Located inside Century Hotel, Dapour is one of restaurant hotel buffets that serves a delicious, yummy, Indonesian food that will not disappoint your taste. Not so long ago, I had a chance to try the Dapour restaurant with other foodies friends.Per pax - start from IDR 218,000 (Buffet, All you can eat)Dapour restaurant mainly served Indonesian Dessert. Food like Soto Mie, Sop Iga, Sate Ayam, even Gorengan like Tempe Mendoan and others could be find here. Yes, if you love Indonesian food, then this place will be like a paradise for you.Even Dapour staffs there said that a lot of Regional Minister all over Indonesia wants to stay in Century Hotel just because of they love the food served in Dapour!In this Ramadhan month, Dapour also serve a lot of traditional snacks and dessert such as Bubur Madura, Klepon, and other yummy Indonesian dessert.My favorite menu here in Dapour is the Sop Iga! Trust me, the ribs are super duper tender. If you love to eat chilli, then you should request bunch of chilli to pour inside the soup.My second favorite menu after Sop Iga is the Nasi Padang, especially the Rendang. It’s really well cook, super tender, and the gravy… nendang abis deh!!My third one is the dessert. They offer lots of small Indonesian cakes like Martabak Manis, Pohong, - even there’s dodol - and I really love all of it.Well, basically all of their menus are my favorite. Of course, because it’s Indonesian food! *Proud of Indonesia*AmbianceIt’s so elegant and lavish inside Dapour. I really love to enjoy my food with this kind of ambiance. It makes me enjoy the food even more. If you’re a smoker, then you could eat your meal peacefully in the bar just next to Dapour restaurant. The lighting is awesome, and they also offers range of mocktails, cocktails, and other kinds of beverages. Just tell the barista what do you want ;)The unique thing about Dapour, they’ll rotate the Indonesian menus so the customer wouldn’t get bored. For example, this week theme is Makassar Food. Then, the week after the theme might be about Betawi Food, and so on, and so on. (this is last year's post about a week i became a blogger, nostalgia a little bit) I got a rare chance tasting menus made by Chef Patrick Farjas himself at Hotel Century Park , Jakarta. Thanks to one of culinary website who gave me the chance to made it happen . As an amateur blogger who started his blog less than month , this is a chance that i wouldn't even missed .Felt guilty as well due to the my carelessness left my camera behind . Luckily a nice gentleman who wears his smile most of the time lending me his camera . I bet it's not easy for someone to lend his camera to an anonymous person . To be honest it caused me a little bit of faux pas. I must say they gave a great hospitality . Friendly & warm service .I was too early about the first person who came that day . After a several bloggers began to arrived , we tour-guided by Mr Wisnu & others to take a look at the hotel rooms , from standard room - president suite . I must say the president suite was mind blowing . It was beautifully and carefully decorated . It will cost you about IDR : 8.000.000 + to spend a quality night there . Sorry , i can't give you the sightings of the rooms . You know , a little bit human error thingy .We returned to our starting point " Senayan Cafe " which it will take place for our quality luncheon with the only one Maître Cuisinier de France in Indonesia , Chef Patrick Farjas . It is a prestigious tittle bestowed upon talented chefs to spread France cultures and cooks all over the world also his passion toward culinary and cooking brought him to became an Executive Chef Plumed Horse at Saratoga – Bay Area & Olympic Club Lakeside, San Francisco. The Association of Maître Cuisiniers de France logo is to : preserving and spreading French culinary art , encourage training in cooking and aiding the development of national.But to tell you the truth , the air-con wasn't too cold . In fact it was a little bit hot . A beautiful decorated long table for a banquet already reserved for us . It was kinda awkward for me since i don't know anyone else there and you know , i felt a little bit pressure since i was the only one amateur blogger there ? After waited for a quite long time , here he came . The Chef with his foods . I was enthusiastic when the Chef came . He looked so humble and kind , He was active in explaining the foods and sat among us . Enough the babbling and get straight to what was on the table .elegantly decorated and not to forget the Indonesian touchcomplimentary bread with elle & vire french butterSalad as starter . fresh & refreshingThe salad wasn't looked too appetizing if you ask me . But, when you ate it . It was refreshing . The sourness level was also just right . But , i couldn't finished them up because i am not a fan of salad . Some fellow bloggers finished the salad . I bet it must be pretty good then . Not too long after a waiter picked up the salad plates Here came the star :Crispy skin cajun style tasmanian salmon with tropical salsaThe salmon was so good . Seriously , i was the first who finished the plate . I thought the skin was slightly overcooked back then . But nay , i was wrong . It wasn't overcooked . I must say it was impressive , rich of flavors and what amazed me more was the skin was tasted perfect and crunch . You know , most of the fish skins weren't crunch and left that fishy sensation in the mouth. The meat was beautifully done . It was pink and tender , tasty and yum . The salsa under the fish was also refreshing but again i am not a fan . And again i must say this salmon wasn't smelled fishy and rancid at all . Tumpeng style rice was ok. I managed to finished the plate except the salsa.Apple pie with anonymous tasty white creamThe desert was a simple apple pie . Simple means not so-so . Instead behind that simple look hide a good and tasty apple pie . Apple slices on the pie was sweet and as an incurable sweet tooth sufferer . There's no way i don't like this amazing pie . Its white cream was the star but too little on the plate . Wished i can asked for more white cream and how i wish i can use my hands to enjoy this pie . But , no i won't do that .That's all , after enjoying our quality lunch time with Century Park hotel gentlemen & Chef Patrick we took some pictures and obviously i am who's a narcissist also took a picture with Chef Patrick .Overall , i was having good times there . The services were great . The hotel was amazing . The foods were satisfying . It was a Saturday mood maker before going to having fun with my companions afterwards . Who am i to asked for more ? blessed and uh , we also got another sweet treat from Sweet Corner . I can chose whatever i want . only 1 piece thou . I want more ! Senangnya dapat undangan gathering dari Openrice, apalagi timingnya memungkinkan, di weekend Setelah tau tempatnya, gw sempet browsing2 dulu di Openrice tentang profile restorannya. Hmm menarik juga ternyata.Hari H-nya, gw dan cowok gw (yang kebetulan juga diundang) ternyata kepagian datengnya. Kita memutuskan untuk duduk aja dulu supaya bisa survey-survey duluan Tempatnya very nice, traditional designnya ‘ketangkep’ banget, walaupun ternyata belakangan gw baru tau bahwa konsep design traditional ini akan diubah jadi modern. Hmm, seru juga, konsep modern tapi makanan traditional. Acara Openrice ini ternyata diadakan di Private Room, yang notabene cuma ada 1 ruangan di Senayan Café ini. LCD dan laptop tersedia standby di meja depan, yang menginformasikan secara implisit bahwa akan ada presentasi tentang Senayan Café ini. Seru.. Beberapa waiter dari Senayan Cafenya bolak-balik mempersiapkan ini dan itu, mulai dari persiapan makanannya, piring, serbet, dll. Asyik banget ngeliatin semua kesibukan ini.Baru 1 crew Openrice yang ada di sana, lagi sibuk foto-foto. Beberapa lama kemudian, sejumlah tim dari Hotel Atlet/Senayan Cafenya mulai bermunculan, and they were so friendly. Kita sempet bincang-bincang mengenai Senayan Café, Hotel Atlet, Openrice dll. Dapat sedikit bocoran juga tentang menu yang akan disajikan, walaupun di artikel gathering di Openrice juga udah disebutin sih.Setelah menunggu beberapa lama, Openricers lain mulai berdatangan termasuk sebagian crew Openrice lainnya. Sepertinya acaranya memang akan ngaret nih Setelah diskusi akhirnya diputuskan bahwa Openricers yang sudah datang duluan akan diajak tour keliling Hotel Atlet Century Park dulu, sementara peserta lain yang belum datang akan ikut di Batch kedua. Asyiiikk.. Mulai deh salah seorang crew Hotel Atlet mengguide kami dan memberikan penjelasan sepanjang tour, di mana kami mengunjungi berbagai jenis kamar yang ada, sampai Suite juga serta ruang-ruang meeting yang ada and also the ballroom. Very nice. Untuk ukuran seseorang yang katanya baru seminggu join di this hotel, crew tsb. termasuk sangat informatif dan cukup menguasai ‘product’nya.Setelah puas keliling, kami sempat berpapasan dengan rombongan kedua. Bersyukur juga sih join di Batch 1 karena pasti kelilingnya lebih lama dan lebih puas. Abis itu kita kembali ke ruang private dan tim Markom Hotel Atlet/Senayan Café mulai berdatangan dan kita saling menyalami tanda perkenalan. Semuanya sangat ramah dan energik, khas orang Marketing deh. Presentasinya juga nice, kompak dan materinya juga bagus, termasuk slide per slidenya didesign dengan nice.Setelah presentasi, kami mulai diundang untuk makan. Ada meja Buffet di belakang, yang menyajikan nasi Mbok Tani (tadinya gw pikir namanya Nasi Botani, tapi ternyata setelah baca2 brosurnya, sepertinya nama yang benar adalah Nasi Mbok Tani). Nasi Mbok Tani ini terdiri dari beberapa komponen. Nah di meja Buffet itu, ada deretan panci2 traditional yang masing-masing memuat komponen-komponennya Nasi Mbok Tani sebagai berikut :• Nasi Gurih – Sebenarnya sama aja sama Nasi Uduk, cuma aja rasanya lebih soft.• Urap dan Nangka serta ayam suwir2 – Ini paduan yang enak dan ‘masuk’ banget sama nasi Gurihnya.• Opor Telur Puyuh – Nyum, enak banget, apalagi gw memang penggemar Telur Puyuh.• Sambel Goreng Krecek – Menurut gw, Kreceknya ada baunya sedikit, tapi sepertinya itu memang salah satu bau bumbunya, alias memang disengaja ada bau khas seperti itu. Tapi tetap ga mengurangi kenikmatannya kok • Babat Goreng – Babatnya agak kenyal, tapi ga keras.• Mendoan – Mendoannya enak, agak alot-alot ga garing, tapi Mendoan memang seperti itu kan ya • Peyek – Nah ini menurut gw makanan paling enak dari Nasi Mbok Tani. Garing dan lezat banget. Sebenernya pengen banget nambah lho, cuma takut yang laen ga kebagian. Sambil nulis ini aja, kebayang deh garingnya Peyeknya.. uuugh…• AcarNah Nasi Mbok Tani ini disediakan di wadah berbentuk tikar gitu, yang dilapisi daun pandan (sepertinya ). Wadah tikarnya bentuknya Limas Segitiga terbalik gitu, jadi ga bisa didiriin. Unik tempatnya. Very traditional.Nah selain menu Buffet itu, ternyata disediakan juga menu ala carte di meja kita. Waduh, sampe bengong ngeliat betapa banyaknya menu yang disajikan :• Martabak Century – disajikan dengan saus cukanya. Enak, dan dagingnya banyak• Sop Buntut – Ini katanya adalah salah satu signature dish di sini. Karena gw memang bukan penggemar Sop Buntut, jadi mohon maaf gw ga bisa comment banyak. Tapi cowok bilang menu yang satu ini enak kok, walaupun agak sedikit susah lepas dari tulangnya • Buntut Panggang (atau goreng ya? Hehe..) – Ini rasanya enak. Penggemar Buntut pasti suka deh.• Nasi Goreng Buntut – Nasi goreng yang satu juga adalah salah satu favorite gw. Pedesnya itu lho yang pas banget. Bikin pengen nambah dan nambah lagi. Rasanya juga pas.Nah selain makanan di meja, ga lupa pihak Senayan Café juga menyajikan :• Minuman kopi andalan mereka yang bahannya berasal dari Australia. Ada dua macam kopi yang disajikan, yakni yang Hot dan yang Cold. Gw pilih yang Cold, yang namanya Choco Nut Hazelnut (kalau ga salah). Kopinya agak pahit, tapi enak, dan dilengkapi dengan taburan kacang. Tampilannya ciamik banget.• Dessert buah yang disajikan di meja khusus, terdiri dari aneka buah dan pie susu buah. Semuanya enak dan segar.Nah sudah liat sendiri kan betapa banyaknya menu yang disajikan. All-out banget ya mereka.. Yang gw kagum adalah bukan sekedar rasa makanan dan kualitasnya, tapi bagaimana ‘totalnya’ mereka menyajikan dan mempresentasikan produk mereka. Konsep Marketing mereka bagus banget, and they know how to run an excellent marketing strategy. Mendingan total/all-out ketimbang setengah-setengah. Upaya branding Hotel Atlet Senayan maupun Senayan Café ini menurut gw patut banget diacungi jempol.Setelah itu ga lupa para Chef dan pihak-pihak terkait yang berhubungan dengan menu-menu yang disajikan tadi, diundang masuk untuk mem-brief kami tentang menu yang disajikan. Menarik banget penjelasan mereka, bahkan Bapak Chef Senayan Café itu pernah jadi Juara dengan kreasi Nasi Panglima-nya di acara 17 Agustusan lho.. Ga heran nasi Mbok Tani nya sama enaknya.Ga lupa setelah acara selesai, Goody Bag dari Hotel Atlet menunggu. Isinya Notes Unik berbentuk Dompet serta pena, dan boneka yang lucu. Bener-bener dari awal sampe akhir, kita di-service habis-habisan nih Thank you so much untuk Hotel Atlet, Senayan Café dan Openrice.
