Was craving for meat and looking for value for money steak lol

Look around the web and stumble upon this restaurant (it's different from steak hotel by holycow btw). I didn't try their so called wagyu steak, but I get their bigbites steak which is a 400gr ribeye steak cooked to medium rare.

The meat came out and it was pretty good in size, but I think they tried too much on the seasoning since it came out really oily (probably that's their secret recipe?), meat was served quite hot (hotter than a medium rare steak should be), the edge was a bit hard as it was actually cooked to medium-well in my opinion, the medium rare was more at the middle section of the meat.

Steak taste was....meat...it's not exactly what I call a juicy and tasty steak, but it's just plain meat to me, not exactly what I would called us prime, angus or wagyu level meat

My steak came with french fries and sauteed long beans, which tasted normal as well. Interesting thing is that they used creamy sauce for their mushroom sauce which tasted like carbonara's / di alfredo creamy sauce (indonesian/non-italian creamy carbonara).

The mushroom sauce tasted good, but not exactly a perfect match for the steak.

It is not too expensive, considered I spent around 16-17usd for my big bites + drink.

Place is pretty small, didn't pay much attention to details, but it's pretty decent, nothing fancy and outstanding. Service was normal as well. I was there around 1.30 pm and it wasn't that crowded, but I hear they've very crowded during dinner that you have to queue...

I don't think I'll visit again anytime soon, but it would be on my list when I'm craving for a 400gr meat for less than 20 USD, I'll just need to compare this to another restaurant similar to this restaurant (they used to be the same restaurant) in quality which has a 400gr steak as well (not ribeye cut though).

I had a lunch there last month. The food was okay, wanted to try the pork knuckle but since I didn't pre-order them 3 hours before I come, I couldn't try them.

Decided to try their pork chop which was excellent, sausages was great and tried my friends tartar steak which was pretty good as well.

Decoration was okay, waitresses were quite attentive, and it wasn't crowded when we had lunch so I don't know how's the service when it's crowded.

i would prefer die stube than paulaner in GI for the food. Will definitely come back to try their pork knuckle when I'm craving for one smile
