As it's a shabu-shabu resto, ordering a shabu-shabu set is a must.
Shabu Tei Special Seafood (Regular Set 120K): shitake mushroom, enoki mushroom, spring onion, carrot, beansprouts, tang o, chinese cabbage, radish, tofu, udon and steamed rice. To my disappointment, I find the set is much lesser than last time at Supermal Karawaci. Don't you guys have standard operation procedure on FnB management?
Osaka Mix Bento (68K): unagi kabayaki, fried salmon, tempura maki, salad, rice. Overall it's just so so. Nothing special. The unagi kabayaki is flat and tempura maki is a bit let down.
Tempura Somen (60K): It's a huge set menu consists of 5 items:
Tempura: prawn, carrot, eggplant, pumpkin and shitake.
Somen: somen in light soup of seaweed and leeks. The leeks are a plus point since they're so sweet and fresh.
Salad: cabbage, tomato, lettuce, cucumber coated with mayo.
Cawan Mushi: steamed egg garnished with shimeji and chopped shrimp.
Seaweed Soup: a plus point from Mal Taman Anggrek's Shabu Tei since I didn't get this at Supermal Karawaci's Shabu Tei.
Ice Tea (12K)
Overall dining at Mal Taman Anggrek's Shabu Tei is a bit let down. How come I get the feeling that they cut down on our portion since we mention we'll be using Bank Danamon Credit Card? However I must give credit to where it's due. Shabu Tei's shabu-shabu is my fave so far, and I can't ignore the fact that the resto is fully packed tonight. At certain time, the waiters are struggling to serve the dish on time. Keep up the good work, guys
Keep it up!
