WHAT I HAD: a lot, and will love to try a whole lot more, especially their sambal varieties.
Sambal Jamur (mushroom in chilli sauce 4k)
Mushrooms were chopped into tiny pieces and stir-fried in a spicy chilli sauce. The sambal was a very good kick! It was spicy and hot... quite hot... though I ordered a medium one. HUH-HAH!!!
The wader goreng was a favorite item. It seemed to run out very fast at our table The small fishes were crunchy and we couldn't stop dipping them into the sambal from Sambal Jamur. HOT HOT HOT!!!
Ayam Goreng (fried chicken, thigh 10k)
The crispy fried chicken was another hot item! Another item that disappeared rather quickly!
A brisket is usually a cut of meat from the lower chest or breast of an animal. This was the best chicken I've ever eaten - grilled, roasted, baked, whatever. Juicy, spicy, tender,
Lalapan is a Sundanese raw vegetable salad. It's made from any available edible young leaves. And our lalapan consisted of sliced cabbages, cucumbers, lettuce, yardlong beans, cassava leaves, and beansprouts.
Sapodilla Juice is a must!!! At first I didn't expect them to use fresh sapodilla, but it turnt out to be fresh Sapodilla Juice in the end!!! You could scoop slices of raw sapodilla at the bottom of the glass... to prove that they used the fresh ones. YUMMY!!!
Service is always friendly. My server was very nice and paid just the right amount of attention to me. The food arrived promptly after I put in my order.
It was such a full meal. We were hungry, but our stomach couldn't fill everything in! We were bursting! Every dish delectable. The palate is beyond satisfied. Great addition to the neighborhood... Can't wait to go back
