This afternoon, big sis and lil sis went out to the newest Japanese dessert cafe near our house, Matchafuku. It is located in the middle of Citra 6, Sixth Avenue. To be exact, on the second floors of MeaterS. You can easily find it because of its large, eye-catching nameplate (especially at night, because it will shine brightly!)This cafe has 2 section, smoking (outdoor) and non-smoking area (full AC). This cafe has 2 section, smoking (outdoor) and non-smoking area (full AC). Although the cafe size is small, Matchafuku’s interior designer totally nailed it. The smoking and non-smoking area are indeed cozy. Another nice thing about this place is, it has cute chairs and wall hanging that is influenced by Japanese culture.
Matchafuku is a Japanese dessert cafe which serve homemade matcha soft cream, Matcha Cake parfait, Anmitsu, Iced Matcha latte, and many more. But unfortunately, we only try their Matcha Cake parfait and the Chocolate Explosion. Maybe on the next visit, will try other menus!

This is seriously good. When you dig into this bowl, you will find smooth chocolate sauce mixed with shaved ice, crushed oreo, crunchy roasted almonds, some chocobomb (shiratama balls that’s filled with chocolate) and vanilla soft cream topped with sweet milo powder. Not forgetting the 2 chocolate pocky that made this Chocolate Explosion super cuteee! Sweet

Matcha Cake parfait, 29kThis glass that consist layers of matcha kante a.k.a matcha jelly (this has similar texture with grass jelly), cornflakes, read beans, matcha cake, shiratama balls, and of course Matcha soft cream! Many have been comparing Matchafuku’s parfait with other brand (Shir*ku**)’s parfait, but I can say that both of them taste similar (I’ve been to Shir*ku** before). The soft cream has a quite strong green tea flavor with a subtle hint of sweetness. A lil’ bit too bitter for big sis, but it’s okay for lil sis’ taste-bud.
