Hamptons Cafe which is located in Kemang, was inspired by rich people house in Long Island, New York. In there, the socialite often held a cocktail party which usually accompanied by the serving of finger food. Finger food that being served on hamptons are divided by 3 types: Tartlets, Canapé and Petite four.
Tartlets is a mini pie, mixed with a topping such a regal, Nutella, Kitkat or strawberry. The making of this tartlets are quite simple since they have the base tart ready to use. As for the canapé, canapé is a mini dessert which has a savory flavor. Last but not least, petite four, a dessert that placed in a small cup of glass with the choices of cream brulee, strawberry pannacota and chocolate parfait.
According to Tisha, The Manager, Hamptons started by only serving a finger food as the main product of the restaurant. But by the increasing demand of the customers, they finally started to served main course and other dishes. When I first came to the Hamptons, I immediately fall in love with the finger food presentation of this restaurant. Despite the appearance of the food, which is relatively small, the presentation of the food is interesting and captivating. In the end, I’ve decided to order several types of the finger food that they already have. Blue velvet cupcake (Rp29.500)
The taste of blue velvet mixed with Rosella cream on top of it sure fit perfectly as a dessert. The cupcake is served in an ice cream cup,which makes it easier to eat without a mess.Blue velvet cupcake is a part of petite four dessert. Kitkat nutella (Rp10.500)
This menu is on the Tartlets. A mini pie with Rosella Cream, crispy ball and Kitkat on top of it have such a beautiful appearance. They use NUTELLA as chocolate topping, which makes me like it more. Everything seems to taste better with NUTELLA. Cotton candy (Rp10.500)
Cotton candy is categorized in Tartlets. This mini pie has a cotton candy as a touch up topping, making us feels nostalgic with our childhood Ice cream sandwich (Rp10.500)
This petite four dessert type is just plain, with just an ice cream sandwiched between 2 cookies. Personally, I think the mixing between 2 cookies and ice cream does not fit and seems off. Marshmallow milkshake (Rp29.500)
I saw the making of this drink, just like another milk,blended with marshmallow and sprinkled with sugar on top of it, served with a glass that shaped like a flower vase and marshmallows on top of it. Just another plain milkshake for me,nothing special. Kitkat Nutella Milkshake (Rp29.500)
Mixing of chocolate milk with Kitkat and Nutella. As I have said before, everything that mixed with nutella taste really good. I am a big fan of Nutella. So for a Nutella lovers,there’s no denying that this drink is a must. Like the marshmallow milkshake, this drink also served in a glass that shaped like a flower vase. Too bad the size is to small for me.
To sum it up, I personally think this place is a cozy place to hang out with friends or your loved one. I actually wanted to try the main course in here, but terrified with the idea that the main course will come out with the size like the other finger foods
