I think Solaria is one of the best value meal restaurant. Don’t you also think so? If you’re a regular employee on office, and this week is like the middle week of the month, and you’re running out of your salary *yeah, I kinda know that feeling back then when I was having an Internship. Solaria could be one of your best option if some colleagues ask you to join them to the mall, to have lunch together.
In other condition, if you’re just massively throw out your money (a.k.a shop hard) in the mall and have nothing left in your pocket, so Solaria also one of the best choice. In short, I personally think Solaria has an affordable price with a good taste. These are some dishes that I love to order in Solaria! Let’s see if we have the same taste ;)
Nasi Ayam Katsu Teriyaki - IDR 30,000

The portion is kinda huge. So you’ll get a big , deep fried chicken fillet topped with mayo and chilli sauce. You’ll also get salad as the dressing. Of course, the last one you’ll get rice. If you don’t want to eat rice, then you could change it with French Fries. Actually, there’s a French Fries with Ayam Katsu Teriyaki in the menu book. The taste is good enough with the price you paid.
Nasi Goreng Special - IDR 26,000

If you’re confused on what to order in the menu, then Nasi Goreng is probably the best choice. Well, you could never gone wrong with fried rice, right? Taste delicious and the portion is also big enough for a man.
Lemon Tea - IDR 12,000

The best drink to accompany both Nasi Ayam Katsu or even the Nasi Goreng Special is the Lemon Tea. However, don’t expect a pure Lemon Tea, because I think they use a Lemon Tea sachet, but garnish it with a slice of Lemon. A refreshing drink for your heavy meal.
Ambiance

There’s no music, it’s just a usual restaurant where you could eat fast and get back to work – or to shop.
Service

Don’t expect a great service where all the waiters will always be there for you. You need to thick the order by yourselves, and you must pay in advance for your meal. For me, it’s better just order once, so you don’t need to call the waiter again to add another order.
Stay awake for another food journey!

This traditional food stall on Tambak Bayan Street has been there since my mom and dad was still a little kid, trying to spell both of my grandparents name. So, you could imagine how long is the history of Nasi Campur Tambak Bayan, right?
It’s been a really long time since the last time I ate Nasi Campur Tambak Bayan. So that’s why I want to eat this right now, and I take away my order.
Nasi Tambak Bayan - IDR 21,000

I must admit that the price of Nasi Tambak Bayan is really pricey. For that IDR 21,000, don’t expect that you’ll get beef meat, or even chicken meat. That price is only for boiled egg, Balinese tofu, and some brown mee-hoon, and chilli sauce.

The main characteristic of Nasi Tambak Bayan is that brown mee-hoon. A lot of restaurant has been trying to “copy” that brown mee-hoon, but never taste as good as the ones that Nasi Tambak Bayan has. That Balinese tofu though, super good! I’m more into “Tempe girl” but I do love the taste of the tofu! In Indonesia, they said “Bumbunya benar-benar merasuk!”
Ambiance
The restaurant is kinda dark, because I think they’re facing directly to the sun. That's why the condition is like a backlight in camera. I don’t feel that comfortable in eating inside of the restaurant, so that’s why I prefer to take away my order. However, the condition of the restaurant was much better, considering in the past, they don’t have any restaurant, they just sell the Nasi Campur on the street. Two thumbs up, what a great accomplishment!
Service
Because this could be said as a traditional small restaurant near the street, so you can’t expect a great service. Sorry to say, but I think the service is a bit “Arrogant” in a some way. The waiter will not serve you with smile, and they just say “Ya, apa lagi?” then you just need to tell what exactly you want. Well, I think it’s because of years and years serving thousands or even millions type of customer. At some point, you could get bored and like to think nevermind, as long as they have a great dish, that’s all they need.
Stay awake for another food journey!

In love with the very cute design of this place and also their stunning menu, we decided to have a tea here.
Well, you know, because I love to ask question first before ordering something,
First, I have a chit chat with one of the waitress there, asking about their display menu in front of the shop, what cake will I get, can I choose the cake or not, and so on.
The waitress is really friendly. She always answer my “super lots and annoying” question with smile, hahahaha.
Guess what?
Lucky me, they’re having 50% discount for the high tea!!
(A package for 2 persons, consist of 1 tea kettle, 2 beautiful cups, and 3 traps of cakes as seen on my picture below)

After lots of question, in the end I said that
“Iya nih mbak, saya mau duduk di sofa yang itu tuh, tapi gimana ya itu masih ada orang. Kalau sy reserve terus ntar balik bisa ga ya?”
and then The waitress still answer nicely
“Oh, orang yang disana udah minta bill kok, kalau mau duduk aja dulu gpp, ntar dipindahin semuanya kalau orangnya sudah pergi.”
Whoa, really nice service!
Unfortunately, the waitress there is not so skilled in taking picture. I ask them to take a picture for us, but the picture isn’t that good. But it’s okay though.
Tea & cakes

Super love the Tea!
I ordered the Lady Alice Tea, and it smells really really nice with a nice taste also! You didn’t have to add sugar again into your tea, is already sweet (yes, as sweet as me ;p)

Cakes

The Red Velvet and the little sandwich is so-so, I found it weird when I ate the sandwich with green powder on top of it. I should have eat those first, haha.
I love the Lumpia (yes, this is not a cake, I know, but consider it as a cake right now) and the samosa. Really yum! A little bit oily though.
Also the chocolate and lemon pudding (or is it creme brûlée for the lemon one?) Cold and Yummy yummy!
The macaroons, apple pie are also tasty!

Concept
Totally in love with the concept of having a high tea!
Makes you feel like a lady ;)
Maybe Lady Alice should develop or dive into the concept deeper, because somehow it’s a high tea, yet it feels like a usual tea. It’s in the middle.
Ambiance
Because the location is outdoor, I don’t really like it. If the surroundings is garden, then I’d love to have it an outdoor.
But if it’s located inside the mall, it should be inside a room, surrounded by glass and without any other noise (Noise that come from the restaurant is okay, but at that time there’s a super loud music concert down the mall, and it’s super annoying)
Price
50% discount makes me said the price is worth it and really affordable!
You only need to pay for IDR 145,000 (Tax already included) for 2 persons!

Stay awake for another food journey!

I’ve been wanting to try Beatrice Quarter since a long time, especially when I see their hot chocolate completed with fluffy marshmallow all over my Instagram feed. Fortunately, lucky me, when I was visiting Kelapa Gading area and sleep over at my relatives, my lil sister told me that there’s 1 Beatrice Quarter restaurant in Kelapa Gading Walk. So in the cold, rainy day, finally I got a chance to visit them. It’s dessert time!

To my surprise, even though it’s not weekend, but Beatrice Quarter is kinda full of people. The customer are mostly women, because this place is super duper cute and so pinky! I bet most of the boys wouldn’t like to go here, because it’s too girly for them, hahaha. But I love this place!
After looking throughout the menu and – of course – searching for that cute hot chocolate with marshmallow topping, we ask several questions to the waiter before finally ordering a cake and that hot chocolate!
Tiramisu MilleFeuille - IDR 43,000

I could tell you that the millefeuille is super crunchy, and the cream blends really well with it. I can taste the coffee in the cream, but it’s not that strong. The vanilla ice cream is super yum! Well, I guess dessert could never gone wrong.
Hot Chocolate - IDR 28,000

As I’ve said, I’m dying to try that fluffy marshmallow!! It’s a really cute hot chocolate inside a super cute cup! I manage to take lots and lots of picture of this hot chocolate and upload it through Instagram (Biar #kekinian, iya nggak? tongue)
However, I think the taste of the chocolate is not strong enough. Maybe they could add more chocolate instead of the water. I expect it to be more strong, like a dark chocolate but not to bitter ;)
Ambiance

I think it’s one of the best choice if you want to have “Nongkrong Cantik” “Jumpa Cantik” well you name it ;)
However, that day was too crowded and the space between each table is not really that far. I think people beside us could hear what we’re talking about.
Service
The waiter is somehow attentive, and I could see they’re try hard to satisfy all of the customers.

Located inside Century Hotel, Dapour is one of restaurant hotel buffets that serves a delicious, yummy, Indonesian food that will not disappoint your taste. Not so long ago, I had a chance to try the Dapour restaurant with other foodies friends.

Per pax - start from IDR 218,000 (Buffet, All you can eat)

Dapour restaurant mainly served Indonesian Dessert. Food like Soto Mie, Sop Iga, Sate Ayam, even Gorengan like Tempe Mendoan and others could be find here. Yes, if you love Indonesian food, then this place will be like a paradise for you.
Even Dapour staffs there said that a lot of Regional Minister all over Indonesia wants to stay in Century Hotel just because of they love the food served in Dapour!
In this Ramadhan month, Dapour also serve a lot of traditional snacks and dessert such as Bubur Madura, Klepon, and other yummy Indonesian dessert.

My favorite menu here in Dapour is the Sop Iga! Trust me, the ribs are super duper tender. If you love to eat chilli, then you should request bunch of chilli to pour inside the soup.
My second favorite menu after Sop Iga is the Nasi Padang, especially the Rendang. It’s really well cook, super tender, and the gravy… nendang abis deh!!

My third one is the dessert. They offer lots of small Indonesian cakes like Martabak Manis, Pohong, - even there’s dodol - and I really love all of it.
Well, basically all of their menus are my favorite. Of course, because it’s Indonesian food! *Proud of Indonesia*

Ambiance
It’s so elegant and lavish inside Dapour. I really love to enjoy my food with this kind of ambiance. It makes me enjoy the food even more. If you’re a smoker, then you could eat your meal peacefully in the bar just next to Dapour restaurant. The lighting is awesome, and they also offers range of mocktails, cocktails, and other kinds of beverages. Just tell the barista what do you want ;)
The unique thing about Dapour, they’ll rotate the Indonesian menus so the customer wouldn’t get bored. For example, this week theme is Makassar Food. Then, the week after the theme might be about Betawi Food, and so on, and so on. I just wish I could try their Makassar Food, especially my favorite dessert, Es Palu Butung!

Stay awake for another food journey!
