We had exams in the past two weeks. The day we had the last exam, we (my two friends and I) went to Pasar Cisangkuy (not before the exam, of course). This new restaurant is located precisely beside Café Cisangkuy, which is famous by its yoghurt and serabi, but this time I should talk about Pasar Cisangkuy because I was planning to do so. We had exams in the past two weeks. The day we had the last exam, we (my two friends and I) went to Pasar Cisangkuy (not before the exam, of course). This new restaurant is located precisely beside Café Cisangkuy, which is famous by its yoghurt and serabi, but this time I should talk about Pasar Cisangkuy because I was planning to do so.

I’ve seen the existence of Pasar Cisangkuy but never went there. After we went inside it, we found out that Pasar Cisangkuy is actually has a food court concept. The place is large (from the outside this place looked small) and has cozy atmosphere with pretty interior design. Cooking utensils and several things usually seen in kitchen and traditional market are used to decorate the place.

So, we bought pancakes after imagining about eating pancake during studying the exam material the day before (since one of our friend recommended the pancakes). Not more than 20 pancake items are listed in the menu. I bought Lemon Cheessy, while the two others bought Bavarian Apple and Blueberry Cheessy. Each item costs around 15,000 IDR. That’s worth for the portion and the taste, although we think that the temperature difference between the pancake and the ice cream was not enough significant.

We were tempted by the menu book for displaying pictures of some dishes so we decided to order a thin tuna pizza too. We also ordered a main course for each of us. I choosed bubur goreng for myself. The unique name of the dish interested me. The menu says that it is recommended to eat the porridge with two or more toppings—which are sold separately. I myself choosed beef tripe and mushroom. It’s tasted sooooo yummy! I really recommend this unique dish to anyone who visit Pasar Cisangkuy for the first time. This 10,000 IDR porridge is sauteed with canola oil and served with scallions, pangsit, and cakue. Additional toppings are varied and the prices range between 2,000-5,000 (per topping).

Those foods are so delicious but unfortunately the service served in this place is quite bad; this restaurant seems to lack of staff so it took so we had to wait so long for the food. However, all of us were satisfied with the food andwe're quite agree that we should come back again someday to try the other dishes.
