Who does fancy hot shabu-shabu? I recently visited Dolar Shop in Gajah Mada a shabu-shabu house which is originated from Macao. Dolar Shop is actually a franchise and the Dolar Shop here is the first outlet outside the land of China.
In Dolar Shop, there are plenty of food to be chosen and most are home-made. You can find hand-made beef meatballs, fish meatballs, squid meatballs, prawn meatballs and even hand-made noodles. There are also good quality Australian beef, lamb, seafood, oyster mushroom, assorted vegetables, and more others. For the soups, there are 9 types of soup to choose from. Oh, did I tell you that there is a bar where you can pick so many sauces to accompany your food?
Interior-wise, Dolar Shop tries to focus more on bring out the modern and elegant dining hall. The dining hall is spacious, equipped with comfortable sofas and big windows to make sure that the hall receives a decent amount of natural day light.
Serving so many choices of food with price ranging from IDR 24k - IDR 100k, they have some set menu with price ranging from IDR 135k - IDR 175k to choose from.
We got to enjoy Set Lunch C and it was a good value for money set!
Set Lunch C (IDR 175 k++)
- Mix Ball
- Special Mixed Beef
- Fish Fillet (Dori)
- Mix Tofu
- Oyster Mushroom
- Mix Vegetable
- Fresh Egg
- Handmade Noodle / Steamed Rice
- Iced Tea / Hot Tea
Our hot pot experience was pretty satisfying. Given a chance to try the original soup, we think it's the best kind of soup to accomodate as a lighter neutral base in order to bring out more rich flavours from the other ingredients that we put inside the pot. I like the overall elements but let me point out two notable ingredients that brings out the best of this experience, which were the Australian beef and homemade noodle!
The beef provided was in good quality which had this marble texture that after a short 30 second dip into the hot pot, it was already cooked nicely which resulted in a tender texture. Personal tips, 30 seconds to 1 minute is pretty much the perfect cooking time for these fine thin slices of gorgeous beef.
The handmade noodle was my perfect kind of noodle. It had that good lamian quality and the texture was sorta bouncy, which I loved!
Other than that, everything else was pretty okay and the experience dining here was positive.
To sum up, Dolar Shop is good place to enjoy shabu-shabu with your family and friends. The place itself does resemble more of a family place. I think it would be quite nice to have a family gathering or celebration in Dolar Shop. After all, shabu-shabu is always fun when enjoyed with your dearest ones. ;)

Hi people, I'm back for OpenRice gathering and this time, it's Samy's Curry
which is located in Pacific Place
. This gathering was held on November 30th, 2012 and it was Friday, plus it was raining cats and dogs for that moment and some invitees were having a hard time reaching Pacific Place, so the gathering started a bit late. But the fun began long before it started. OpenRice crew had arrived early and they're so ready to have some fun.
Samy's Curry is located on the 5th floor and it has two seating areas, the one near the kitchen and another one near the aisle outside. Both are indoor of course. =D You can easily spot this diner since it has this authentic setting for the facade and interior, dominated with green-ish color.
The staffs here were extremely nice and friendly, yet polite. They seriously gave the best service to customers, as I think the real Indian is famous for and would do. When I arrived, OpenRice crew, Dita and Usni had asked me to order some drinks. And I ordered their recommended Samy's Lime Juice for refreshment. We even got to have some bites with their Indian Prata. After the gathering started, more dishes were served and everything just seemed delish! With lots of dishes, it certainly was a feast as if to celebrate a good event. But then again, gathering like this is always a good event. =) I will explain about the dishes later below, and I won't promise a detailed explaination (since I am not very familiar with Indian Cuisine), but I'll promise to try my best, as always.
For your information, Samy's Curry serves only Indian cuisine, and it's actually from Singapore. As I know it, Singapore is quite famous for the Indian food and I just found out that Samy's Curry (Singapore) was said to be the fifth best Indian Restaurant in Singapore as stated by http://travel.cnn.com in one of their article (11/10/2011).
Okay, enough for my words. Guess you guys might be more interested in seeing the pictures and some explanation about the food.
Since I can only post 8 images here, I will post some pictures from the best (according to me) dishes only.
~ Samy's Lime Juice ~
Price: IDR 18 k
As the name suggest, it's a fresh lime juice. It's mostly made from lime (obviously). It's nice and simply refreshing with a taste of sourness, and only a hint of sweetness. For me, it's perfect, for not being over-sour and the sweet-ish after taste made it favorable.
~ Teh Tarik ~
Price: IDR 15.9 k
I did have a glass of cold Teh Tarik too, and to be honest, it wasn't the best Teh Tarik, but it's still quite good. It lacked the boldness of the tea flavor.
~ Briyani Rice ~
Price: IDR 12 k/portion
I didn't include this picture because the picture I took doesn't look too appealing, but frankly, the Briyani Rice was delicious. Briyani Rice is actually a kind of Indian rice cooked with a lot of spices to perfection. as the result, Briyani Rice is very flavorful, and in some cases, often too flavorful. But in Samy's Curry, I got to say that they cooked it nicely, and simply not overdid it. Love it.
~ Masala Chicken ~
Price: IDR 16 k/piece
Masala Chicken is not a chicken that brings 'trouble'. *uhuk, joking*
But actually, it's like a thick curry chicken, but with hot spices that will rock your mouth, tongue and throat. It's very famous among Indian food lovers. In Samy's Curry, this dish was awesome, definitely one of the best. I loved it so much, for its tenderness, and its spiciness. The spiciness was perfect, and it's not unbearable. ;)
~ Chicken Tikka ~
Price: IDR 30 k (Small)
Chicken Tikka (Tikka is a name of a friend
) is one of the great dishes too. It's a kind of boneless chicken, cooked with spices and then, crispy fried. It has this red-ish color, perhaps coming from the spices. The taste was quite good, and it wasn't very spicy. It's light and quite tender, and I think it wasn't crispy as promised. It would be much better if it's crispy.
~ Mysore Mutton ~
Price: IDR 35 k (Small)
This dish consists of marinated chunks of lamb that cooked in Indian styles. It's rich in spices and looked similar to 'serondeng'. But it tasted delicious. The mutton (lamb) was very good, tender and so flavorful. When you have a bite, you'll taste the spices in the mutton, causing an orgasmic sensation.
~ Curry Mutton ~
Price: IDR 40 k (Small)
Again with the mutton! But this time, it's back with the nature, curry! Imagine juicy and tender lamb cubes and flooded in authentic Indian curry. One word, and it's delectable! Yes, the not-overwhelming-curry is perfectly suitable for the lamb cubes and I'd really recommend this dish to all food lovers! Recommended!
~ Cauliflower Sixty-Five ~
Price: IDR 15 k (Small)
This dish is quite good. It's healthy, but it's cooked in a similar method with Chicken Tikka. But this cauliflower was crunchier, and it was good. It's also suitable for children who don't like vegetables.
~ Fish Head Curry ~
Price: IDR 115k/portion (Small)
This is the signature dish in Samy's Curry. A big Angkoli (better known as White Snapper) fish head in a pool of curry, prepared by the Master Chef in authentic style. Since I'm not a big fan of Fish Head (or anything's head for that matter), I couldn't enjoy this dish. All I could enjoy is the curry, which was quite good when I tasted it with my Briyani Rice. It looked awesome though. It's just not for me.
~ Martabak ~
Price: IDR 35 k to IDR 45 k (Small)
I'm not sure what Martabak this was, but I really should say that the martabak was delicious. It was quite thick, full of meat, and it's very good. The flavor was rich and not overwhelming, and it could simply become one of the best Martabak ever. However, it's not too crispy. If only they could make it crispier, again, this would simply be the best Martabak.
~ Egg Cheese Prata ~
Price: IDR 28 k
I'm not too sure about this since I didn't get a taste at all for this dish, but when I asked my friends and fellow attendees about the taste, they said it was quite good, full of cheese and mayo. Btw, if your order this, you can always ask the staff to write something on it.
~ Basket of Papadum ~
This was the snack of the day. It is crispy fried crackers, resembles to 'Opak', but only thinner.
Other than those above, there were many other Prata dishes too but I couldn't put all the pictures here.
Well, if you ask me, I'd definitely say that Samy's Curry is a great Indian Restaurant. There are many stereotypes about Indian cuisine, such as the overwhelming flavor, the weird spices, and etc, but I really think you might have a change of thought once you come to Samy's Curry and taste the food yourselves. That's why, give Samy's Curry a chance and you'll know better. The quote, "Don't judge something unless you know them" applied here.
Thank you Samy's Curry and OpenRice for inviting me to have a taste of exotic Indian Cuisine. I had a good dinner and I'd be happy to come back again. NB. Thank you Usni for borrowing me her Camera. All the pictures here were taken using Nikon D60. ;)

Hey folks! About weeks ago I went to join OpenRice Gathering
at one restaurant specializes in serving AYCE Dimsum! It's Dragon Court
, and it's located inside The Media Hotel & Towers
. The gathering was started quite early, as around 11, all of us had got to eat and enjoy lots of Dimsum.
Let's have some talks about Dimsum first. Even though I'm sure most of you know what is Dimsum, I feel like explaining it. Dimsum refers to a style of Chinese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. You can meet Dimsum in a lot of Chinese Restaurants, and perhaps some of them only serve Dimsum in the morning. Dimsum is actually the kind of food which is perfect for family breakfast. The most well-known Dimsum perhaps goes to Bakpao or some people might know as Bun. Other famous dimsums might be Siomay and Hakau, and both are usually made from prawns. I personally have a thing with Dimsum, especially with Chasiu Bun, Siomay and Fried Wonton with Mayo. Gladly, Dragon Court served all those three. ;)
In case if you have no idea about Dragon Court, I should brief you in more detailed explanation.
From the press release, Dragon Court visualized itself as a stylish Chinese-themed restaurant featuring authentic delectable Chinese gourmet, nice ambiance and excellent service. As I could see myself there, Dragon Court seemed to be serious about their statement. They certainly offer a wide variant of Chinese delicacies, along with the All You Can Eat Dimsum offer (only for weekend). The ambiance of their room is nice and comfortable with 150 seating capacity. Private rooms are available too for customers. As for the service, it was more than enough attention for the day. The waiters were all so caring and polite, and not to mention the friendly manager.
Okay, let's go to the report for the gathering. At first, before we started eating, the host of OpenRice
, Dita, welcomed us. Right after that, the manager explained to us about Dragon Court and some of the menus on the table. It was nice seeing all the Dimsum inside the baskets on the table, tempting us to grab a bite. But I reminded myself to behave and let the introduction session finished.
This All You Can Eat Dimsum
offer is only available every weekend
(8 am to 2 pm), and all you have to pay for the complete goodness is IDR 69.9 k
. With reasonable price yet extensive choices of Dimsum, you don't have to worry about the quality. All the ingredients are fresh, including prawns, chickens, and stuff. Good news for Pork Lovers! Actually Dragon Court all this time does only serve Halal Dimsum. But it was said that in December, they will start providing Pork Dimsum on request
such as Paikut
and Shanghai Dumpling Pork
, considering the popular demand by their loyal customers. But do not worry! For Muslim, you can still enjoy the food here safely since Dragon Court will separate the tools used for the Pork-based Dimsum.
Oh yeah, Dragon Court also serves Ala Carte
. You can find Roasted Duck, Chicken Kung Pao Style, Comeo Garlic, Lamb Fried Rice, Fried Rice with Salty Fish, Shrimp Utter Crumb
and a lot of other delicious dishes.
Let's check some of the dishes here.Clockwise from top left.
~ Kaki Ayam Lada Hitam ~
I did not try this one, but hearing from other attendees, it was quite nice!
~ Sayap Ayam ~
This steamed chicken wings were surprisingly good. It looked quite pale and unappealing, but I was wrong. The chicken wings' meat was so tender, it almost felt too easy to chew in the mouth. It was cooked nicely with light flavor.
~ Lo Mai Kai ~
Lo Mai Kai is steamed sticky rice with chicken in lotus leaf wrap. Inside it, you can find some diced chicken and mushroom. It was only an okay as the flavor was a bit dull.
~ Lumpia Kulita Tahu Saus Tiram (Steamed) ~
This dimsum was one of the favorites. It was quite good, with nice oyster sauce. There was also the fried version of these. Clockwise from top left.
~ Siomay Tahu ~
I'm not sure this is the name, but the taste of this meatball-look-alike was quite nice. The texture was quite fluffy and easy to bite. The special Dragon Court sauce really complemented the meatball.
~ Pangsit Beijing ~
This dumpling was quite nice, as I should actually say that all the dumpling family Dragon Court served were delicious.
~ Siomay ~
The siomay was really good as I could really taste the tender and nice prawns inside. I love this one!
~ Wonton Soup ~
This was another dimsum that I rarely saw before. It was a bowl of dumpling soup. The soup was a bit plain but the dumpling was good and tender.Clockwise from top left.
~ Lumpia Kulit Tahu (Fried) ~
It's time for fried delicacies! Lumpia Kulit Tahu was a good choice! The inside was very good with nice flavor. The outer layer was almost crunchy. I always love lumpia kulit tahu!
~ Pangsit with Mayonnaise ~
Hail to the king! This fried dumpling was the winner of the day! It was simply delectable, crunchy on the outside, and freshly cooked in the inside with good prawns! The best part went to dipping it in the mayonnaise and eating it in a bite! :9
~ Fried Rice and other fried stuff ~
I personally dislike the fried rice as it was a bit too bland. I think that they have to cook better fried rice with bolder flavor, maybe with some 'terasi' (just an idea) at least to make it more likable. The other fried stuff wasn't really good too, as I preferred the fried Dimsum with much better taste.
~ Spring Rolls ~
Since I never like spring rolls, I took a bite and left the rest. I just could not point out the reason why I dislike Spring Rolls. Clockwise from top left.
~ Roasted Chicken with Dragon Court S The auce ~
Roasted Chicken was a bit overcooked I think. But I loved the taste and the sauce. It was quite nice.
~ Bakpao ~
There were several Bakpao available for us in the heating rack. I took each of them and tried the Chasiu Bun. It was a bit dry and the Chasiu wasn't as expected. I still love it though.
~ Strawberry Cakes ~
Love these mini cakes! The cakes were covered with strawberry cream, and it was so flavorful. The texture of the cake itself was pretty soft.
~ Porridge Toppings ~
There were a lot of toppings that you can add to your porridge. You can choose or you can just add all of them!
~ Buffet ~
There were a lot of other choices to try here, but I focused myself on their dimsum, so I didn't try all of them.
~ Fruits ~
Fresh Fruits as desserts never went wrong! It's a perfect closing for full belly.
~ My Porridge Creation ~
Love the porridge as I could add as many toppings as I wanted. The toppings were so good!
~ Es Buah ~
This one was truly refreshing. I loved it and I finished two full bowls of it!
Last but not least, Hakau! I almost forgot about this. The Hakau was awesome! It was so good and the prawns inside were so nice! From this dish, I knew exactly why they always emphasized the freshness of their dishes!
All I should say is that I do enjoy the Dimsum here. The freshness of the ingredients and the good authentic Dimsum are the reasons I will come back to this place. Not to mention the affordable price too!
If you're interested in enjoying this AYCE Dimsum
, make sure to come here only at the weekend. It includes Saturday and Sunday. In addition, they only have this offer for the morning to afternoon, precisely from 8 am to 2 pm. They will open again at night but serving only Ala Carte for dearest customers. I haven't tried any of the ala carte and I wonder how it might taste. Hopefully I'll get the chance to try their Ala Carte menu as from what I heard, they were promoting the 'Orange Republic

Okay, I have something new to share. Well, honestly I don’t know whether it’s entirely new or not, but it’s a new thing for me though. Just a new complex away, I found an interesting venue promoting their signature noodles, Makan @ Daha
. Noodle is nothing new, but what about Rainbow Noodle? Yep, you probably have the same impression as me the first time I saw the banner. I felt that it was good to follow trend, knowing Rainbow stuff had been quite a fuzz over everything. But noodle rainbow wasn’t exactly what people expected to join the trend right? Haha. Eventually, I was still curious to know, and ended up going there last night.
If you know where Ninotchka is, you can easily find Makan @ Daha. It’s just a couple shop houses away. From the outside, Makan @ Daha looks simple and quite humble. It has two dining areas, indoor and outdoor. Well, the outdoor is pretty limited though, with only 2 tables available. I don't think it's very comfortable either unless if the weather is cloudy and windy. I'm never really a type of person who loves outdoor area so much. haha. There’s also a traditional noodle cart located outside with colorful little lamps. For me, I really think it's a bit unnecessary, for it looks a bit out of place. Well, the concept of this place is some sort of cafe right afterall, so I won't expect seeing a cart here.
As for the inside, the place is still simple, but kinda warm. The ambiance is good, and the place was minimalist decoration. The place is suitable for family-dinner I think.
First thing after picking up my seat, I ordered a bowl of Rainbow Noodle. They have a couple of choices for the topping though. But I ordered the complete one. It looked tempting.
Apparently rainbow noodle is 3-color-noodle (yellow, green and purple), but it’s made with natural ingredients. The colors come from vegetables. That’s why you don’t have to worry about health issue. Makan @ Daha concerns about health issue too, that's why they always try to serve food with good ingredients. But nowadays, health issue is really important right, thus it can be a great opportunity to introduce a healthy delicacies without sacrificing the taste.
My sister ordered their Ayam Penyet. Yes, they have a lot to offer. Not only noodles, they also serve dishes such as Chicken, Duck, Fish, Squid, and even Japanese food! Prices vary from IDR 15 k – IDR 60 k.
For food packages, prices vary from IDR 23 k – IDR 30 k.
For drinks, prices vary from IDR 1 k – IDR 12 k.
Okay, let’s check it out!
~ Mie Ayam Rica Komplit ~
Price: IDR 21 k
The name is quite usual, but it comes with 3-color-noodle. That’s what make it special. Makan @ Daha really promotes the Rainbow Noodle here. It is indeed their best asset. Colors aside, the texture of the noodle was nice, with “mie keriting” characteristic. For the colors, there’s no specific taste for each color apparently, it's just a gimmick. The topping itself, was nothing special I guess. It’s “ayam rica-rica” and boiled vegetable. Well, for rica-rica, I first thought it would be spicy. It turned out that it’s not spicy at all. I should say that the noodle was a bit too simple, and too ordinary. They should actually develop the topping too, to make it different than the usual one. If they can make a whole different kind of noodle, they might be successful in the business. But overall, the taste was quite good, but it’s nothing uncommon.
Oh yeah, since I ordered the complete one, I got 2 pieces dumpling and 1 piece of beef meatball. The meatball was good, and the dumplings were even better. It tasted light, delicious, and the dumpling outer layer was so soft. The extra stuff really helped enhancing my judgment for the overall dish.
~ Paket Ayam Penyet ~
Price: IDR 25 k
This package includes a fried chicken, “sambal penyet”, a choice of fried Tempe or Tahu, steamed rice, and “sayur asem”. When it was served, the “sambal penyet” was too little. Then my sis asked for more, and the waiter gave us more. The fried chicken was great, and it’s nicely fried. It’s a bit crispy on the outer layer, and it went well with the “sambal penyet”. The "sambal penyet" wasn't too spicy though, and it lacked something, which I couldn't figure out. The fried tempe was quite crunchy as well and it was quite enjoyable. For the “sayur asem”, it suited my taste. It’s a bit sour and the soup was thick with nice flavor. To compare it with the price, I think it's quite good. Besides Ayam Penyet, they have some others, and I will try them one by one later.
For drink, I ordered simple stuff, Tea. But they actually have special drinks too, for instance, Latte.
My impression for Makan @ Daha is mostly positive, except for the fact, “Mie Rainbow” wasn’t exactly as I expected. The prices are decent and the place is comfortable. If you feel like having good dinner with family, I think you can put Makan @ Daha in your list. Especially for people who live around this area. Nowadays, the area around my place seems to be establishing a lot of new venues. New restaurants and cafes are opening up and I think soon, my complex and its neighbors will be surrounded by the vast number of them. There is a plus and a minus for everything, and this included. But for restaurants and cafes, they might have a big chance to show what they have to people around here. So, I just want to say that Makan @ Daha has the opportunity to attract visitors, to be different. And all it needs is innovation, so that they can stand out among competitors.
FYI, Makan @ Daha is not a new brand at all. It’s opened in 1992, and they have a lot of branches around Java. From BSD, Kemanggisan, Magelang and even Salatiga. I think some people might have heard their name, and it could become a strength too for them. I should really come back again to try their other offers and I'm sure I won't be disappointed. You guys have to come and try to if you have the time, or if you happen to visit this area.
Feel free to drop by here and have your dinner. Oh, have I told you that they have free wifi connection too? Makan @ Daha

Next here, I will be writing about another venue around my complex. It’s called Kopi Gue
, a small place with a very simple concept. I was so hungry today, then I ended up visiting this place. I know that there are a lot of eateries around my complex, Taman Palem Lestari. But to find one after 10 at night, it might need extra effort.
Kopi Gue, similar to its name, it sells traditional coffee for coffee lovers. Other than that, they have some food to offer, from Indonesian Food to simple Italian Pasta. They offer Fried Noodle, Fried Rice, Tom Yum, and Bolognese Spaghetti. For drinks, they have a lot of variants too. They even sell mixed juices with its unique benefit for around IDR 15 k, such as for anti-aging, anti-oxidant and good-digestion.
Kopi Gue actually closes at 10, but if there are guests, they can open till 11 at night. It is run by an middle-age man and his wife. They both have opened this cafe for more than years and it’s quite a shame I just knew this spot a few months ago. If I had known it earlier, I'd have come and visited this place earlier too.
I ordered myself a plate of Tom Yum Fried Rice, a glass of Good Digestion mixed juice, and a cup of hot Milk Coffee. They have a wide variant of choices. But for food, well, it's quite limited, and some of the food wasn't available for the moment. Maybe it's because it's a home business, and it isn't too serious. Well, I've talked to the owner too and he actually said that this place was just for their leisure time, for their old time. But it's nice I think to have a small cafe to run when you're old.
The interior of the dining area is quite simple. The room is covered in bright yellow and some wood paneling. They made the room quite comfortable for visitors to spend some time. At the corner of the room, you can see a kind of simple bar, for the owner to make beverages. It looked quite good. The outdoor area, even though it has some tables and seats, wasn't too inviting. One of the reasons is the mosquitoes perhaps. Another reason is, it just seemed dull, sitting by the street without any 'pretty' view to look at. haha. But again, maybe it's a matter of preference, some like indoor area and some like outdoor area. Smokers will probably love sitting outside as they can freely smoke there.
~ Tom Yum Fried Rice ~
Price: IDR 25 k
This fried rice is one of their recommended dishes. I decided to try this since I was so hungry, I needed something with rice as the main ingredient. After waiting for about 10 minutes, it was served hot on my table. It looked very simple with simple fried egg on top. There were also 2 freshly-cooked prawns next to the egg. One spoonful of the fried rice, and I just knew why they recommended this dish in the first place. The tom yum flavor was quite light, made it somehow addictive. It’s quite spicy too with bright red chilies. When I ordered the fried rice, I was asked for the level of spiciness. I told the waiter that I wanted it spicy (hot). It’s very good and very enjoyable. So far, this was the best Tom Yum Fried Rice I've ever eaten. Too bad the portion of this dish was a bit small. I didn't have enough of this that time. Oh yeah, for the fried egg, it wasn't too good. It was too simple.
~ Digestion Juice ~
Price: IDR 15 k
A glass of mixed juice. It’s made of 3 kind of fruits. It’s a blend of apple, pineapple, and papaya. It’s refreshing with a combination of sweetness and sourness. It’s a bit too thick. If I can give an input, I still would suggest them to make a lighter version of this. It shouldn't be that thick, as it was overwhelming. I love the taste of those fruits blending together, but in the end, the overall taste was too strong. One person can't drink all this juice. If they make it lighter, they can even lower the price of the drink, to make it affordable (yet enjoyable). There were a lot of other mixed juices that I wish to try, but maybe in my next visit. ;)
~ Milk Coffee ~
Price: IDR 12.5 k
I was expecting an Iced Milk Coffee, but the blame is on me since I forgot to request that, so they served me a hot one instead. It’s quite unique. Served with “Kopi Tetes” style, you can smell the authentic traditional coffee flavor. The owner himself said that their coffee was pure and original. After waiting a few minutes to let the coffee totally sifted, I stirred the coffee and had a sip. Like I said, it’s very authentic with thick flavor and a bit bitter. It will suit you if you like the taste of thick milk coffee. It reminded me of my childhood too, back when my grandpa made me try a bit of his coffee. Very nice. Maybe if I had the Iced version one this, it might have been even better. I always have a thing with this kind of coffee.
Overall, it’s a nice late dinner. I would say that the food was good, and probably the other dishes might be as good. But one plate of fried rice can’t be a good benchmark anyway. For drinks, so far so good as well.
Kopi Gue is a good spot for people to spend their time, having dinner, or just having a good drink. Prices might be a bit of slightly over-priced for this area, but it’s quite okay too considering the quality of the food and drinks. The owner even said that they always use good ingredients and all the food they offer is safe and healthy. So, that’s probably the reason they can’t lower the prices anymore.
You can find free wifi connection here (even though when I was here, the wifi connection was down), and they have indoor and outdoor areas for seating. For additional information, the waiters were very nice too, very polite. They're usually open until 10 at night, but sometimes, when they still have customers, they could prolong the opening time to 11 at night. They're quite flexible with that.
I would like to recommend Kopi Gue for people around this area. It’s quite hidden, and probably not many people have noticed it. But if you do see Kopi Gue, give a chance to Kopi Gue and try the food and drinks. You might just like it. It offers a good quality home-made food and drinks, and as to emphasize their consideration towards healthy food, most of the ingredients used are healthy ingredients.
At last, thanks for reading my review. I am signing out. Kopi Gue
