It's located in pavilion in front of Mediterania 2 Apartment, little bit hiding if you don't pay attention actually. Find the Mediterania 2's gate across Central Park Mall, and you will see the signage. Beef Popcorn Chicken. (Rp 38.000)Juicy and well seasoned, but it would be perfect if you eat this one with chilli sauce in my opinion, depending on your taste palate. Crispy Baby Calamari (Rp 40.000)The little bite size calamari comes in exotic spices! So crispy, and in my opinion no need to eat this one with chilli sauce anymore. Pick this one as many as you can, only a little bit portion is never enough. Sausage and Egg Skillet (Rp 68.000)An unique menu by Open Door, it's a sausage and egg with corn and cherry tomato with tomato gravy served with toasts. Well, you see the gravy is so red, but don't worry, this one is not as sour as you think, worth to try.Vietnamese Chicken Chop. (Rp 60.000)MY FAVORITE!!!! The first time I saw this didn't expected too much, I thought it just an ordinary rice with ordinary chicken meat. But this one is so delicious, the meat is juicy, tender, and well seasoned inside and outside with Vietnamese seasoning. For me, the seasoning is somehow kinda similar with red chicken feet you see in dimsum restaurant.Kalbi Kimchi Burger (Rp 60.000)The taste comes from kimchi is pretty sour, but the kalbi is undeniable, and it is perfect to eat since it is topped with half-done sunny side up. If you are adventurous person in seeking the unique taste of foods, try this!Banana PopsDessert of the day, comes in mini size and three variants : popcorn, cheese, and nuts. It's a place with nice interior to spend the night with your friends, a bottle of beer would be perfect I think. Nice interior and feels literally like your own home!-See more photos of Open Door : bit.ly/opendoorxblackgarlicInstagram : arsubrataaudreysubrata.blogspot.com Lanjutkan Membaca

Hi Openricers.About last week I was invited to a brunch event, called Brunch In Red. If you happened to follow my Instagram account then you'll notice that I've posted some buzzers about the event. Well anyway the event took place at Open Door.Open Door is located within the vicinity of the Royal Mediterania Apartment lobby. It takes place in what previously was Midtown Owl Cafe. According to the owner, the name "Open Door" literally means, well, an open door. It means that the restaurant welcomes all people, all ages, students or professionals, mall visitors or apartment residents, to come and enjoy the food. The place is certainly comfortable. A touch of modern-minimalist was airing as I entered the premises. It felt warm and homey. A perfect spot for casual hang-out with your family or besties. But also suit well enough for business meetings since this restaurant also provides screen projectors in case you need to do a presentation. There are indoor dining area and and two outdoor dining area on the front and the back of the restaurants for you who happen to be a smoker.Open Door is now shifting its opening hours. Usually they will start serving from 15.00, but now the good news is they will start early at 11.00. So if you happen to look for a brunch spot, this could go well for you. And don't worry to miss out the brunch hour since Open Door served all day breakfast. As this event is all about brunch, then this post will be about food only and no beverages. Pardon for that. So let's just start, okay?Big Breakfast Plate - IDR 65K.Egg-your style, baked beans, sausages, toasted bread, and sauteed mushrooms. The egg-your style means that you can request the doneness level for the egg. As for this one above, it's poached medium so the egg yolk is still runny. What I loved about this dish is that it offers a complete set of (what I think) a complete breakfast should be. My only concern was that the baked beans were a little bit dry. But the sausage won my heart. And I loved the sauteed mushrooms too.Salmon, Asparagus, and Egg Benedict - IDR 70K.Smoked salmon, asparagus, poached egg, and cherry tomatoes salad. This menu came as my liking. Well, salmon is all time favourite fish and looking at its pink-ish color I directly knew that it was done with finesse. It's seasoned beautifully. The asparagus was nice. Crunchy in my mouth. Certainly the puff pastry itself was also good. A balanced dish all around. Loving it.Sausage and Egg Skillet - IDR 68K.Skillet baked sunny side up eggs, sausages, sweet corns, in tomato gravy. This one tasted a bit spicy. But overall the taste was delicious. The gravy was just spot on.Baked Double Mushrooms - IDR 65K.Creamy mushrooms with cracked eggs, smoked beef, bread.Everything creamy and mushroom will go in my must-order list. This one was yummy. The cream was delicious. The mushroom was abundant. And the parmesan sprinkles were a perfect addition.Strawberry Orange Marmalade - IDR 60K.French toast with maserated strawberry, oranges, almonds, and vanilla ice cream. The most beautiful dish that day. I usually never eat something sweet for breakfast but I will give an exclusion for this one. Actually it's a good dish but perhaps if I may give a suggestion then it would taste more delish if it was doused with umm..let say maple syrup.Well that summons up the brunch menus. But I also tried some other menus I would like to share. Here are some of them.Curry Dust Wings - IDR 40K.I was excited to find chicken wings available on the menu. Yes, I am a fanatic lover of this dish. And the chicken wings here were presented differently, since it was sprinkled with curry powder. The chicken wings itself came with a pretty crispy skin and tender meat. The basic flavor was already quite savory, and the curry powder boosted it more. Yumm!!Nasi Goreng Kambing - IDR 60K.Aromatic lamb fried rice, mixed with Open Door's special spice blend. One of the best-selling dish in Open Door is this lamb fried rice. The aroma was very fragrant. The taste was also quite unique. There's a punch of curry along with the tender lamb meat. It's quite delicious.Kimchi Kalbi Burger - IDR 62K.Braised beef shortribs, Korean kimchi, and sunny side up egg.A pretty unique dish. I actually never had any kimchi stuck between two buns before and yet I found it to be not disappointing. My expectations were, well considering it bears the name "kimchi", I would've guessed this dish to be more salty and sour. Yet it was quite savory. The beef shortribs certainly played a huge deal in affecting the flavors. Could be one of those enticing dish you just need to try at Open Door.Juicy Crunchy Burger - IDR 58K.Spiced crispy chicken, potato chips, and spicy mayo. Not a fan of kimchi but still want a burger? Needn't worry since you can order this one.A big chunk of battered chicken breast, cheese, and abundant potato chips will certainly pamper your taste buds. The chicken, especially, was awesome. Juicy, tender, and seasoned beautifully.Grilled Spring Chicken - IDR 85K.Grilled Spring Chicken with BBQ SauceGrilled Spring Chicken with Mushroom SauceOpen Door's signature marinated grilled half chicken with seasoned potato chunks. The last dish was the perfect closure. I just loved everything about this dish. The chicken was grilled to perfection, no doubt about that. I love the smoky taste and the tender succulent meat. Hands down, they really know how to process the chicken. The potato chunks were the bomb. In a good way, I mean. They're sweet yet also savory and certainly delicious. As you can see above, they also served the chicken with 2 choices of sauce: BBQ and mushroom. I find the mushroom sauce was a bit too salty though.Overall conclusion, I had a great brunch. The food, the ambiance, and the service was all spot on. Open Door is certainly a perfect spot if you should ever need a place to hangout. The food is good and the price is affordable too.My best of luck for Open Door Jakarta. I was looking for a new cozy place to hang out and eat with my besties. I've heard a lot of recommendations about this restaurant from the other food bloggers.Basically, i'd like to visit a restaurant that already well known but then i changed my mind and decided to have a quality time here.Located at Royal Mediterania Garden Lobby - West Jakarta, this restaurant is very cozy and looks very artistic. Well, actually i dont pay attention too much about the place. I always make sure that they serve good food with affordable prices.Open Door has western and asian dishes in their menu which are great. So we wont be so confused about what to order. Those who are always hungry in the middle of the nite, dont worry! Starting from 03.00 pm till 02.00 am, Open Door will make u feel satisfied and comfy I was a bit curious about one of their asian dishes. My friend told me, its a burger with kimchi which is korean authentic fermented vegetable side dish, and im not a big fan of korean food but its worth to try!Kalby Kimchi Burger - 60KIt tastes really good but a bit sour! Delicious fries, by the way Tokyo Banana - 42KThis one is my fave so far, its sweet and i love the overall flavor. and the presentation is wonderful!Classic Churros with Dark Chocolate - 30KEVERYONE LOVES CHURROS! This one was over cooked but the texture was crunchy.Macchiato - 22K "A cup of Macchiato was totally a pleasure."I had a good time at Open Door with my besties and i cant wait for another day! I'll come back again and try their newest delicious dishes! Lanjutkan Membaca

Heard about this place in West Jakarta, near the Central Park Mall, who opens till 2am.Came there at 11pm and excited by the athmosphere. From calm and warm couples, tipsy yet fun expatriates, designer ( or architect ) who was drawn in their laptops graphics, small bunch of grad-school students, young executives who chillin out with some coctails or beers, and people who just come there to just sit, chit-chat, snacks, and spend some time. It's a live venue for sure. The waiter will nicely greet you in to this cozy-wood-brown-warm-lighted place, and seated you well. The outdoor seat equipped with nice cooling fan and it really do what it do best. Looking at the menu, some names will intrigued you to at least think about it and wonder, how will it taste ?Decided to snack only for the night, Beer Pop Corn Chicken, Mozarella Stick, and Nachos Bolognaise were ordered.Beer Pop Corn came first, and yes, it have some distinguished aroma that wasnt clearly the beer aroma, but it is different yet nice aroma. Second came the Mozarella sticks. It's a regular Mozarella Stick with bread crumb, and the six sticks served with a proper size. I just wish they can add some cheddar, just a slight thin pieces on each, to add some taste. Then on the last round, the Nacho Bolognaise. Not much to comment, it's Nachos, with little bolognaise sauce, mayonaise or cheese, and some lemon zest slash chili touch. The rare and hidden bolognaise sauce tasted great though...Within the price range, it's only one word to describe, LOVE IT. The whole experience were uncomparable with other place at the price range. Either you want to bring your foreign guests ( because of it's casual Indonesian style dishes ) or go for a date, or eventually you just want to have a quality time with your gadget or laptop ( because the Wi-Fi was superb) , this is the right place to be.
