What is your favorite, ready to go snack on the mall? For me, it must be Auntie Anne’s! Unfortunately, in my hometown, Surabaya, there’s no Auntie Anne’s stall yet (too bad, right?) that’s why I couldn’t eat Auntie Anne’s in Surabaya, I always eat this one when I’m in Jakarta. The first time I’ve ever tried Auntie Anne’s was in Grand Indonesia. The stall is located on the ground floor, near the supermarket. Even though the location is not strategic – in my opinion – but people still queuing for A
Cinnamon Pretzel – IDR 15,000 When in Auntie Anne’s, the number 1 snack that you should order is the pretzel. I don’t know why, their pretzel taste really really good! Pretzel is actually a type of an original “roti goreng” but it has the shape is like an infinity. My favorite pretzel is Cinnamon. You could also order dipping sauce if you want.
Pretzel Dog If you bored eating their pretzel, then you could try pretzel dog. Basically the taste of the pretzel is the same, but this one has like a hot dog shape (maybe that’s why the name is also pretzel dog). Not only that, the filling also consists of sausage. Yes, a delish-savory dish.
Lemonade – IDR 14,000
A super refreshing drink that you need to order. Sometimes if I’m thirsty, I only bought a lemonade drink from Auntie Anne’s. It’s sour, but I still could handle it. One of my choice in a hot weather.
There’s nothing special and nothing to complain about, since the crew there will ask you what do you want, then straightly give that to you (all the pretzels are cooked, and they only need to push a button to fill the drink’s cup. A fast service, though.
The stall is not that big and doesn’t have a spacious area. The sitting places are super small, and I don't recommend you to sit inside, especially with the sofa one, because it’s really hard to get out. No wonder I always prefer to take away rather than dine-in.
