Rasanya gurih2 asam gitu, pembangkit selera bgt. Trus choipannya pake bengkoang dan ebinya ga dicampur didalam, jadinya orang yang ga suka ebi pasti ga bakal eneg makan choipannya. Murah juga loh hanya 12k per porsi!6. Summer day: ini minuman seperti permen nano2.. Aneh sih rasanya menurut saya, asem/asin gak jelas gitu. 7. Peanut butter milkshake: ini NAGIH BANGET! Gak bisa berenti minumnya. Kekentalannya pas awal2 sih lumayan kental tapi gak sampai sekental resto2 pada umumnya. Peanutnya berasa tapi gak mendominasi, semuanya well-balanced.

Auntie’s Kitchen is a family restaurant that will treat your taste buds with its Kalimantan cuisine. Since the opening of Auntie’s Kitchen’s first outlet in Sunter, the restaurant has currently established two new outlets; one in Airport Hub and one in Kelapa Gading (opened on July 26th)Nona Tukang Makan was lucky to be invited by Openrice and Auntie’s Kitchen to join the gathering hosted by both parties at Auntie’s kitchen Kelapa Gading, where I could meet new foodies friends and enjoy the restaurant’s delightful delicacies. We were offered five dishes to be shared among a table of four people, and also two choices of drinks, including Summer Day and Peanut Butter Milkshake. As I was not in the mood for something sweet, I opted for the Summer Day (IDR 15K++), which burst with great tanginess. So fresh!Sop Iga Sapi Ala Kalimantan with Rice (IDR 50K++)It tasted deliciously exotic and authentic at the same time. The soup was delicately tangy and savoury. It was beautiful in taste. Moreover, the meat was tender enough to ease the chewing process.Nasi Kare ala Kalimantan (IDR 32K++)A few fellow foodies said that the kare was not salted properly, but I think the broth was appropriate for my taste bud. It was not too thick, but still savoury and not underseasoned. The chicken meat and the potato were also very tender. This soup reminds me of Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). The warm broth got similar light, savoury flavour with that of Pho’s and the noodle was also similarly sleek in texture. Everything was good about this except the little toughness of the beef.Pisang Goreng Srikaya (IDR 15K++)I’m not a fan of Indonesian style fried banana, so I decided not to try one. Sorry for being picky.Auntie’s Choipan (IDR 12K++)The dish took the longest to prepare. I think we almost finished eating everything else until it was on the table. But, it was worth to wait for. The skin’s thickness was perfect, and the seasoning was excellent. It was one of the best that I’ve ever tried so far. They told me to dip it in the chilli sauce, but my tongue was too shy for the spiciness.Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to both Openrice and Auntie’s Kitchen for hosting the event. It was nice meeting everyone. And moreover, it was fantastic to have the opportunity to enjoy such heartwarming delicacies. I’d certainly recommend my family and friends to dine at Auntie’s Kitchen Kelapa Gading.P.s. To celebrate the opening of the outlet, Auntie’s Kitchen has decided to offer a 26% discount until the end of July! So, don’t waste your time any longer!*Nona Tukang Makan dined as a guest of Auntie’s Kitchen. However, the opinion stated is strictly hers. continue reading
