One of the most famous Lontong Mie food stall is located in Pasar Atum. If you’re following my blog post or food posts here, you must know that Pasar Atum is one of the malls in Surabaya. It has 2 main places, which are the new Pasar Atum and the old one.
Lontong mie Ny. Maria is located on the 2nd Floor of Pasar Atum Old Mall. Just take the escalator once, then continue straight until you see some food stalls, and then you’ll spot a sign Lontong Mie Ny. Maria. This place is always crowded, so prepare for queue!Lontong Mie - IDR 15,000
Basically, Lontong Mie consists of a black soup (this is made mainly from Terasi or shrimp paste, mixed with some shrimp water, and also mashed garlic), yellow noodle, shrimps, and some dried tofus.If you’re allergic to seafood, then surely you can’t eat this. The portion of this lontong mie is not really big. You might need to eat 2 portions, or else just eat 1 portion, so you could try other food inside Pasar Atum Mall.
Sate Kerang - @IDR 1,500
The best side dish while eating Lontong Mie is Sate Kerang. Even though the colour is not that good, it taste so fluffy and flavourful. One is never going to be enough!Es kelapa – IDR 20,000
After eating lontong mie, you might need to refresh yourself by ordering es Kelapa at this stall. There es kelapa colour is somehow green, maybe they’re using green syrup as the base. However, I think their price for this es kelapa is kinda pricey, because the taste is not that nice – it’s like a plain water with coconut)
AmbianceIt’s super crowded, hot (no air-con) and the place isn’t that neat.
Service
Because they’re serving lots of people, don’t expect a high quality service. One thing for sure, relax because they won’t forget your order.
