaurant which located in Kuningan, Jakarta, this restaurant is happening recently, many people talks about this libations here and there, some said this is the best restaurant they've ever been, some said it's worth the price, and some just curious because the famous MasterChef Indonesia, Chef Juna is the head chef of this restaurant. Wonder what? Yes, it's Jack Rabbit Cuisine and Libations !!
So, My boyfriend does a RSVP to book a table for our anniversary dinner on 6pm, I do recommend you to RSVP first before come, because at weekend, usually the table is full and you should wait on the waiting list. At first, we quite confuse where is the location of JackRabbit, finally, we found it at CyberPark 2. The restaurant is stand aside and apart of the office, but still in the same building. If you want to park the car in front of JackRabbit, u should pay Rp 30.000 or equal of valet parking service. So, we decide to park by ourselves at the basement, and we surprised because the parking area is on B2 , and we should use lift and walk a bit to the restaurant.
After we arrived, we were directed to our table which was in front of the bar and near the entrance. At the first glance, we could see the nice and cozy environment that the restaurant showed us. We think that this restaurant adapted themselves to the Pent House model which is very elegance and comfy. The bar showed many unique bottles which may be liquor or the Wine that they served. This restaurant also provide a room for a private party which could hold for about 10 people and located at the second floor. We also attached some of the picture that we took upon our arrival.

Okay, done with the layout detail, let's started with the whole eating experience !!
After we arrived in our table, there was something odd about the table,, the table was not set up for our meal,,, there were no knife, fork, not even tissue >.< , okay, we thought that this may be how they served here. The waitress that showed us our table was also in charge to take our order, so, we were given the 2 pieces of menu book that looks like a poster. We found this interesting because we also get the same kind of menu's book at Loewy.
The menu itself was divided into several segments such as soups & salads, plate for shares, sandwich & Pasta, Steak, Hamburger, and also Desert. For the wine list and Cock-Mocktail, the menu was separated at the second menu. After looked at many menu and ask the waitress about them, we decided to order : Pinwheel Steak (Appetizer), Fried Calamary Fettuchini with Vodka Sauce, and 10 Oz PLT Burger (because we heard that the Burger was a Must in JackRabbit !!)
After we finished with our order, the waitress went to input our order and he gave us a Sliced Bread for the compliment. The breads were delicioso, it feels like it was freshly baked at the time they about to served us. The bread itself was dressed with a unique plate that looks like a cutting board for bread and cheese that we usually see at the western movie
They gave us 3 kind of bread which each of them differ in the fibers stack and the texture. Along with the bread, there was a cheese stick (maybe, because it tasted like one of them) and 2 small plate of the dressing (I'm guessing the sour(plain) and the wheat mayonnaise. Overall, the compliment was very Nice, in fact, my boyfriend was about to finish them all, hahahaha. . .
After the whole experience with the compliment food, there came our Dinner !!!
,, the first dishes that came to our table was our drink, of course
. I ordered the Apple Mojito, which is one of the Jack's Mocktail, and for my boyfriend, he ordered one of the best liquor (tonic) that they have, which is "The Cooler". For my Mojito, I think it taste the same with many Mojito that every good restaurant served, but, the difference was in the size, which is quite big, and in the strong aroma of the Mint and smashed Apple, THAT was made this Mocktail my favorite in JackRabbit
For "The Cooler", it was a drink with a mix of Aragulla Gin, Viognier, St.Germain, Tonic, lime juice and a slice of Fresh Cucumber inside it. It was no doubt that it is one of the best liquor in that place. The taste was awesome, just imagine, for a sip of a Gin that most of you knew, a little bit strong, it was balanced by the lime juice that made them a very perfect match along with the Viognier and also the Tonic. Overall, my boyfriend was very satisfied with this drink

Not long after the drink arrived, there came our Appetizer and our Pasta
"The Pinwheel Steak"
This Appetizer can be found in the "Plate for Shared" segment of the menu and it said to be one of the best food and appetizer in JackRabbit along with their "Steak D'Foie Gras". When our pinwheel steak arrived, our first impression was "WAAAW",, the presentation was very delicate and beautiful. It served on a bowled plate with a shape of 2 wheel that nearly stacked upon each other and surrounded by 2 kind of sauces (the brown and the green sauce). We started to pick up our knife and fork eagerly and slowly sliced one of the steak. It was an Angus Beef that cut into a small pieces, rolled with the baby spinach inside them and sauteed with the mushroom sauce. The taste was incredibly gorgeous ! The Angus Beef was very juicy with a nice texture to chew and it was balanced by the sliced of baby spinach that hide inside the wheel-shaped-steak. What made it more special was 2 kind of the delicious sauces that dressed the steak. It was no doubt one of the best appetizer that I ever been taste so far. Oh, there were also 2 dot of mayonnaise that served at the edge of the plate, just to made them more delicate to be seen

After we tasted the Pinwheel Steak, it's time to continue our dinner to the main course.
"Fried Calamari Fettuccine with Vodka Cream Sauce"
Basically, this dish was came with the Spaghetti, but we ordered them to change the pasta into fettuccine. When first arrived, the presentation was very unique. Rather than giving an elegance presentation, this restaurant decided to presented the pasta in a rough image, with the Shredded Basil all around the plate. This kind of presentation was made this dish showed it characteristic and very gorgeous. We can see the Fried Calamari was all over the top of the Pasta. The taste itself was good. What made this dish special, beside the unique presentation, is the kind of cheese that they used for the ingredient. Along with this dish, we can taste the delicious Grana Padano Cheese, which basically came from Italy. This cheese was mixed with the shredded Basil and Vodka and cream that all of them created an unbeatable taste of a cream sauce for a pasta. This dish was unique and honestly, different from many fried calamari fettuccine that I ever tasted before.

After the Fettuccine, there came the BIG BURGER ! hahaha
"The 10 Oz PLT Beef Burger (US Angus Beef)"
As always, the first impression is one the most important factors in Food. When this monstrous burger came into my Burger, we were very very surprised with the size of the burger,, IT WAS FREAKIN' BIG !!!! We though that the size is the same like any other burger, but really, this one is a very Big Burger. This is a "Must-try" dish in JackRabbit restaurant. The presentation was also unique. The Burger came with a cutting board, I think it was the same type of cutting board like the one along the bread earlier. It came with a knife that stabbed at the middle of the burger. It also accompanied by a glass full of french fries that already mixed with red pepper all over them. When we sliced the Burger, it showed a very nice texture of the Angus beef, very juicy and rough, that made us impatient to taste it. Oh, I almost forgot, when I ordered the burger, the waitress asked if I wanted it to be cooked medium, med rare, or well done. I chooses the medium one. We can see that this burger used a fresh onion and lettuce. The taste was amazing ! The Angus beef was quickly melted into my tongue when I put them in my mouth. I can feel those juicy Angus beef along with the delicate bread and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. It was an unbeatable taste, and I think, this is the second best dish that I tasted tonight at this restaurant after the Pinwheel Steak. I definitely will order this one again next time I revisited this restaurant.
10 Oz PLT Burger - IDR 150,000
Fiuhhh,, that's all our main course. . . Even though we were already full, but we were very curious with the Dessert that this restaurant offered. After stop chewing for a while, we asked the Dessert menu and came up with the decision to order the Chocolate Lava Cake. . .
'Chocolate Lava Cake'
The presentation was the same with many other chocolate lava cake that I ever ordered in many restaurant, but, there were a unique Bunny Chocolate that was sit at the edge of the plate, which made the dish looked cute. Even though the presentation was not stunning, the opposite was came about the taste. It was very delicious !!! When I tasted a spoon of them, I can feel the warm and soft chocolate cake with the hot chocolate melted inside them. It created the warm and soft feeling that support the taste of the chocolate itself. The cake was not too sweet, it was perfectly fit my taste. We can eat the chocolate melted with a spoonful of a Caramel Ice Cream that was served along with the cake and also we can eat them with the chocolate bunny and some berry that also served along with the lava cake. . . To me, this dish made the "Chocolate Lava Cake" still be one of my favorite dessert of all time. . .
Chocolate Lava Cake - IDR 55,000
Okaayy, that's all the dining experience that we feel at JackRabbit Restaurant. Overall, we were very satisfied with this restaurant. The ambiance of this restaurant made it perfect for an Anniversary celebration for us. I think this restaurant is also suitable for just chill out, for dating and maybe for a music listening restaurant because it also served a live music at friday and saturday. For the service, I couldn't say more except for BRAVO ! The waitress served us very well and very friendly, they know about all the menu and made the good recommendation for the one who just eat there for the first time. For the price, I think it was worth for every penny that I spent there because of the cozy ambiance, an amazing taste of the dishes, the gorgeous food Presentation, and also an excellence service by the crew. Overall, again, we are very very satisfied with the experience that we have with JackRabbit Restaurant and I think that I will come back again another time to tried other menu that they have
OHH !!! Just For Spoiler,, for Chef Juna's lovers or fans, recent news said that he has resigned from JackRabbit kitchen because of personal reason due to the official web of JackRabbit,, huhuuu, , , so,,, Adieu Chef Juna ! hehehe. . .
but, don't worry,, the taste of food still delicious and lezato !!!
