I'm going to make a review about one of the hippest bubble drink brand in J-town right now, say hi to Calais Tea (if you haven't heard of it). Like most of you can recall, I am a huge and loyal fan of bubble drinks and I've tried most of the bubble drinks, sometimes I imagine how many bubbles have I consumed. Aside from all the negatives I watched and heard from the news, most of the times I'm still craving for these boba drinks.

It's like going to the mall and when you realize you didn't buy bubble drinks, it's something you're gonna regret. Bubble drinks certainly make me happy!!!

Calais Tea already has 4 outlets in Jakarta (Mall Taman Anggrek, Central Park, Kuningan City, Mall Kelapa Gading) and overall 12 outlets all over Indonesia. The outlet I'm going to be reviewing to you all right now is the outlet in Mall Taman Anggrek.

First of all, the outlet itself is very eyecatching because it is very colorful and you'll find paintings all over the outlet's wall, and of course the brand itself is very famous for its signature mustache logo

Order of the day:
Rose Milk Tea with original bubble (RECOMMENDED)

This is my recommendation, you'll find a huge hint of rose scent and it actually comes from real roses and they also put in real rose flowers inside.

Here's what I love about Calais drinks, especially surprises you're going to find behind the cup. I love how they managed to write very good quotes at the back of the cup
and FYI, they are all handwritten!!! Hardwork: check.

This is delicious, but this is not much different with ones I've tried from different brands and still, Rose Milk Tea over Taro Milk Tea! Their rose milk tea is the bomb!

Calais Tea outlet in MTA is very tiny and petite. I think it will only fit 15 people maximum, but that's okay since some people prefer to take away their beverages. Go here and enjoy their drinks and do remember...

Coffee will always own a special place in my heart and that's why I always love spending time finding the greatest coffee shops around Indonesia (especially: Jakarta) that come along with my standards.

A few days ago I went to this fresh coffee house in Pantai Indah Kapuk and I think I just fall in love again.

Say hi to COFFEEBAR Pantai Indah Kapuk!

This place is located at the Rukan Crown Golf area, that will make it easier to be found because it's located at the same area as Ikkudo Ichi and Carnivor BBQ Specialist. It is not slightly eye catching but I love how they designed the coffee house to be very minimalist, but in the same time that's how a modern coffee shop should look like according to me.

I would most likely not saying that I love something if I don't love the main star, in this case: THE COFFEE itself. They also serve cakes but it's very limited and sometimes even none (sold out).

In my opinion, I think Coffeebar offers you selection of great coffees starting from the classic to their signature variation.

Iced Caramel Macchiato

Taste? Strong. I think this is a different way to have Iced Caramel Macchiato. If you're used to the brand 'x' which is so popular for its Caramel Macchiato, you'll find this stronger but maybe you'll end up loving or disliking it more, I see myself having no problem. I love coffees, what to say?? . The caramel sauce and syrup they're using is also gorgeous. My judgement's based on how I taste the coffee's element one by one, let's just call it my habit, and I bet some of you also do the same thing instead of mixing everything together ;).

Iced Cappuccino

Decent. Enough said. Anyway the presentation is not common, I love their colors, sometimes you have your cappuccino already mixed when it's being served to you and this one is 'natural beauty' LOL.

So I have a new coffee shop crush, it is Djournal Coffee from Ismaya Group.

I've been anticipating about this coffee shop release in Grand Indonesia because I often go to Grand Indonesia (literally at least once every week) and everytime I pass this, I notice the construction is getting better and better, and as what I get to experience for myself last week, I think I just fell in love <3.

I love the atmosphere of this coffee shop! Maybe I was a little carried away by the rain since it was raining pretty mild and it tends to be a little cold inside and I was single (NOT RELEVANT!) aaaa..no, I'm joking. Seriously this place gets kinda cold during the night and I love cold places so I have no problem. It's just better to be in a cold place rather than a hot place.

The difference between the the outlet here and the one in SMS 2 is slightly the area, I personally think the SMS2's outlet is the bigger one, but overall I find the Grand Indonesia outlet more comfortable to stay around, it's just the perfect size, they play nice musics and seriously, I love a coffee shop that's surrounded by the smell of brewed coffee, it's just amazing and addicting. I also love the fact that this coffee shop in Grand Indonesia is more private-feeling rather than the one in SMS 2 which seems like more opened.

Anyway, They have the cutest menu design ever. Almost the same concept of Anomali's only with a touch of their creativity.

First of all, let me just tell you that THEY HAVE DROP DEAD GORGEOUS COFFEE. Slightly a bit strong in taste comparing to the brand 'x' I also do love (you know what I mean) and I think the champion for the night was the one and only Hazelnut Nutella Cake. During my visit to the SMS2's outlet, I also ordered the Nutella Cake, only different looking and taste. This one was titled with additional word of "Hazelnut" but if you ever tried the one is SMS2, it's not much different, almost the same.

I thought the texture on top of the cake surface is a chocolate powder, but it's totally a cripsy layer of something I'm not sure I can't explain, it's like a very thin crispy chocolate layer that melts in your mouth. What a genius!

Rich glimpse of delicious caramel sauce all over your caramel macchiato is such a genius one way guilty pleasure.

If you ask me what coffee to recommend having here, I would really recommend this over the Caramel Macchiato. I personally like this better than the CM, it's strong but not overpowering (since not everyone like very strong coffees) and this one is generally more friendly, sweeter and different .

For those three treats, we spent around IDR 119k nett, a pretty good deal for an amazing coffee experience.

Djournal Coffee is certainly not a new coffee shop to underestimate, and they don't sell "outer look/physical appearance" you might probably fall in love with this coffee shop like me ).

I'm going to review this place called "Rati-Rati" which again and again located at Pantai Indah Kapuk. If you're not familiar with this, I really hope after you read this review, you'll gain a vision that something that doesn't have that much publication sometimes hide the best treasures. That's exactly the condition of this cafe. I'm going to tell you upfront that THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE YOUR DESSERT! Period! Why is that? I'm going to tell you more... Keep on reading.

First things first, this place has been almost a year in Pantai Indah Kapuk and originally came from Japan (they already had five outlets back in Japan), but I haven't really heard people talked about it, and the location itself is pretty hard to be found because it's barely seen, and it also has tall trees beside it, the place is so pretite: pretty and petite.

Once you step inside this pretty petite cafe, you'll be amazed on how colorful the shop is, you'll see a lot of colorful macaroons (might be artificial) on a huge macaroon tree and the little macaroon trees, it's just so pretty looking, they also sell cookies, cupcakes and whole round cakes here, everything is based on your own preference, you want it, they serve it for you.

The cakes here are mostly roll cakes, that's their speciality but don't worry because like I said before, you can custom your choice of cakes, if you want to custom your birthday cake and make a whole round instead of a roll, they can make it for you, just give the directions and they'll try their best.

So, what did I have yesterday? My eyes got "hurt" by this pretty Blueberry Roll Cake and their Chocolate Roll Cake, they are too beautiful and you almost feel sorry to have a bite.

If you happen to look closely, you'll see that the chocolate cake has this white to black gradation, I don't know how to create that color and that's obvioulsy not sugar because I tried to touch and smudge but it looks like the white is combined.

and read this one, I'm going to bold it... if you dine-in here, you'll get FREE ONE SCOOP OF ICE CREAM accompanying your beautiful choice of roll cakes! Such an amazing deal.

FYI, they have the most insane Matcha Ice Cream, well you have probably tasted this somewhere and I wonder where to find it, feel free to tell me puhleaseeee!

Blueberry Roll Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream

Drenched in blueberry fantasy. That's probably what the impression that you're going to have after the first bite of this delicious cake, I'm sorry for the abuse of the word "pretty" and "gorgeous" but they really are! The roll cake is so moist and fluffy and they made the most incredible blueberry cream fill ever, you almost feel like you're eating rainbow (if you know how it feels).

The blueberry jam actually reminds me of a blueberry frutella candy and who doesn't love frutella?! Daebak.

If you see the photo below, don't get the crunchy crumbs mistaken for corn flakes? I was, but after a try, it's actually a destroyed cripsy crepe layer, totally an awesome texture combination, remember, contrast in a food is important!

Chocolate Roll Cake (using Belgian chocolate)

I am still amazed by the beautiful gradation color on top of the chocolate roll cake layer, it's so genius, and another genius thing: Chocolate roll cake with Matcha Ice Cream. Whoever say matcha doesn't fit with chooclate is a total joke.

I fell in love deeper with the blueberry roll cake, this is also great but it's chocolate and you know how chocolate tastes like even after creations, it still remains the good old chocolate and on the other hand, the blueberry roll cake is a surprise, but maybe for some people it's a little too sweet.

Iced Cappucinno

They also serve this great cappuccino, it's totally not bad and worth your try, the espresso is a little strong tho.

Special thanks for Rati-Rati for giving me free samples of the other cakes available at the display, such kind people. The left one is Chocolate Hazelnut Roll Cake and the right one is the Blueberry Cheese Roll Cake. I prefer the Chocolate Hazelnut Roll Cake because it tastes so yum and you can feel the hazelnut and chocolate, while the right one, after two bites, it's cheesy but it's not very blueberry, not that it's not good, I don't think there's even a bad cake served here, they're all awesome, but still, there are some which are closer to your heart.

Stop wondering about Rati-Rati and drive by here, I assume that you are probably mouthwatering right now, well, you should!!! It's a reasonable price for such cakes and since it's delicious. You'll find cakes much more expensive somewhere but doesn't really compromise your expectation, and this might be the one for you <3. Mostly cakes here are retailed for IDR 29.000. I wonder why most Japanese cake stroes sell their cakes for IDR 29.000, is 29 the lucky number?

Last week I went to have dinner with my bestfriends at Pantai Indah Kapuk. The original plan is that we're going to have ramen as dinner, but as we went to two ramen houses, all sold out. It was crazy and plus, it was such a heavy traffic jam at PIK. Never experienced PIK like that before.

So we decided to try the most beautiful Fish N Co yet, the one at Pantai Indah Kapuk. I love the decoration of the restaurant, technically it's not very big, but the interior is designed to be minimalist...gorgeous, filled with classic ornaments, pretty artificial florals and wood domination.

Inside you'll find three different restaurants in one building, the first you're going to see once you step inside is Fish & Co and there are a bakery called "Brunch" just across Fish & Co and other restaurants located one floor above. The restaurant was actually very cool because you it has elevator inside and it's totally accessible .

You're not going to Fish n Co and physically there until your own spirit tastes the beautiful Fish and Chips, I order the nothing-but-the-best "The Best Fish and Chips In Town". It was such a treats, hands down to the best fish and chips ever in life. So far nothing has ever beaten Fish & Co for its fish and chips.

I'm just telling not to be surprised if you see that the prices here are slightly a bit expensive than the oher outlets, I don't want to assume anything, it might be internal and beside, if you're still blessed and fortunate enough to still have their fabulous fish and chips, let's just put it aside. Here is retailed for IDR 79.000 (exlude tax).

This one is a little unique because I've never tried this before and turns out it's quite good, but if you are not a big fan of fish wish strong taste and smell, I don't recommend you this. It's very strong but I don't have any problem since I love seafood to death :9. I have aways wanted to travel the universe to find the best seafood spread all over the world.

We had great meals for dinner.
