Eat Like A King in Dimsum King OK Apr 20, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Hotel Restaurant | Dim Sum | Halal

Just eat like a king at Dimsum King!

Fresh Milk Bao Bing B (Rp 22.000)

Tapi lumayan lah, lucu buat difoto.

Apple Milk Tea (Rp 19.000)
Suka banget sama minuman ini! Rasa apel nyampur sama susu ternyata enak juga. Gulanya bisa kita request sesuaiin mau seberapa banyak, tapi gua sendiri sih ga request, dan dikasihnya ga terlalu manis.

Mellow Milo (Rp 22.000)
Minuman milo, dikasih marshmallow, dan ditabur bubuk Milo. Sebenernya sih ngarepnya kayak dibikin kayak milkshake gitu, tapi ternyata nggak hehe, cuma Milo biasa.

It's located in pavilion in front of Mediterania 2 Apartment, little bit hiding if you don't pay attention actually. Find the Mediterania 2's gate across Central Park Mall, and you will see the signage.

Beef Popcorn Chicken. (Rp 38.000)
Juicy and well seasoned, but it would be perfect if you eat this one with chilli sauce in my opinion, depending on your taste palate. tongue

Crispy Baby Calamari (Rp 40.000)

The little bite size calamari comes in exotic spices! So crispy, and in my opinion no need to eat this one with chilli sauce anymore. Pick this one as many as you can, only a little bit portion is never enough. smile

Sausage and Egg Skillet (Rp 68.000)
An unique menu by Open Door, it's a sausage and egg with corn and cherry tomato with tomato gravy served with toasts. Well, you see the gravy is so red, but don't worry, this one is not as sour as you think, worth to try.

Vietnamese Chicken Chop. (Rp 60.000)
MY FAVORITE!!!! The first time I saw this didn't expected too much, I thought it just an ordinary rice with ordinary chicken meat. But this one is so delicious, the meat is juicy, tender, and well seasoned inside and outside with Vietnamese seasoning. For me, the seasoning is somehow kinda similar with red chicken feet you see in dimsum restaurant.

Kalbi Kimchi Burger (Rp 60.000)
The taste comes from kimchi is pretty sour, but the kalbi is undeniable, and it is perfect to eat since it is topped with half-done sunny side up. If you are adventurous person in seeking the unique taste of foods, try this!

Banana Pops
Dessert of the day, comes in mini size and three variants : popcorn, cheese, and nuts.

It's a place with nice interior to spend the night with your friends, a bottle of beer would be perfect I think. Nice interior and feels literally like your own home!

When we came, the place was so packed until we waited quiet long, and we couldn't get the best spot to take pictures inside. The place is quite small, the front section has high ceiling and giant mural of ice cream on its white brick wall, that's the most favorite spot to take photos for Instagram anyway HAHA. Every side of wall is full of mural in ice creams form, white bricks and little touch of exposed cement and woods with light tones makes the interior feels more casual. Hmm, I can't take more pictures of its interior, since it was super duper packed.

First thing first, you can choose the flavors you like for your ice cream :

Single flavor : cream soda, ovaltine, milky vanilla, strawberry candy, taro, or matcha.
Twisted flavor : taro + matcha, strawberry + ovaltine, or milky vanilla + cream soda.

Artsy Cone (Plain : Rp 25.000 / With topping : Rp 28.000)
Available in four variants of topping :

Shibuya or What?? : Kitkat green tea, mochi, and red bean.
Godzilla Super : Hershey's choco injection, almond crush, Ferrero Rocher.
Dreaming of Heaven : Strawberry injection, popping candy, fruit pebbles.
As Gold as You : Salted Caramel injection, caramel popcorn.

Parfait Menu (Rp 32.000)
The toppings for parfait:

Rocky Honey : fruit pebble, choco fudge, milo powder, Ferrero Rocher.
One Minute to Home : popcorn, honey star, salted caramel, mini Oreo.
Lick It Loops : fresh strawberry slice, mochi strawberry sauce, fruit pebbles, popping candy.
Clap and Glazed : corn flakes, crumble oreo, rainbow mochi, and pink Pocky.

We chose taro flavor for the ice cream with Clap and Glazed as the topping. We got the blue mochi, which at the first time didn't wanna eat that because of its color anyway haha, but once we bite it, we liked it since Nutella melted from inside the mochi.

Platter (Rp 55.000)

Our most favorite! We could taste all of the flavors in mini size, with various colors of ice cream cones and unpredictable toppings they gave. You should order this when you come to BC's Cone.

Since this post is about the ice cream, I would conclude all of those in points :

I love the ice cream as we can choose flavors we like and toppings more various, it's colorful! We can make some "art" by ourselves (helped by the ice cream "barista" anyway) from the ice cream. So rare I think to find the ice cream shop like this. But, be hurry in capturing your ice cream, the ice cream melts kinda fast than the other premium ice creams you may usually eat. To be honest, the ice cream's texture kinda airy. About the taste? I prefer taro.

About the cones, they are not too crispy. They three variants of cones : charcoal, rose, and bubble gum cones, which are different from their colors, but they have the same taste. If you ate the charcoal cone, make sure to clean your teeth then, haha.

That's all. Anyway, best of luck for BC's Cone. smile

Kazan Ramen originates from Japan, and its international branches are already in Thailand, Singapore, and Jakarta. Kazan? What's "kazan"? Actually it means volcano in Japanese, but I don't have any idea about why they named it "volcano."

We ordered their special ramens (I call them "special" since the other ramens aren't served in this way), and the waitress brought a tray and there were a bowl of rice, a stone bowl, broth in a pot, an empty bowl, and..... A RED METAL FUNNEL?

Then, the waitress demonstrated in front of us how to cook the ramen by ourselves. So, the first thing to do is pour the broth inside the stone bowl, she said not to touch the stone bowl since it was heated until 300' C. Put the red funnel on the stone bowl and wait until one minute, and your ramen is ready!

Look at the smoke, BOOM BOOM! It's like a volcano! So this is the reason why it's named "Kazan."

The ramens? SUPER HOT mwahahaha! We were confused at that time how to eat this super duper hot ramen, it was boiling in front of us. Psst, you can enjoy your ramen in different way by put your rice into the stone bowl, and the ramen turns into "zousui" or "broth rice."

Kazan Curry (Small - Rp 59.800; Large : Rp 79.800)
The noodle served is the thin one; I like this one as it's chewier than the other ramens. The pork meat is big in portion and the slice is thick. But unfortunately, the curry broth is little bit lacking in taste. Wait wait wait, I think the key of enjoying this ramen is waiting. At the first time I taste my Kazan Curry I didn't like it, it was quite bitter for me, but the more it was cooked inside the stone bowl, the curry was more tastier and finally I finished my ramen.

Kazan Shio (Small - Rp 59.800; Large : Rp 79.800)

This one is same with Kazan Curry, but the broth is different, it's savory, milky and salty. Tasted quiet good but somehow I tasted it so salty. Still, I like the consistency of the noodle. Anyway, I had an experiment with adding chilli oil and more salt soy sauce and it helped a lot.

I don't say the ramens were bad, it just didn't suit my palate. I saw a Japanese chef there so I think they serve the authentic ones. smile

I love the level of chewiness of the ramen noodle, and the portion is soooo BIG even I ordered the small one. The service was good! They are helping a lot. Kazan Ramen serves you another new experience of enjoying ramen. I think the ramens are so nice for your Instagram, they're unique!
