People! Good news for Ramen Lovers! If you are really into Ramen, there is a new one in Kelapa Gading. I bet you have seen it for a couple of times since it has this big tall signboard with a cook and a bowl of ramen on it. Yeah right! It's called Tabushi, or Tokyo Ramen Tabushi
. You can see it very clear if you often pass Jalan Boulevard Kelapa Gading.
Since I was so eager to find restaurants that people haven't reviewed yet, I finally went to this new Ramen House which is just located across MKG. It's quite close to Kyo Dai ramen too. Well, that Friday night, I decided to go there and try their food first. I saw it a few times before and I thought that there were not many visitors there. But when I came that day around 8, there were quite a lot of customers too. Anyway, I saw there was a discount too, about 20% for F & B. Horay for myself, then I walked in and got a seat.
The place seemed to be very different compared to other Ramen Restaurants. the place looked very clean and plain. The signboard on the outside is mostly black and white, and the inside interior is white and brown (comes from woody paneling). The lighting is very simple too, all white. That's why the dining area looks kinda plain in the first place, and kinda 'honest' too. After seeing a couple of colourful Ramen Restaurant, I think I eventually got tired of them and this is certainly a breath of fresh air.
You can find their typical Japanese 'kitchen' on the right side of the room, with some very busy cooks in it. The dining area of course is full Air-Con, so don't worry about being sweaty while eating hot delicious ramen. I once went to a very famous Ramen Restaurant, and they have Air-Con in the room too. But the thing is, the indoor area was still so hot and eventually ended up all sweaty (literally). It might have been the crowd, but still they should anticipate this right? Anyway, back to our topic, the environment is good overall.
The service here was marvelous. The waiters and waitresses were very kind and nice. As usual, when we came inside, they shouted something like 'welcome' in Japanese. Then we were seated and the menu lists were given to us. I asked about their recommendation for the Ramen and she pointed that their Tabushi Ramen (48k) is their signature dish and it is recommended. The serving time was kinda short too. Just in 10 minutes, everything we ordered were already served on our table. When I looked confused about the seasoning stuff on our table, the waiter also came and told us about it without me asking. They have Vinegar, Fried garlic, Sesame oil ready on the table. The service here was really good, and I hope that they can always keep it up for the sake of customers.
I always love a place with kind and nice waiters and waitresses. Sometimes for me, service comes first, then taste! If you offer a lot of good food, but serving the food with bad attitude, it usually will be a big zero and I won't even bother to come back no matter how good your food is.
Besides Tabushi Ramen, there are several other choices too, like Syouyu Ramen (38k) with soy sauce taste, Miso Ramen (52k) with Miso taste, or maybe for spicy food lovers, Karami Ramen (48k). For those who love Chicken Ramen, they have Tokusei Chukasoba (45k) or known as Chicken Soup Ramen. Every Ramen can be upgraded (with special toppings) in addition for extra IDR 20 k.
They don't just sell Ramen here. In case if you don't like ramen, they also offer a lot of other dishes, like Appetizers, Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles), Aburasoba and even Rice Dishes.
For appetizers, they have Grilled Gyoza (28k), Fried Chicken (25k), Croquette (10k) etc.
The food's price range is IDR 10 k - IDR 52 k.
For drinks, they have few choices. From Mineral water (5k), Green Tea (8k), Coke (15k), Sprite(15k) and Beer (25k).
Overall, I think the prices are still reasonable.
Let's go and see what we had that day!
~ Tabushi Ramen ~
Price: IDR 48 k
As their signature Ramen, this dish actually looked very appealing. The broth looked kinda red, but don't worry, it's not spicy. In the bowl, I got Ramen Noodle (obviously), Seaweed, a slice of Pork Meat, soft-boiled Egg, and of course broth with Bonito flavour. Don't ask me about Bonito, cause I have no idea. It's just written on the menu that Tabushi Ramen is actually Tonkatsu Ramen of the Bonito Flavour. For me, personally I love this ramen! The Ramen was very good that it could make me say "ahh.." while enjoying the broth. Yes, the broth was very flavorful, and I added more sesame oil plus fried garlic. It was so good I just kept eating during the 5 minutes. Too bad the pork was only given 1 slice, but it was so good. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked and the yolk was exactly as I liked it. Please note it that the Ramen Noodle is different than most of other Ramen Restaurants' noodles. The noodles here were yellow, kinda thick and not curly. It's similar too mie kuning, but of course this one is so much better. And I honestly have no idea which one is the right one. But I just like this one! The noodle and the broth were just simply delicious till the last drop!
~ Gappao ~
Price: IDR 28 k
The Gappao here is a rice dish with minced spicy pork on it, plus sunny side up with shredded seaweed on top. But my cousin requested the egg to be cooked evently, so they did what he asked. It honestly looked very simple, but once I tried, I could say this one was another goodness here. The minced meat was so good, it's rather spicy, savoury and flavorful. I dunno how they do it, but this simple rice dish was really good. My cousin couldn't agree more about it. Not to mention that their steamed rice was so good too (of course not about the flavour, but about the texture!). That's probably why 1 portion of steamed rice will cost you IDR 15 k. For the minced meat, they even gave us quite a lot on the rice. The price is very reasonable. Anyway, You should really try this one if you visit Tabashi!
~ Green Tea ~
Price: IDR 8 k
Green Tea or Ocha over here was pretty good, It's not your ordinary plain ocha. The green tea substance was thicker, and it tasted nice!
I dunno about you guys, but for me, I really love the Ramen here! All the food we tried were so good, delicious and just worth every penny we paid. Not to mention the discount we got. The portion for both dishes we had were quite big too. Like I said, for the taste, I really love it. But remember that there are several different perception for Ramen. So you can't really expect one Ramen to be the same to the others. Each of them has their own appeals, while apparently, I prefer the one in Tabashi Ramen. The Ramen Noodle was so good and the borth was so flavourful and thick. I simply love it without really knowing why!
Just FYI, when I visited Tabashi, the place was crawling with Japanese people as customers. We kept hearing customers speaking Japanese and stuff. So I assume that this place is pretty favorable for the Japanese. Maybe because of the originality, or maybe because of the environment. But I guess I'll never know unless I go and ask them directly, and that if I can ever speak Japanese I guess.
Well, I'd really love to recommend this place for OpenRicers if you guys are into Ramen. Perhaps you'll find their Ramen favorable too. And don't forget, they offer customers 20% discount for F & B till the end of this month! So, this might be the best time for you to have a try. don't miss the chance guys! Now I'm sounding like the inside man.
So, before it creeps you out, I have to go now. Feel free to check the place out! ;)
See ya OpenRicers and thanks for reading my reviews!

Pelayanannya sih okeh banget ya, meski sederhana, mereka ramah. Cumanya pas ramai, mereka agak keteteran sih. Mgkn kurang bantuan tenaga aja yah.
Oh ya, karna saya nga melihat menu mereka (atau jangan-jangan mereka nga punya buku menu), saya juga ngak tau pasti mereka menawarkan apa aja. Mungkin saja mereka cuma menawarkan Bakmi/Bihun/Kwetiau aja denga ragam topping.
Berasa fishy sih, tapi in a good way.
But this is my honest opinion. Makanya boleh dibilang cukup worth it yah.
After all, semua ini berbalik lagi pada OpenRicers.
Thanks for reading and see ya later people! ;)

Saya share tentang tempatnya dulu yah.
Wangi banget sih rica-ricanya.
For me, I love it!
~ Es Teh dan Teh Susu ~
Price: IDR 2 k + IDR 8 k
Kalau Es tehnya sih biasa aja ya, tapi Teh Susunya not bad kok.
Mungkin lain kali kalau saya datang lagi, saya bakal memesan Bakmi Babi Cincangnya.
Thanks for reading guys, and see ya again OpenRicers! ;)

The 3 House
, located in Kuningan, specifically Kuningan Village, Jalan Karbela Timur No.1, is certainly a hidden gem for food hunters who rarely pay a visit to this area. Well, me myself, personally never knew that Kuningan Village existed, and okay, shame on me. But eventually I knew, and got a chance to visit a Lounge as well as a Bistro called The 3 House. For the name, the number "3" actually represents "tree" and there goes its symbol, a sort of tree with lots of twigs and branches. And now, perhaps you wonder about the tree. Oh, I'll try to explain.
The 3 House is certainly unique, like I said previously. It's a lounge and a bistro with something like Go-Green-Stuff (
) since they have a whole bunch of trees on the outdoor area. Not big trees though, more like tall skinny trees, and certainly the outdoor looks like an open-garden. In the middle of the outdoor area, you can see a stage for live band. You can also find a small tree house (yeah, after all it's the definition of the venue's name) which is quite cute. For the lounge, the indoor area, I think it fits me better since it's with Air-Con and the place is very comfortable. The concept of the lounge is going back to the name of the place, the 3 House, or the small woody-made house on a big tree, but of course it's much bigger than the real one.
I forgot to tell you too, The 3 House is on the second floor of Kuningan Village. thus, It sorts of creating a similar definition of a tree house, in a modern way. The bar in the lounge itself can be seen all woody-made with a big tree (of course this one is fake!
) behind it, while some of the branches are all above it sparking an impression of shading the bar. Since it's a bar, there are stools around it. I could really say I was surprised with the concept they created. I didn't expect it this way when I was coming here to tell you the truth.
Before coming, we made an appointment the other week, since I wanted to use my voucher. But, apparently they said the place won't be available for public on Friday and Saturday this week, so since I could only manage to come here at the weekend, I asked them to try finding a solution. And eventually they called me and they asked us to come on Sunday evening (23th Sept and actually, 22nd Sept was supposed to be the last day for using the voucher). So, here I came, at 5 in the late afternoon! Have I told you that they are only open from 5:00 pm - 1:00 am every Sunday - Thursday and from 5:00 pm - 2:00 am on Friday and Saturday?
Anyway, It turned out when I came here, there were a couple of groups using the vouchers too.
Food varies from Western to Asian, from Soup, Salad, Pasta, Pizza, Steaks to Oxtail Soup and Rice Dishes. The price range is from IDR 25 k to IDR 323 k but most main courses are about IDR 58 k to IDR 75 k. For the desserts, it starts from IDR 30 k to IDR 60 k. Some of the desserts you might want to try are Deviled Chocolate Cake (60k), The3House D'Crepes (40k), and maybe Apple Caramel Pizza (55k).
For drinks, you can get Iced Tea or Iced Lemon Tea for about IDR 18 k, or maybe for a better pleasure, you can have a sip of their Mocktails for about IDR 30 k each.
Well, I'll just jump to the F & B first!
~ Iced Blended Cappuccino ~
Price: IDR 30 k
The Iced Blended Cappuccino was served after the food came out first. Fortunately, this drink was very good. It's a blend of more coffee and some milk with ice. The drink was kinda sweet, in a good way, and it tasted nice. It's not bitter at all somehow. You just can taste the coffee flavour and milk in cold icy sensation. The price is worth it anyway for a place like this.
~ Rosemary Chicken ~
Price: IDR 75 k
The Rosemary Chicken is a half roast baked spring chicken with rosemary. It was served with royal lyonese potatoes, salad with balsamic dressing, plus red wine au jus scented rosemary. Okay, to put it in a 'human' way, I will try to explain. The half chicken, including the breast and the thigh was roast baked with rosemary as the main spice. The taste was so good I kept wanting more and more. It's very fragrant with rosemary typical flavour, and the texture of the chicken was so tender, it could be easily shredded. It's not over yet! The dish was served with the sauce too, which apparently is made from rosemary and red wine. The sauce was so good it complimented the chicken very well. I really didn't expect it to be this good since I've gone to quite a lot of restaurants, and I had never eaten a better Rosemary Chicken than this one. I really recommend you to have a taste of this. For extra note, only if you love spiced food! While for the royal lyonnaise potatoes, it was great! It's more like baked baby potatoes fry. The potatoes were kinda crunchy in the outer layer, and a bit meaty in the inside. The green salad with Balsamic dressing suited my appetite well too. It's fragrant, sweet-ish and the slight acidity made it so much better! There's so much goodness in one plate.
~ Fish & Chips ~
Price: IDR 85 k
Fish & Chips is a very common dish and it's very well-known internationally. It's generally a deep-fried battered dory fish fillet with tartare sauce. But here, I should say it's slightly different. At The 3 House, the Fish and Chips was a thinly coated dory fish fillet, seasoned with Cajun seasoning, and served with cajun fries, a slice of lemon, tartar sauce, and salad with balsamic dressing. The dory itself was tender as a dory usually is. The fish fillet's outer layer was really crunchy and in addition, with the cajun seasoning, it became a bit spicy and it's just simply delicious. The fries were also very good, very crunchy and they weren't oily at all. The cajun seasoning made them delicious. The tartar cream was equally good. Frankly, I'd gotten quite tired of ordinary fish and chips before, and here came this fish and chips. It's outstanding!
~ Poffertjes ~
Price: IDR 30 k
My poffertjes were supposed to be good. Poffertjes with sugar icing, and chocolate sauce, served with Vanilla Ice Cream and cherry on top. Nothing could be better. The thing is the timing! The poffertjes were served, right after we started eating. So, as we ate, the ice cream was melting and the cute poffertjes were getting cold. In the end, since there were no ice cream left, the poffertjes didn't have a good companion to brighten its taste. Thus, for me, the poffertjes failed to become a 'happy ending'.
Actually, I had a couple of issues that I want to share and they might as well be good inputs for the venue. First, we actually made an appointment for 5pm, so we arrived there sharp, then we were welcomed, but we were asked to wait till about 6 pm since they hadn't prepared anything yet due to yesterday's late event. Well, I had a problem actually because I supposed to be at another restaurant in Kelapa Gading for my mom's birthday dinner at 7 pm, and that was why I made the appointment for 5 pm in the first place. But I didn't mind, since the waiter who told us was very nice and it's not entirely their fault. i just had to eat fast to make up the time. So, we waited till about 5.45 pm or something, then one of the waiter approached us to get our order. We supposed to be able to choose between 4 main courses, and it included Grilled Salmon, Rosemary Chicken, Fish & Chips and Grilled BBQ Half Chicken Steak. To go back in time, I initially bought this voucher for the Grilled Salmon. And then that day, the waiter told me innocently that it wasn't available at that time since they had changed their menu a long time ago and the Grilled Salmon was gone for good. From that moment, I disliked the attitude. I meant seriously, at least if that happened, you should be telling your customers nicely and simply apologize for the inconvenience, or maybe at least, you can put some sorry expression on your face right? I was disappointed, but I moved on and we ordered Rosemary Chicken and Fish & Chips plus a drink and a dessert.
We waited for quite some time again, and finally the food came first, after about 20 minutes. Where is our drink? The other groups who arrived later than us had got their drinks and I tried to understand again thinking maybe our drink was harder to make. FYI, we ordered Ice Blended Cappuccino. Well, to be positive, it's good that all the waiting part was not boring at all, since we got to go online, with their fast wireless internet connection. We waited for another 5 minutes, and the drink was there finally. While we just began to eat, unexpectedly, our dessert was served on our table. We were like, huh? With confused expression seeing our dessert (Poffertjes with Ice Cream) posing there for us. It's a dessert right? Isn't it supposed to be out after meal or at least, at the end of our meal? The Ice Cream was melting and the Poffertjes were getting cold! But then again, we were just quiet and we actually came to conclusion that this place might be lacking experiences with their service. I meant, I expected more from The 3 House about its service, since the place is awesome, with good solid concept, plus really really good food.
Still, problems aside, The 3 House is really really recommended for those who wants to find a nice cozy lounge and bistro with good food and good drinks. It suits very well for people who want to hang around, gather with friends, and perhaps drink some stuff with friends. I should say that I admire this place and the food. Oh yeah, I need to remind you that not all of the waiters here were bad. Some were very nice to us, and the only waitress there was friendly too. Maybe some of them just didn't have enough experiences about some stuff. I'm still rooting for The 3 House.

People! Just the day before, I was visiting Pacific Place to have dinner at Rakuzen, and after my early dinner, I walked around and finally stumbled across The Goods Cafe
which is very well-known for it's cakes. Well, I had been salivating by reading people's review about their cakes, and before I even had a chance to try The Goods Cafe in PI, they had already closed down, and moved to Pacific Place. And here I was, in Pacific Place, and I wouldn't want to miss my encounter this time, so I just decided to have an 'after meal' with my cousin.
Yeah it's right that The Goods Cafe here is new, but the place yesterday was quite packed. People seemed to enjoy the cakes and stuff, and they were mostly hanging around with some friends. Oh, btw, do you know that they have The Goods Diner near this area too? It is more like a romantic american restaurant from what I heard. Some fellow food bloggers also said that the place is more romantic, and if you are looking for a romantic place to dine in, The Goods Diner can be your choice. But anyway, let's get back to The Goods Cafe first. One step at a time. ;)
This is their outward appearance.
This is their outward appearance for The Goods Dept.
I'll start with their environment. The interior of this place is more like American-style cafe. It's simple, casual, but simply appealing.
In this new The Goods Cafe, there are two seating area, a smoking area, and a non-smoking area. The smoking area is in the back position which I didn't exactly see yesterday since the waitress who served us just pointed it back there. The non-smoking area is in the front position which you can directly see, I think sitting here can make me feel a little bit like 'naked' since passers by can directly see you munching, eating or doing whatever things you like doing. But if you enjoy munching while looking at passers by and vice versa, you might as well love the seats here. And also, there is also another extra near The Goods Dept. It's more private (I prefer private than 'naked') and it has this dark romantic ambiance. The lighting is perfect (and it's very nice taking pictures of their f&b here). Thus, I prefer the one near The Goods Dept, and we eventually had our seats there. Sitting here was very convenient since we could just go to the Dept and do sight seeing. I think the concept of having a cafe and a dept in one place is very nice. I forget to check whether they have wifi or not since both my smartphones (guess they're not so smart anymore) were dead, ehm not literally though.
This the area where I sat.
And I loved their table arrangement, with very simple stuff, such as a real flower and the vase, plus some seasonings.
And just behind me, there is a good picture.
The waitress was very nice, serving us in a good way, by not being over polite and still manage to be likeable. She's informative too, as we asked about the cake The Goods Cafe would recommend except for Red Velvet which was sold out (I's really love to try their Red Velvet since I heard some really good rumors about it), and she gave us a couple of choices. Anyway, they have new stuff too, it's carrot cake, and I was hesitant to try since I'd never heard anything about it. Later on, after being confused for quite some time, I decided to have their Double Chocolate Cake. I wanted to have the Rainbow Cake but for a while, I think I had enough Rainbow stuff in my stomach, so there it was, Double Chocolate Cake!
The drink I had is only Strawberry Lemonade. I thought that drinking lemon after my eating spree would be better for me.
And Tada! Just in several minutes, they were on my table.
~ Double Chocolate Cake ~
Price: IDR 60 k
Okay, don't be shocked yet with the price. At first, I have the same thought that it was quite pricey too, but the after seeing it for real, it wasn't so bad! One slice of the cake can actually be enjoyed by two people. Well, then again, like the name, this cake is just so chocolate! Of course, it's double right? Thus the cake inside and outside is just simply made from chocolate. The appearance of the cake was just simply beautiful, and I think it must have taken a lot of time decorating the cake. For the taste, other than being chocolaty, it's very good. It had this moist, smooth and not too soft texture. It could easily crumble and once you put it on your mouth, you could feel the cake melt in your mouth with this full chocolate sensation. The chocolate icing was simply outstanding, as I could feel the harsh sandy-like texture (it made it so good and unqiue), it just satisfied my craving for chocolate. Even though it's double chocolate, I don't think the chocolate was too much or overwhelming. Even my cousin who isn't too fond of chocolate, liked it.
After several bites!
~ Strawberry Lemonade ~
Price: IDR 25 k
This beverage is pretty simple, it made from fresh lemon juice and mixed with strawberry chunks. The lemonade was a bit sour, refreshing while the strawberry chunks made it fragrant. The amount of strawberry and lemon juice was perfect. It's more like mocktail somehow. It was simple, but good. If you like refreshing drinks, you might just like this beverage. if you'd like to have some other beverages, you can even try their Baileys Milkshake, or maybe Kahlua Milkshake. Both of them cost you about IDR 45 k, but I bet they're both very good. They have juice too, like Orange (40k), Red Cabbage Berry (40k) or maybe Apple Cucumber (30k). Green Tea Avocado sounds great too, and unique. You rarely find it elsewhere.
If you like alcohol stuff, they have beer too.
Well, I guess, I had enough for that day. And just by that short visit, I got a good impression for the stuff in The Goods Cafe. Certainly the place is nice, comfortable, and I'd love to come back and enjoy some more cakes they have.
The food they have there is not just cakes though. you can find other stuff like Salads, Snacks, Mains, and Sweets.
If you like Salad, you can even try Beetroot Salad (roasted beef, blue cheese, pickled red onion, with sherry vinaigrette dressing), or if you like some snacks, you can have Spinach Dip & Pita Chips (beef bacon, mushroom, homemade pita chips) and Creamy Mushroom Soup.
For sweets, the have cute cupcakes and cakes of course.
For the mains, I'd love to try Coffee Rubbed Burger some other time as it sounds really unique, coffee and burger huh?
The mains' prices vary from IDR 45 k to IDR 80 k.
While for the snacks, salads and sweets, the prices vary from IDR 20 k to IDR 60 k.
Beverages start from about IDR 20 k to IDR 50 k.
Btw, when I was taking pictures, I met a very nice woman, Chintia (pardon me if I mispelled the name
), who is the owner of The Goods Cafe if I'm not mistaken. I didn't get her name card since she ran out of it. But we chatted a bit, and apparently she said that they're going to discontinue the Double Chocolate Cake. Too bad, really but they're going to do some R&D about it, and make a better one. Some recommended cakes that she told me are Chocolate Malt and Rainbow Cake, and I haven't tried both. I bet they are delicious since the Double Chocolate Cake was very good.
Well, I'll be coming back again of course some other time. Too bad Pacific Place is quite far, I guess I just have to make time to dine in there some other time! Maybe I should try going to the Goods Diner too.
Well, either way, I guess we'll just have to see about it later!
And another thing, I heard that they're going to open another one in PIM. So, yeay for south Jakartans!
So, OpenRicers, you have to come here and have some cakes and stuff. They have great cakes and for cake lovers, it's a must for ya to try this place. Well, for people who enjoy a nice ambiance and good food, this is it. Visit here.
See ya OpenRicers! Real thanks for reading!
