People, I have just visited a new cafe in Kelapa Gading area. It's called Klassen Garden Cafe
. Well, if you're quite up to date with websites that offer discount for food, I think you might have stumbled into this cafe. Yeah, these days, the cafe is certainly trying to gain more awareness from a lot of people. It's the right thing to do, of course. Well, I happened to buy the voucher because I think it's quite near from the place where I live in every weekend. And, I actually was attracted to the concept too. From the website where I bought the voucher, I actually bought the one in Jalan Summagung. But actually, when I called the place to make a reservation, the receiver said that the cafe there had been closed down. It's mainly because of the inflexible opening time.
In jalan Summagung, it could only open from 5 in the late afternoon. Well, the opening hours is certainly very limited. That's why, they decided to completely merge the Klassen Classroom Cafe with their Garden Cafe. So, the point is we could just use the voucher in Klassen Garden Cafe.
So, eventually, we went here just a couple hours ago.
The location is pretty difficult to find, and I had a hard time finding it. When I called by phone, the receiver said that their location is just inside the SPBU Pertamina (next to McDonalds). So, I assumed I knew the place. But when we reached there, I suddenly had doubt. The SPBU didn't have any sign about any cafe, and I was quite confused for a while. We parked and I decided to ask around. Inside the SPBU, there is a car wash workshop. When I looked around, I couldn't see any signboard about the cafe. Then I asked a passer by about Klassen. Well, he then pointed at the second floor and there it was! I was so glad we didn't come at the wrong place.
The place is kinda hidden. Actually, after seeing it at the second floor, I just realized that they have a couple of small signboards, but the color is quite dark, that's why I didn't notice it. Just for input, I think they have to focus more on putting a bigger, noticeable, and catchy (maybe colourful
The exterior is zero with lame 'invisible' signboard, but the interior, is surprisingly quite nice!
Once we entered the room, the atmosphere changed. It is quite warm (in a cold way
), the interior is pretty simple but play enough part in making the room seems more private, and you can see a lot of tree decorations (or more like hedges). Well, it isn't literally a garden yet, but it is metaphorically. They don't have to exactly bringing real trees and stuff right?
In the room, there is a big LCD, some nice sofas and tables, and a couple of comfy corners. The room isn't spacious, but it is really comfortable and it doesn't look cramped. In the corner of the room, you can find a couple of stuff for you to play, like monopoly cards. Well, I didn't really check what games they have though.
After we sat down, the waitress came to us bringing the menu books. We then gave her our voucher and she went away with it to confirm it. And a minute later, she went back and asked us about our choices. We actually got two food and two Iced Tea. But since I was curious about their cakes, I ordered one. It is Rainbow Cake (again). I guess it's getting old, isn't it? But sometimes, I just don't know when to have enough of something. ;) The waitress was very nice, polite (not over), and she has good attitude. It's nice that the cafe has someone that nice as a waitress.
Klassen Garden Cafe offers a lot of food for customers. They have appetizers such as Organic Chicken Wing (IDR 17 k), Shrimp Spring Roll (IDR 15 k), and Mini Hashbrown (IDR 15 k). They also have Main Course obviously, with quite a lot of choices, like the recommended Curry Rice with Chicken Katsu (IDR 25 k), Fettucinne Carbonara with Dory (IDR 29 k) and American Platter with Bolognaise (IDR 25 k). Burgers are available too.
The price range for food is IDR 12 k to IDR 29 k.
For the desserts, they have Rainbow Cake (IDR 25 k), Green Tea Cake (IDR 20 k) and also Pancakes/Waffles (IDR 12 k or IDR 20 k with Ice Cream).
For beverages, they have a lot of choices too. They have flavoured tea, soda italiano, chocolate and coffee. Some of the recommended beverages are Cappuccino (IDR 15 k), Hazelnut Coffee Latte (IDR 20 k), Irish Cream Coffee Latte (IDR 20 k) and even Lemon Tea (IDR 12 k). The price range for the beverages is IDR 6 k to IDR 20 k.
So, I guess you guys can see the price ranges. It is certainly not pricy at all. It's quite affordable and it goes easy on our pocket.
Well, let's see our food and stuff. ;)
~ Curry Rice with Chicken Katsu ~
Price: IDR 25 k
This is a rice dish, served with fried Chicken Katsu and Curry Sauce. Well, when it came out, it certainly looked very simple, and since we used voucher, the steamed rice was quite small in portion. But the funny thing is, that the chicken katsu was still the normal size. I think it's quite generous. Even the curry that was served separately, was given a lot for us. It was also served with some veggie. After snapping a couple of pics, I started eating this. Well, it certainly was delicious! Simply tasty. The curry was especially nice. It had this light curry flavour, and it suited well with the crunchy chicken katsu. The curry sauce wasn't just plain curry. It had this slices of onion, and diced chicken. I love it so much. I think this dish is very recommended, especially for those who like curry. Not everybody like curry related dish though. For me, I give Klassen two thumbs up. ;)
~ Dory Blackpepper Rice ~
Price: IDR 25 k
This is another recommended menu by Klassen. It was included in the voucher which we used. When it was served, it looked quite similar to Chicken Katsu. The shape was similar and the arrangement was kinda look-alike. But it was served with different sauce. It was a bowl of blackpepper sauce with some sesame on top. After taking pictures, I tried it too. The deep fried dory was good! The outer crunchy layer was similar to my katsu. Both are very crunchy. The dory fish was quite nice too, not fishy at all, and tender. With blackpepper sauce, this dish was very good. I even think that they can actually sell Fried Dory Fillet with Blackpepper Sauce only. The blackpepper sauce was delicious. Very suitable for the Dory. The blackpepper sauce had this small chicken chunks too and slices of onions. It certainly was a very good dish.
~ Iced Tea ~
Price: IDR 8 k
These were our drinks (included in the voucher). The glass was cute, but it could only contain little tea.
~ Rainbow Cake ~
Price: IDR 20 k
This was one of their available desserts that time. I decided to have this because it looked nice. Each layer has no different flavour, it's just a vanilla flavoured cake but the icing is cream cheese. When the rainbow cake was served to our table, the shape didn't look that good. It wasn't slice neatly. But that's not a big problem. The priority is the taste. Well, after a bite, I liked it! The rainbow cake was quite good. Especially the spongecake which was very soft, nice and moist. It wasn't too dense too, and the flavour was very light. The problem is the cream/icing. It had this weird flavoured. I assume it was the butter, and I guess they put too much butter in the icing. Too much butter can make the cream easily spoiled, even in the fridge.
Anyway, the price of the Rainbow Cake is IDR 25 k, as written on the menu book. But apparently, I was only charged IDR 20 k, and I dunno why. Probably because they had a promotion for cake that day.
Well, our visit here was quite nice and we honestly like the place and the food too. The service was marvelous as well, and I hope they can always keep it up. And oh yeah, when I went out, a waiter chased us and told us that we got IDR 20 k (terms and conditions apply) 'cash back' voucher. We can use it for our next visit.
Klassen Garden Cafe currently has promo. You can enjoy their new sensation, which is some choices of simple pasta, such as Spaghett Blackpepper, Spaghetti Chicken Curry, and Spaghetti Bolognaise for only IDR 15 k, while Fettuccine Carbonara for about IDR 19 k. Or maybe if you want to, you can have one of the simple pasta and one glass of flavoured iced tea for only IDR 25 k. Nice right?
The facility you can get from The Klassen Garden Cafe is free wifi connection, air-con, LCD TV, and games. You can always hang around with your friends here and play some games that they have provided.
Lastly, I should just say, that you guys should come and check the place out. It is like a hidden gem, kinda hard to find, and it's quite isolated somehow, but actually the location is pretty strategic. Another downside is the parking space availability. It seemed quite hard for us to park. The parking space is quite limited too.
Please do come and try Klassen Garden Cafe guys!
Thanks for reading, and see ya later!

Have you ever dined in on the rooftop of a house or a building? If yes, then imagine that the rooftop you are dining in, is located on the 56th floor. Then again, imagine about all the view you can see on that floor, all the city view from atop. Imagine again, seeing all the city view at night. Seeing all the light from skyscrapers, houses, malls, and vehicles on the street. Sounded great ha? Yes! If only you booked all the room for yourself and your friends! Cause you know what? I’ve been to this happening place, which people were raving about. It’s called Skye
, and honestly after hearing all the fuzz, I was tempted. Okay, I’ll be honest. I was drooling over myself… (–,)
So, I promised myself to try it one day. And just a few days ago, my good friends were having a sudden plan to visit Skye together. Oh, FYI, there are 9 of us (they’re foodbloggers as well) who always chatted on WhatsApp (non-stop, believe me!) and we were planning to gather again here since all of us had the same interest with this happening place. So, since it’s a sudden plan, we ended up going there last Saturday. In total, there were 12 of us, 9 original members, Lina Martana, Vina, Tikka, Yuli, Verdi, Novi, Buby, and a newcomer, Megah!
and 3 others, Vina’s boyfriend, Apo, Megah’s boyfriend, Lucky, and Novi’s Cousin, Vita. And you know what, we became the crazy twelve musketeers! *click their name to get to their blogs*
Okay, we went to Skye at approximately 4 in the late afternoon, which is located on the 56th Floor, Menara BCA. There are 2 alternative to reach Skye. First, a direct route, you can just take the lift from Menara BCA. The second, kind of like a transit. So, from Grand Indonesia, you will have to find Gramedia on the 3rd Floor, and go inside. Walk straight to the end of the area, and you’ll see an empty area, with two securities (occasionally) standing there and sort of welcome you. Then you will be led to the lift, and voila! In no time, you will reach the 56th Floor.
Once the elevator’s door is open, you will feel a different type of atmosphere, similar to the entrance of a club or something.
Anyway, we were greeted by a couple of ladies first, asking whether we had made a reservation. Well, before coming here, we had made a few research about the rules. For the lounge, reservation won’t be a must, we are allowed to just walk in. But for the restaurant, reservation is strongly recommended, especially at the weekend.
Since we were just going to enjoy our evening in the Lounge area, we should head the left area, then we were asked to show our ID to assure that our ages are not below 19. Probably because one of our friend looked very young (plus, kinda skinny and short ;D). Then, since I was planning to capture our great moment of togetherness, I brought an SLR. But apparently, a professional Camera isn’t allowed here unless you have made an arrangement with them beforehand. So, my professional Camera suddenly isn’t that “professional” here. It’s not more than a heavy junk there. Poor me.
Just FYI, T-shirt, slippers for men are prohibited. Fashionable is the key. I’m glad I didn’t wear T-Shirt though, since I almost did. Buby’s boyfriend couldn’t get inside since he wore a T-Shirt.
Well, let’s just go straight forward.
After we picked our seats, which were by the pool outside, the menu books were given. For about 7 people (another 4 of my friends were on their way here) they only gave us about 2 sets of menu. Talking about generosity! It took us almost 20 minutes just to find what we wanted to order.
There are two area in the lounge, the indoor and the outdoor. The indoor has limited sofa seats, and the outdoor are quite nice with several types of seat. The outdoor is a good choice if you come at night, watching the starry sky or city view, and feel the breeze. Or if you like to sunbath in the afternoon heat. While for the indoor, it’s quite comfortable. There’s a sort of bar there with wooden paneling and stuff. The indoor looks more appealing at evening than in the afternoon.
In the Lounge, you can only enjoy food from Bistro section, Desserts, and Drinks. Prices vary from IDR 65 k – 145 k for Bistro, IDR 40 k – 120 k for Desserts, and IDR 30 k to millions (alcohol). So, we ordered drinks and desserts. Since the waiter who served us was new (trainee), He was friendly and polite, but he didn’t really know much about the products they offer. So, I asked a senior waiter who passed by, he knew quite well, but the thing is, he had a pretty obnoxious attitude, which of course a “favourite” trait for a waiter (if you know what I mean). So, the trainee was still much preferable.
Anyway, here were our drinks and desserts. I couldn't provide all photos since there are only 8 slots for photos here. So, I just picked the nicest looking ones. Desserts
~ Cranberry, Pecan, Chocolate, and Carrot Cake with Goat Cheese Frosting and Carrot Ice Cream ~
Price: IDR 50 k
This is what I ordered. I heard it directly from my friend who had come here before, that this Carrot Cake is really good. And of course I wouldn’t want to miss it. When it was served, the appearance was great! It’s kinda cute, and the slice of the carrot cake wasn’t as small as I imagined. So I was happy. The taste of this carrot cake was indeed, really good. The carrot cake was really scrumptious, with rich flavours from the chocolate, pecan and cranberry. I couldn’t taste the carrot flavour though. The texture was dry-ish but smooth. It’s easily crumbled. The Carrot Ice Cream was a good compliment too! The best part of this dish was the goat cheese frosting which was really really good. It’s the best of all desserts I’ve tried there. And I was happy to have ordered this.
~ Salted Caramel Tart with Chocolate Rum and Raisin Ice Cream ~
Price: IDR 45 k
A slice of Tart with Salted Caramel, served with chocolate rum and raisin ice cream (the name of the dish is the description of the menu as well). I tasted a bit of this, and it tasted good, a mixed of sweet and salty flavour with soft, smooth texture at top and solid tart as the bottom layer. It’s an instant favourite. I didn’t try the ice cream though.
~ Pumpkin Cheesecake with Pumpkin Seed Brittle and Ginger Beer Sorbet ~
Price: IDR 40 k
Cheesecake! Yap, but a different kind of cheesecake. It’s quite unique though. The appearance was pretty nice, and once you get a bite of it, you can taste the light flavour of cheese. It’s pretty good.
~ Lemon and Almond Pudding with Caramel Popcorn and Green Tea Ice Cream ~
Price: IDR 45 k
I tried a bit of this dish too, and apparently, it’s the worst dessert of the day. My friends agreed too! And plus, the appearance isn’t that inviting too honestly.
~ “Whitey” – White Chocolate, Macadamia and Cherry Sandwiched with Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream ~
Price: IDR 65 k
Based on its appearance, we have an alias for this dish. Fallen Cake! *our big time joke!* Yes, it looked abstract. Only the talented could understand! But fortunately, the taste wasn’t half as bad. If you love chocolate, you will like it. ;)
~ Bread and Butter Pudding with Whiskey and Maple Ice Cream ~
Price: IDR 50 k
Like the name, it’s Bread and Butter Pudding with a scoop of ice cream on top. I didn’t try this dessert. But from what I heard, some said it’s good, some said it’s not good. So, I just have no idea.
~ Baklava with Pineapple Sorbet ~
Price: IDR 50 k
Baklava is actually a Turkish dish, mostly made from layers of filo pastry with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or something similar. It wasn’t that far off though here. I didn’t bother to try since I found the appearance quite dull. according to those who tried it, it’s only an okay.
~ Campfire Cold Chocolate ~
Price: IDR 45 k
This was my drink. Since I love chocolate, I decided to go classic with chocolate. They have 3 choices of chocolate. Mint Chocolate, Mexican Chocolate, and Campfire Chocolate (all choices can be served cold/hot). I initially wanted to have the Mexican Chocolate which according to the senior waiter, it has cream mixed inside. But apparently, the Mexican Cold Chocolate was out of stock. So, I moved on and ordered the Campfire Cold Chocolate. It turned out after waiting for about 25 minutes, it was served hot. Then I asked for the waiter to make it cold. Then for another 15 minutes, it was finally served right with beautiful whipped cream on top, and a couple of roasted marshmallows. No wonder, it’s called Campfire Chocolate after all. ;) As the result, it’s amazing. Love the rich chocolate, and sweet whipped cream on top. The roasted marshmallows were very nice too, with fluffy texture. A recommended drink for those who love chocolate.
~ Forget Me Not ~
Price: IDR 45 k
A unforgettable blend of lime, apple and raspberry. One of the most famous drink here, probably because of the name. I love the name too.
~ The Dragon Tattoo ~
Price: IDR 45 k
A mix of dragonfruit, strawberries, and vanilla ice cream Smoothie. The colour was gorgeous.
~ Purple Haze ~
Price: IDR 45 k
A mix of blueberries, lychees, vanilla ice cream and milk Smoothie.
~ Green Hornet ~
Price: IDR 45 k
A mix of kiwi, apple, and passion fruit with vanilla ice cream Smoothie. It looked very good, but I didn’t try this at all.
~ Bolivian Snow ~
Price: 45 k
A mountain of decadent oreos, hazelnut, milk and whipped cream. Creamy!
~ Cheech and Chong ~
Price: IDR 45 k
A combination of smoky apple, olive and lime drink with bubbles.
Well, those were all we had. We spent about 2 hours here, watching the place getting all packed with people as the sun set. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I found this place wasn’t as good as I imagined it would be. My drink and dessert were fine, and the view was okay. But the service was bad in some part. Some senior waiters were way too unfriendly, while the trainee was nice. Another senior waitress was nice too. Security Officers were arrogant. Something might be wrong with the gentlemen there. Who knows.
In addition, the place wasn’t so romantic anymore since it was getting so crowded at about 6 in the evening and it was more like a market rather than an exclusive lounge.
That’s it. The price we paid wasn’t worth the “thing” we got. There are other places with lower prices and (much) better services around Jakarta I’m sure. I think for a place like this, a better service is compulsory. After all, the service charge is 10% here. And in addition, I have a question for restaurants that prohibit professional camera to be used inside. For this post, I have to use all the pictures from my iPhone.
This is my review for Skye, with all sincere honesty in it. I wrote everything in my own personal opinion, and I’m glad I could compliment the dish and drink I had, as well as give input about the service here.
I might be back here, but I might not too.

Just about months ago, Holycow! Steakhouse by Chef Afit
was opened in Kelapa Gading, and of course many people are quite familiar with the steak house. Me myself had heard a lot of good things and a couple of recommendations from fellow food bloggers, and after seeing that it in Kelapa Gading, I had an instant curiosity to have a try.
Holycow! Steakhouse currently has two branches. The other one is in Senopati.
So, anyway, I went there in the early afternoon on Saturday (FYI, it’s a fasting month), but apparently, they’re still closed! So I had to wait till 5 o’clock in the evening to try their food that day. I went there again at 4.50, but they hadn’t opened yet, and guess what, there were already a bunch of people waiting outside! I was glad I came early. My babe hates waiting too long. Had I come 10 to 20 minutes later, I just might have not gotten any seat. At 5, the waitress welcomed us in. We picked a table near the door, and it wasn’t a right call! The door kept hitting my chair every time people came in. I should have known better.
By the way, there's a cute bell by the door. It's a cow bell with "welcome" word written as well. The cow is super cute.
Holycow! The place is quite nice actually. Designed cutely (except for the door and my seat) with red and white dominance, Holycow! has this simple yet nice ambiance. You can see simple hanging lamps, and minimalist decorations here and there. The furniture they used is simple too, but nicely made. The downside is the size of the room, which is too small for this many demanding customers. So, when the room were full of people, it was getting hotter and the noise was getting louder. Waitresses and waiters were often unavailable too. Good thing the waiters and waitresses were nice and friendly though. Th waiters who served us was kinda polite. He was quite informative too as he tried to explain about the stuff we asked him. While the waitresses who happened to serve us even for a brief moment, they were nice and they looked like they had no difficulty at all in serving customers even when the place was so packed (not to mention the waiting guests). Love their manners!
After ordering, I saw a small brochure too about mentioning Holycow! Steakhouse to get a tiramisu by MISU. So I did exactly like that, and Voila! I got an extra treat! I chose Green Tea Flavour. Anyway, after that, at around 6, we got another extra Tiramisu! It’s a treat for everybody since it’s a breakfasting hour. ^^ Each person got one, so we got two Tiramisu!
The prices vary from IDR 15 k for Tiramisu and Herbs Wedges, IDR 40 k for Bergyu 200gr (Wagyu Burger) to IDR 150 k for Wagyu Tenderloin 200gr. For Drinks, prices start from IDR 10 k to 13.5 k.
~ Sirloin Big Bites! ~
Price: IDR 95 k
This dish had this “NEW!” label next to it on the menu, so I assume it’s a new offer from Holycow! It’s quite big, with 400gr weight of sirloin, I could share this with my babe. We could choose our sauce (Homemade Mushroom Sauce, Blackpepper Sauce, Barbeque Sauce and Buddy’s Special Sauce), and level of doneness. I chose Blackpepper sauce and I asked for Medium Well, since Steaks are better served at Medium doneness to prevent it from being too hard and chewy. But when it was served, I think they had overcooked it, so it became well-done, rather than medium well. So, when I cut it myself, I needed to make an effort for it. The inside was not even pink-ish anymore. So, I tried it anyway after I showered it with the blackpepper sauce. Well, all I can say honestly is that the Steak was mediocre. I don’t mean to be harsh, but the Sirloin was pretty bad in texture. I love the fatty part, and that’s the best of it. And the silver lining here, is the size of the sirloin. The blackpepper sauce was only an okay, since I recognized the taste from somewhere else. For the side dishes, the vegetables and the mashed potato weren’t bad! In fact, the mashed potato tasted good, with a twist of herbs in it.
~ Iced Cappuccino ~
Price: IDR 13 k
The drink was so so. The coffee wasn’t that rich, and the ice was quite less. So my cappuccino wasn't really cold. Just slightly. It's quite moderate if I could say. But the price is kinda reasonable too. So, it's still worth it. If you order Iced Tea, the price is quite similar (but it's free flow). That's why I prefer Cappuccino.
~ Tiramisu by MISU ~
Price: IDR 15 k
Since I got three for free, I was glad, and to be honest, the Tiramisu I tried was really good. The texture was soft and moist, with rich flavour. The green tea tiramisu was very unique, with light flavour of green tea. It had enough sweetness and it was just perfect! For the Original Tiramisu, it was equally good too. It was just simply lovable. Both the Green Tea and the Original Tiramisu were awesome and really addictive! Thanks MISU and Holycow! for those Tiramisu we got.
After all, the experience I have here is pretty refreshing though. The Steak was pretty okay, and the Tiramisu (Free) was really delish. Well, the place is quite good too, plus a big A for the waiters and waitresses manners! I finally know the taste of the steak in Holycow! Steakhouse, after a long wait. The prices here were said to be pretty cheap, but I’m no expert in this as I occasionally avoid Beef. I only eat beef if I feel like to eat it, if the appearance is really inviting or if I heard really great rumours about it.
Well, anyway, if you're still hesitant to come here, maybe it's probably because you don't like to wait. So my advice, please do come early. ;)
There’s no Chicken or Fish here, as it’s meant for all beef lovers (Carnivores) only, cause ‘this is where (wag)yu belong!’. ;D
So, are you guys Carnivores? If yes, try Holycow! Steakhouse by Chef Afit! Feel free to come. ;)
Nb. Please note it that this Holycow! Steakhouse by Chef Afit is different to the one in Radio Dalam since their business separation in May 2012.Holycow! Steakhouse by Chef Afit

Hey OpenRicers! I'm here now for a very quick important review! Let's see what I have to say.
Well, a couple of days ago, a jar of nastar was sent to me by a friend of mine, who owns Chippy Cake
. It’s a sweet treat for me that day, and just FYI I love cookies, and nastar is always the first on my list! Nom Nom Nom!
Chippy Cake actually was established a few months ago, and actually it was a home-made brand which got more and more demand from family and friends, especially during the holy fasting month. Of course during that time, the demand for cookies was massive, and Chippy Cake got lots of orders till it stopped accepting them for a brief moment.
Chippy Cake focuses on providing buyers cookies with good quality, rather than cookies with unreasonable cheap prices but big zero in quality. All the ingredients used, were the best in order to assure buyers that the cookies made would be scrumptious and simply irresistible.
Me myself, after receiving a small jar of those cute little nastar, could wait to have a good bite. Of course I took a picture first!
Here it is.
Just after a bite of the nastar, you can actually picture this; the solid but soft outer layer, with a hint of butter flavour, which crumbles inside your mouth. And wait, it’s not over yet! While it crumbles, with every movement of your jaw, you will taste more from the inside, pineapple jam filling, and the fun truly begins! The pineapple jam is as gorgeous as it could be, with a sweet flavorful sensation and merely a hint of acidity which is delish! I don’t know about you guys, but I really like it this way.
Honestly, I emptied the jar just in one night! It's yum!
That’s only the nastar we were talking about! A few weeks before, the owner also sent us small samples of Putri Salju and Keju Kastengel, and unfortunately it didn’t come to my mind to actually snap a picture of them. I just kept eating and voila! And No photos! *sigh But I got a couple of photos for the packaging. Let's check it out!
But seriously, you should try the Putri Salju. It’s as delicious as the nastar but of course in a whole different way! Chippy Cake’s Putri Salju is simply delicious. The cookies were so vulnerable, they could just dive in your mouth, causing this cold sweet sensation which will leave you wanting for more.
And don’t even start with the Keju Kastengel! :9
The three photos above were only taken by standard mobile phone camera.
Well, for the price, it depends on the size of the jar you want to have. Small Jar (250gr) will cost you IDR 50 k, and the Big Jar (500gr) will cost you only IDR 75 k. Everything that comes with cheese, such as Keju Kastengel and Sagu Keju, will cost you additional IDR 5 k, so for example, if you order a Big Jar of Keju Kastengel, you will have to pay IDR 80 k.
Since it’s an online business, delivery expense is on the buyers. And plus, if you want to have a cute wooden basket (usually if you want it to be sent as a hamper to somebody else) and the wrapping paper like the one in the picture, it will cost you an extra IDR 20 k.
OpenRicers should check Chippy Cake out! The cookies are simply delish and especially for special occasions, you don’t want to miss its cookies! Some of the cookies that you can order are Nastar, Putri Salju, Keju Kastengel, Sagu Keju and Coklat Mede. Feel free to order and maybe if you still have doubt, you should try the small jar of the cookies first! To order, you can add their BBM pin or just call/text. See the detail below!
Anyway, thanks Chippy Cake for sending me those cute cookies. I’ll definitely want to have some more! As for you OpenRicers, what are you waiting for? Order it now! ;) Chippy Cake | Home-Made Cookies

Hei, OpenRicers! I'm here to review a quite new Noodle House around my area. The name is King Nursijan
, Mie Baso Bandung. It's actually not entirely new, it has the words like "sejak 1982", so I think maybe this Noodle House has its own history. Well, while searching about it on Google, I found out a review about it. The information is actually that Nursijan is the name of a small alley/road in Bandung which is famous for its Bakso Tahu. I couldn't confirm the fact though, I rarely go to Bandung (partly because of the traffic).
The noodle house is quite nice, but simple. The place is quite down to earth, more like a house, and the most important thing is, it was clean. The room certainly is quite spacious and it is bright with white lamps. The room was painted mostly white, with a touch of green too, to make it more alive. But it's a very typical noodle house after all. The furniture they used is very simple, but that's the good thing. A Noodle House supposed to be a house, a very simple place to eat good noodles. It's not too much, and it won't intimidate customers. Unlike some other places which focus too much on the environment and ambiance, then forget about the taste. For a noodle house, I prefer simplicity, a comfortable simple room, but with delicious food comes as a surprise.
Anyway, I found it that day, that there's a new noodle house open. It had this banner informing readers about the opening discount too. The discount was about 20%. So yeay, I love discount! *who don't?*
Thus, I went inside. Well, it certainly was pretty crowded. Of course it was the grand opening, and a lot of people were curious about new stuff. That includes me! ;) So, I took a sit. While waiting, I found that the young owner (I assume) were busy serving another group of customers. So I decided to wait. After a few minutes of waiting, I decided maybe I should call the waiters there, and I did. Then the waiters told me to wait for the owner who was serving the group of customers, if I want to order. So, I waited (again). The group of customers over there seemed to be quite hesitant in ordering. I didn't know what took them so long to order food though. And anyway, I think for ordering, it shouldn't be just a one-person-job. I meant when you are having a lot of customers coming at the same time, it will be troublesome if all of the customers should wait for their turn to order. It won't be convenient. I don't know if this situation often happens or not, but it happened to me. But anyway, since it was their Opening days, I could understand. Well, but the thing is, the owner seemed to be quite busy, and she forgot to smile (at least to me) I guess. So she looked quite unfriendly. I don't know if it's because of her busy day, or maybe because I snapped pictures. Well, some people don't like or even allow customers to take pictures of their stuff, but if that's the reason I guess it isn't good. Well, nowadays for culinary business, input (compliments or even criticism) is one of the most important things. Input can become a good knowledge for restaurants to thrive, to be better. So, it's not just as simple as trying to criticize the restaurants as if people have nothing else to do. Well, some restaurants failed to understand that unfortunately. I hope this Noodle House won't be like that.
Anyway, this post is certainly a compliment rather than a criticism. Yap, my visit was a pleasant one.
King Nursijan offers Noodles as their main dishes. Yeah, there are two different noodles here. The sweet one, and the salty one. Some people like the salty noodles and some like it sweet. I actually like both.
That's why it was confusing that I had to choose that day. Eventually I went with the salty one though.
There are several choices of the food though. From Yamien, Yahun, Mie Kuah, Bihun Kuah, Kwetiaw, Mie Goreng, Nasi Tim Ayam, and a lot of other side dishes. The total choices of their food is 67. That is a lot! ;) For the size, there are two sizes, Medium and Standard. When I asked her about the portion of Medium, she said it actually isn't half portion, but it is just smaller than usual. While the standard is bigger. That's why eventually I went with the Standard.
The approximate price range for the food here is IDR 16 k to IDR 30 k (Medium to Standard). And for the drinks, the price range is IDR 2 k - IDR 10 k. But FYI, when you come, you will be served a small glass of hot plain tea, and it is free. So if you think it's enough to have the plain hot tea, just go with it.
Let's see about the food then!
~ Yamien Asin Pangsit ~
Price: IDR 22 k (Standard)
Actually I wonder about what exactly Yamien means. I assumed it is the type of the noodle. Well, the noodle certainly isn't ordinary noodle. The shape is thinner than the usual one. It's more like ramen's noodle, maybe it's just quite similar. But well, the noodle was delicious! I love the yamien. It was perfectly cooked and the minced chicken on top was very generous. Like the name, this Yamien is the salty type. It was mostly salty and of course not over-salty! I enjoyed eating this Yamien with the minced chicken. The noodle had this specific flavour, and it came from the "seledri" (I don't know what it is called in English
). Overall, I really like this salty Yamien. And now I am curious with their sweet Yamien. :9 Oh yeah, have I told you about the portion? Yes, the noodle was given generously as well. ^^
Since I ordered my Noodle with pangsit, I got the pangsit on my soup. Well, if you want to order separately, you can too. But they sell the pangsit per 10 pieces. And for those 10 pangsit, it only costs you IDR 20 k. So, it's only IDR 2 k per piece. Cheap right?
The taste? It was good as well! Love the taste. The pangsit was pretty straight forward. The taste was simple, but flavourful. The meat texture in the pangsit was tender too. it was salty too, and with right amount of pounded chili, the pangsit was really good. Well, I just love love love it.
~ Iced Tea and Hot Tea~
Price: IDR 2 k
For this drink, I guess it's pretty simple. It's just a standard Iced Tea. Behind it in the photo, is the hot plain tea gave me. It was nice to drink it after eating the whole noodle. It is as if it washed away all the oily stuff from my digestion system, plus it is free.
Well, thos are all I had for the day. In the end, when I paid, I got 20% discount and I paid only about IDR 20 k if I'm not mistaken. It is very cheap, and I was really full that day. I enjoyed the yamien and the pangsit too, and I certainly will be back for more later. Especially for trying the sweet Yamien. Now to think about it, I am also curious with the Yahun. The name is kinda funny.
In conclusion, I think that King Nursijan is certainly a good Noodle House. It became a nice addition of noodle houses in Taman Palem Lestari. The service was okay, the place is quite nice, and the food was delicious. Plus, when I paid in the cashier, the elder was sitting there handling all payments. She was full of sincere smile and very kind. She was the reason I had complete satisfaction for the place. The youngster certainly should be like that too so that customers will always be happy.
I'm glad I came that day.
For OpenRicers, of course the last thing I'd say is quite common. You are always welcome to try the food in King Nursijan, as I would say it is very recommended for Noodle Lovers and Food Hunters. I didn't try to exaggerate at all here, but I am just really honest about what I said here. Of course you guys won't exactly have the same liking like mine though. Well, that's why, come and do try it yourself.
So, in the end, thanks for reading OpenRicers, and see ya again later in the next pages of my food adventure!
