You'd never know Sukiya Gyudon existed from merely passing by it; it's hidden on the lower ground floor of Central Park Mall's east tunnel, next to the Mandiri ATM Center. The parking situation on the surrounding streets is hopeless, do don't even bother looking. Just park in the mall's lot and get your ticket.MENUThe menu was pretty eclectic. The menu was pretty eclectic. There were a zillion gyudon (beef bowl) varieties, as well as "sets" (gyudon with a couple of other little side dishes) and some other types of dishes. As soon as I got here, I got seated. Beautiful.
Menu's were at the table already. Awesome.
Pictures of all the food. Nice.
I had to ask the waiter what was in each different gyudon before I said... never mind. I'll just get the basic Gyudon (Beef Bowl). So here we go...
GYUDON (BEEF BOWL) IDR 29,090++
I like my gyudon simple and beefy. So I ordered the basic gyudon, a bowl of rice topped with beef slices and onions. This was what a beef bowl, what a gyudon, was meant to be. It wasn't cheap-cheap, but at least it wasn't expensive.
As for its quality? This was a proper gyudon, with thinly sliced beef cooked through but never burnt, and served with a generous amount of rice.
Alas, the side dish was a bit "blah". The beef croquettes were pretty standard.
The miso soup I got was good. Very refreshing. However not much seaweed in it, just a few tiny pieces of tofu inside the sizzling soup.
Food came out very fast. It took around 5 minutes so it was a quick meal if there wasn't a big wait.
The only bad thing was they were small in size... you could inhale the whole plate and you would want more!
The staff was always so friendly and helpful. They provided such an amazing customer experience to ensure their guests were very well taken care of. They were also so polite and friendly.
It was very quiet and tranquil. It was usually not so loud or crazy. It was a little small so if it was busy, you might have to wait.
So to wrap it up, you can break Sukiya Gyudon down as:
